easy logic and integration

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is how well it integrates with the marketing platform. Updating the logic is easy and features like Visualforce and Apex triggers make it very adaptable for different needs.

Cons

I haven't really run into anything I dislike yet. If there's one area that could be better, it would be the email design functionality which still has room for improvement.

All client details together

Pros

Having everything for my clients gathered in one system has been a big plus. It helps me keep track of different parts of the client journey and business stages and all the information I need is stored in separate sections while still staying connected in one place.

Cons

The workflow feels very linear which can be frustrating at times. It's also not always clear which fields are required or how to get back to a certain section to make changes. On top of that, the search feature sometimes fails to bring up related information.

Good product but poor support

Pros

They used to be a leader in the industry and they still serve a real need. Their products continue to do the job and work as expected.

Cons

Customer support is the biggest problem. If negative ratings were possible, I'd use one here. They offer premier support that costs tens of thousands of dollars yet you still end up dealing with an overseas call center that doesn't really understand the product which ultimately just wastes your time.

Flexibility and integrations

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of this platform is how flexible it is. It can handle all kinds of customer data, not just standard details like contact or account information but almost anything else you need to track and connect back to an individual account. That makes it incredibly powerful. On top of that, the large ecosystem of apps that integrate with it adds even more versatility and makes the platform useful for a wide range of needs.

Cons

Personally, the new version experience hasn't been my favorite. Even though most of the same functionality is now available in both classic and new versions, I still feel the new version interface is harder to navigate and the information isn't presented as clearly. It's also worth noting that the platform comes with a steep learning curve. The same flexibility that makes it such a strong tool can also make it feel pretty complex to learn and use.

Team-wide integrations

Pros

Integrations are the biggest reason we chose this product. It connects with a wide range of other platforms so it fit into our setup without much hesitation. It works alongside our existing processes and actually improves them. Having customer information readily available at all times has been really valuable and it's something our sales, marketing and account management teams all rely on.

Cons

One frustration is that it can be hard to tell who most recently updated a customer record when several people are looking at the same account at the same time. That becomes a problem when incorrect information gets entered and we need to figure out who made the change.

Tracking and templates

Pros

Getting everything set up in the beginning took a bit of time but once that was done, adding content, templates and client details became very easy. It also made it convenient to track email responses, clicks and opens.

Cons

There isn't really any major issue to mention, aside from the software sometimes feeling slow when used online.

Fast customer tracking

Pros

Right away, I'm able to pull up all the key information about my customers and stay on top of every opportunity in progress without any hassle. The reporting is also really useful for tracking how we're performing from quarter to quarter, spotting trends over the past year and staying informed overall. It's quick, responsive and very simple to work with.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind. It does exactly what I need it to do.

Scalable sales hub

Pros

Across every company I've worked with or consulted for, this is the platform we either relied on or eventually moved to. Once it's built out the right way, it becomes a scalable asset that keeps adding value to the sales team over time. The range of functionality is huge, leads, accounts, opportunities, metrics calculators, pipeline management tables, groups and even product creation. Setting up the product side was definitely challenging but I was thrilled that it could also support wholesale use. On the support side, they do a really thorough job. There's an entire site full of tutorial videos, live chat and Q&A boards. And if you still get stuck, you can actually talk to a real person who will help you sort it out.

Cons

Getting everything configured properly comes with a pretty steep learning curve especially if you don't have prior IT admin experience. It's much more manageable when you're starting with a smaller group and the system is more forgiving when you have fewer accounts, leads and records in general. But as the organization grows, proper setup becomes much more important. If mistakes happen once you're dealing with a large volume of data, they can take a long time to correct.

Insights and teamwork

Pros

Its data visualization and collaboration features really stand out. Everyone stays aligned and important business insights are always right there whenever you need them throughout the day.

Cons

The new version is noticeably slow. Waiting 1-2 seconds for a page to load after nearly every click gets frustrating fast and it seriously drags down the workday. Even on a hardwired connection with a brand-new computer, the system still feels laggy.

Professional CRM for nonprofits

Pros

From an overall standpoint, this CRM feels polished, professional and very complete. The biggest benefit for our organization is that they provide 10 users for non-profits which is a huge advantage since we're able to use it without having to pay for those seats.

Cons

Downside is that whenever we need to make changes in the software, it usually requires bringing in a programmer. Because we don't have one on staff, that becomes expensive so we can't always make the updates we need when we need them.

Buggy search and awkward setup

Pros

Honestly, there is not much that stands out in a positive way with this software. It works as an acceptable place to store business processes and knowledge articles but I would still prefer using SharePoint or even Google Drive for that purpose. At least it does make customer billing a bit simpler.

Cons

Using it has been pretty frustrating because it is very buggy. The search feature really needs improvement and changing a process takes way too many steps that are neither clearly explained in the instructions nor simple to figure out. Another limitation is only being able to open one case at a time and setting up permissions correctly is unnecessarily difficult.

Customizable CRM platform

Pros

After more than five years of using it, including relying on it much more heavily in a previous role than I do now, the biggest advantage has been how customizable the CRM is. With an internal team that can build tailored dashboards and workflows, it really turns into a powerful system for the business because you can adapt it to fit your company's exact needs.

Cons

There are still a few small limitations when it comes to customization. For example, creating things like 3-month rolling NPS scores isn't very easy and new version also takes a fair amount of adjustment if you've been used to working in Classic for a long time.

Fits any workflow

Pros

It can be tailored completely around your business needs which is a huge advantage. No matter what you need to do, there always seems to be a solution for it.

Cons

One frustrating part is the glitches in the back-end automation especially when it starts changing important data on its own. I've seen this happen with Leads and Opportunities and that can be really annoying.

Enrollment tracking tools

Pros

There's a huge range of options and they really work with you to build exactly what you need to track. At our college, we use it to follow each student's enrollment progress, add notes, log specific tasks and completion dates and move students through stages that match our own process. It also integrates with Volcocom so our contact center can reach out to leads. The software itself has been flawless even though Volcocom has not. From a management side, I can clearly see what my team is doing, assign leads and tasks and review reporting so I can make adjustments when needed.

Cons

Even though it's fairly simple, there is still a bit of a learning curve. They do offer plenty of resources to help you learn the system which definitely helps. Still, with so many options available, it can feel a little overwhelming at times.

Great tools and support

Pros

At the beginning, we were mostly treating it like a big contact database because we didn't fully understand everything the software could do. After joining a few free webinars though, we realized it's capable of much more. Now we use it to manage projects, track leads, handle emails, store meeting notes and plenty beyond that. The support team has been fantastic and always responds quickly whenever we have questions. The new version mode feels very fast, simple once you've spent a little time learning it and genuinely forward-thinking. We've also really appreciated the customization options and the Admin portal includes far more features than we originally expected.

Cons

There's definitely a learning curve at the start and it can feel a bit overwhelming in the beginning but the support team along with the free webinars and classes helps a lot. Moving from classic to new version mode was also challenging at first although it becomes more comfortable once you've had time to adjust.

Custom reporting tools

Pros

Getting the system up and running is quick and setting up customizations is very easy. There are plenty of ways to tailor it to fit your needs without having to write any code. Moving from testing to live use also happens very fast which saves a lot of time. They release updates three times a year and those updates regularly add useful new features that make the platform more capable over time. The ad hoc reporting is especially impressive and adds a lot of value.

Cons

Cost can feel quite high especially for anyone who will not use the full platform. On top of that, many extra features need to be purchased separately if you want the complete experience and it is not always obvious what is included versus what costs more. It also misses a few functions you might normally expect, such as being unable to highlight conditional fields.

All-in-one CRM

Pros

Right away, it feels highly customizable and flexible to work with. Among the CRM options on the market, this stands out as one of the best because it comes with a wide range of features and capabilities. It also connects well with many other applications which makes it even more useful. On top of that, it can serve as a central hub for an organization by bringing together expenses, leave management, marketing, sales tools and more in one place.

Cons

Managing the administration side is not very easy. Data validation around duplicates could definitely be improved as well. And if your internal processes are not well organized and disciplined, it becomes much harder to get real value from the system.

Sales management tools

Pros

It helps us manage a wide range of records in one place, including business entity names, customers, accounts, employees and sales data. Our client uses the new version Enterprise edition and we also work with Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and several of its other features which makes it a very capable platform for our needs.

Cons

At times, accessing data can get a bit complicated especially when custom objects need to be created to pull the information. That said, it does offer event-based notifications through Platform Events which is definitely useful.

Helpful customer lookup

Pros

One thing that's really helpful is how quickly we can pull up our consumers. When someone calls in and they've contacted us before, their information fills in automatically which saves time and makes the process much more convenient.

Cons

Frustrating part is that we can only create one order per case. We switched to this system to cut down on the number of cases but that really isn't happening. On top of that, it throws a lot of errors when placing orders which is very irritating.

Reporting that delivers

Pros

One thing that really works well with this product is how adaptable it is to different needs. I mainly use it as a support case tool where all actions related to a technical support case are recorded and it handles that job very well. The online performance is fast overall and the reporting features are especially strong.

Cons

This isn't a tool you can just jump into right away with no setup or learning. It takes a bit of time to understand how to use it properly although the online videos do help with that. Since administrators can tailor the product to fit specific needs some features become much more logical and useful once that customization is in place.
