Feature-packed platform

Pros

Everything is packed into one interface which makes the platform really capable. It also supports plenty of connections with other tools we use every day so it fits well into our workflow.

Cons

Because there are so many options available some adjustments may need to be handled through the API. That also means you might need a developer to build certain integrations with the tool.

Reporting and campaigns

Pros

Creating reports and campaigns with this tool is one of the best parts. Those are two tasks I handle almost every day and it makes both of them really simple to get done.

Cons

One thing that gets on my nerves is how often it pushes me into the new version view. I'd rather stick with the Classic view since I think it looks better.

Workforce planning and KPIs

Pros

This platform helps me handle a wide range of tasks. It's especially useful for workforce planning which makes the work much more manageable. I can also use it to track KPIs and monitor my agents' work-related activities in real time through live recording.

Cons

Getting it set up exactly the way you need can be challenging. We've also run into quite a few problems with slow performance and ongoing maintenance. That said, part of that may come from the fact that we're a large company with pretty high expectations.

Custom reporting flexibility

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of this tool is how fully customizable it is to fit different business and process needs. It can be used and managed without any coding knowledge which makes it accessible for a lot of teams. At the same time, if you do know the platform's programming language, you can create really impressive custom apps, objects and more. The App Exchange is also a huge benefit since you can buy and test plenty of add-ons that plug right into your org. Our team also connects Power BI directly to it for more advanced reporting. On top of that, the native reporting is drag and drop so end users can handle it without much trouble.

Cons

One area that could be improved is the support for moving from the Classic version to the new Experience version since that transition can feel a bit under-supported. Also, the native filtering and reporting can become extremely parent-heavy which makes things harder to follow in the built-in reporting interface.

Sales move faster

Pros

Handling sales has become incredibly simple with this software. Before we started using it, my work felt twice as hard but now it honestly feels like I'm getting the same results in 4 hours instead of 8.

Cons

I really don't have anything to complain about. It's hard to find fault with software that helps me make more money by the end of the day.

Popular and widely adopted

Pros

With roughly 20% market share, Salesforce.com clearly has strong adoption which gave me confidence that plenty of businesses trust it to run their operations. There are lots of solutions to choose from, including add-ons like Financial Services Cloud. I also appreciate that you can decide what to track and have flexibility in how you measure it.

Cons

Sorting through the options to figure out the right solution can feel overwhelming. The pricing also comes across as nickel-and-diming since each add-on seems to bring another fee. Setup is complicated and even compared with other CRMs, this one feels especially complex. Another frustrating part is having to submit your contact information just to view their marketing materials. It almost feels like you're paying them for the privilege of being marketed to. On top of that, the marketing feels misleading, when you click a friendly "Watch a Demo" button, it doesn't actually take you to a video. Instead, you have to fill out a form and wait for someone to contact you, likely with the goal of selling you on the product.

Reporting and sales tracking

Pros

This is a very powerful, in-depth software that keeps track of sales and delivers excellent reports that are incredibly useful for both the sales team and management. It also works really well for monitoring follow-ups with clients and business partners.

Cons

At the beginning, there were quite a few complexities to deal with. It was hard early on to understand the workflow, reporting and how everything connected. It's definitely a complicated system and not the best fit for basic users who don't have strong computer skills.

Lightning view and reports

Pros

From a user standpoint, this is very easy to work with. Adding contacts, leads, opportunities and accounts is quick and I can manage everything around my sales process without much hassle. I especially prefer the new version view over classic by a wide margin. The visualizations are excellent and the reporting tools are simple to use.

Cons

One part I really don't enjoy is the Classic view. I also don't like that only one super user and one limited admin at our company can truly make things happen. It's a complex platform so making changes isn't very simple. That said, part of this comes down to internal planning and recognizing those needs during implementation.

Sales tracking platform

Pros

This has been a really strong tool for tracking and analyzing sales and marketing data. There's a lot of flexibility with customization and it also offers plenty of integrations which makes it work well across different needs.

Cons

This tool can sometimes feel like it has a mind of its own so administrators really need to understand what they're doing even though it's definitely something you can learn over time. One ongoing frustration is that not every feature is available in new version yet so even though we use new version, I still get pushed back into Classic to fix certain things.

Love this CRM

Pros

Whenever I need answers, this CRM gives me everything I'm looking for. The reports are simple to work with and overall I really enjoy using the system. I'd definitely recommend it because it's very user-friendly.

Cons

Support wasn't consistently reliable and it was sometimes difficult to reach someone by phone.

Reporting and pipeline insights

Pros

After getting past the initial learning curve, this becomes a really valuable tool for managing the sales pipeline. The reporting features are excellent and it gives useful performance analysis for both my own work and my teammates'.

Cons

A lot depends on how the administrator sets up and manages the software. When the right reports are implemented and the relevant features are properly optimized, it can become one of your biggest assets. The toughest part is getting educated on how to use it although it does provide helpful training materials for both admins and users.

Automation and integrations

Pros

Compared with other CRMs I've used, this one still stands out as one of the best. It offers a ton of automation and connects with many of the top apps on the market which makes it really capable for day-to-day work.

Cons

A few years ago it felt even better aligned with what it was originally built for but as the company has grown, the product seems to have drifted from that purpose. Support has become an issue and customizations can be difficult as well.

Strong reporting but hard setup

Pros

There are a lot of features packed into it once you understand how everything works. The dashboards and reporting can be excellent when they're built out properly and it also performs reliably on mobile devices.

Cons

It is difficult to start and the setup process can be tough especially for a small or mid-sized business given the high cost. Without full company buy-in and a dedicated implementation team, it can be very hard to succeed with this software. The price is significant although you do end up with a very simple CRM and strong reporting capabilities.

CRM with endless flexibility

Pros

It is a very capable CRM and sales tracking platform with a huge range of functionality when it's set up the right way. I've worked at companies that used it really effectively and others that didn't so a lot depends on how well it's implemented.

Cons

Getting comfortable with the interface can take some effort because it isn't very simple. There are so many different ways to do the same task that it can feel overwhelming and all that power can be a little intimidating at first.

Flexible case logging with limited reports

Pros

One thing this software does really well is provide a very useful case-logging system and it lets us build whatever queues we need to stay organized. The level of flexibility it offers is something I honestly had not come across in other similar tools before.

Cons

There are really only two downsides I can point to, the reporting shows a fairly limited amount of data which meant I had to rely on Excel more often than I wanted and it took quite a while to fully learn. Even after using it for nearly two years, I was still discovering new features and different ways to work with it.

CRM automation that works

Pros

From handling customer questions to processing orders and reviewing results, this has been fantastic for our company. It has automated our customer relationship management in a way that really helps and we genuinely love using it. It has been amazing overall.

Cons

A few areas could still be polished to make it even better especially some minor messaging features that need improvement. Other than that, it has been nearly perfect for us.

Web access that scales

Pros

This has been a great fit for our client because it covers the functionality they need right now and there's room to add more as the organisation continues to grow. Since it's web-based, the team can log in from anywhere which is especially useful for sales reps who are out on the road and still need to keep management informed. They no longer have to come back to the office just to update records so there's really no excuse for late or missing information.

Cons

It's definitely not a plug-and-play system. Sales reps need proper training and it's important to make sure they understand how the different functions work. That learning curve isn't helped by the fact that the interface isn't particularly attractive or engaging. The pricing is also on the high side so it only really makes sense if you know you'll use the full range of functionality.

Client data hub

Pros

There's a place for practically every kind of client information you'd want to track, accounts, cases, emails, notes and more. It also gives you plenty of ways to categorize clients based on different items they use or are tied to. The reporting section walks you through the process step by step so building reports is very simple and changing the conditions only takes a few seconds. There's also an email template area built into the software which saves a huge amount of time once the initial setup is done. I could honestly keep going because this software has been that good. It's an absolutely fantastic product and I can't recommend it enough, seriously, just buy it.

Cons

One downside is that over the years, people with less experience entered data inconsistently or put information into places that don't show up well in reporting and cleaning all of that up takes a lot of time.

Reporting and support

Pros

Between the deep customization, responsive customer support, helpful troubleshooting articles and outstanding reporting, this CRM really stands out. It's one of the strongest tools you can put in front of a sales team because it helps keep everyone accountable and gives leadership clear, accurate reporting on both wins and problem areas.

Cons

To really get the most out of it, you'll likely need a full-time system admin to manage everything properly. That can be tough for a smaller company so the platform tends to deliver more value for medium-sized and larger organizations.

Cloud access and customization

Pros

Being cloud-based is a big advantage since employees can use it from anywhere. There's no need for any extra installation which makes getting started much more convenient. The navigation bar helps a lot with finding things quickly and the tabs are organized properly so moving around the system feels logical. It also offers customization options and gives useful ways to analyze a company's performance.

Cons

The licensing cost is quite high so it's not really a practical option for startups. Customer support also leaves a lot to be desired because they take too long to fix issues when something goes wrong in the application. On top of that, the reporting side could definitely use some improvement.
