“Automation and reporting”
Pros
With the right team handling the rollout, this platform has a ton of potential and can become incredibly powerful. It connects well with other systems, helps automate a lot of workflows and can save the company both time and money. The data capabilities are also really strong and the API is excellent. Using SOQL along with the reporting tools, it's possible to pull the information you need pretty quickly to support business decisions.
Cons
The interface is not my favorite. It doesn't feel very simple and I don't particularly enjoy working in it. Task management feels awkward as well and really needs some significant improvement.

“Strong features but messy interface”
Pros
There's hardly anything you could need that this platform doesn't already handle. It's been adopted across so many different industries that I honestly can't think of a legitimate competitor that matches its feature set.
Cons
Only downside is the cost and the fact that cramming in so many capabilities can create overly complicated interfaces that aren't very user-friendly. It reminds me a lot of SAP in that way. The implementation process and the decisions made at the beginning have a huge impact on how usable and polished the final product feels. Unfortunately, most of the installations I've used have been almost comically bad. To me, all those options end up hurting product quality and consistency because the implementation coordinator almost becomes the actual designer for the end-user experience. I've rarely seen so many options turn out to be so ineffective without much tighter design and implementation control. An entire market of integrators has grown around helping companies manage the complex admin and setup side but that can also create a disconnect from the actual users.

“Extra income that helps”
Pros
After using it for six years, I can honestly say it has worked very well for me. I've had real success with it and it helps me earn extra income from my product. I haven't run into any problems or issues during that time and overall it has been very good.
Cons
Service has been good and it helped me get set up step by step for selling my product online. I haven't had any problems with the support or the setup process.

“Sales data insights”
Pros
One thing that makes this especially valuable for sales managers is how much sales data you can pull, including pipeline details along with both current and historical sales. Since everything can be downloaded in Excel format, it's much easier to sort, manipulate and analyze the information which helps a lot when making smarter decisions about the next actions needed to hit sales targets.
Cons
It also includes email templates but creating something visually polished still requires HTML knowledge which means bringing in a programmer for template design. It would be much better if there were drag-and-drop tools so sales managers could build their own email templates without needing technical help.

“Sales tracking platform”
Pros
After nearly 10 years of using SFDC, it has become a really valuable tool for keeping track of my sales team's activity and pushing the right follow-up actions to create and close new opportunities. Setting up reports is easy and refreshing them is just as simple. It also works very well for managing business events and organizing follow-ups. Another big advantage is that opportunities can now be closed directly in the platform which helps avoid relying on another solution like Oracle or something similar.
Cons
User experience is really good overall. One improvement I'd still like to see is a connection between an Excel file and an SFDC report so data could sync both ways.

“Useful reports but weak for restaurants”
Pros
Having a place to save customer information and create reports for both myself and the sales team has been really helpful. Being able to look back at a client's history is especially important when it comes to keeping those relationships strong.
Cons
Since I work in the restaurant industry, this feels more like a general CRM than something built for our needs and it doesn't have the specific features required to help our business run more efficiently.

“All customer data in one place”
Pros
Having access to other services through it is really helpful and it keeps everything organized in one place. It can store a large amount of information for different customers and the reporting feature is useful for pulling insights from the data that's already been saved.
Cons
Figuring out how to build reports can be a bit confusing at first and setting everything up the way you want does take some time.

“Customer tracking platform”
Pros
It's a powerful, full-featured platform that gives sales teams what they need to succeed by tracking every part of the customer journey from start to finish.
Cons
Getting it set up can be a hassle. I've never implemented it completely from scratch, only transitioned over to it and that process has never gone as expected. There always seems to be some part of the migration that comes with an extra cost or ends up not being fully possible.

“User-friendly and polished”
Pros
From the start, the software felt user friendly and visually appealing. It connects with a wide range of add-ons which keeps all the information together in one place. It also auto-populates additional details and users can still edit or add information directly on account pages. Training was barely needed and it was quick to become confident using the software.
Cons
Only thing missing is an option to add multiple contacts from connected add-on sites.

“Reporting and planning tools”
Pros
Being able to build reports, work more efficiently and keep my day, week, month and quarter organized has been incredibly helpful.
Cons
Hardest part of creating reports is just knowing which fields are available and how they fit together. SF could definitely do a better job with tutorials and learning resources.

Pros
We've been using it for more than six years and it has consistently delivered excellent results. Just as important, we really appreciate the company's commitment to social responsibility.
Cons
One downside is that upgrading even to the basic level ends up being quite expensive.

“Top CRM with flexibility”
Pros
When it comes to CRM platforms, this one really leads the pack and there's a great reason for that. The system is user-friendly and you can tailor it almost endlessly to match what your organization needs. It also connects with a huge range of other tools so your sales team, marketing team and other departments can get just about anything done with it.
Cons
One thing that really matters during implementation is having at least a certified admin involved. If a company leaves it in the hands of people who don't really know how to manage it, things can get messy pretty quickly.

“Customization and support”
Pros
Working closely with their outstanding support team, our company has been able to tailor the platform to fit our real estate workflow really well, from transaction records and client details to mailings and financial reporting. Pretty much any data point you want to add or search for can be built in and the system comes with a huge range of features, like graphs showing team income, tools that help identify who we should contact next based on the best chance of closing a deal and plenty more.
Cons
At the same time, having that much data and that many features can make the system feel a bit awkward at times. There are a lot of functions I never use in my role that our realtors rely on and the same goes the other way around. It would be much better if the platform could limit the visible information and access based on what is actually relevant to each user.

“Feature-rich tool with support”
Pros
Right away, the API integration stood out because it comes with a lot of functionality. The CRM we use now can handle multiple companies which has been really useful and their customer support team has been excellent. They'll either assist remotely or take care of some of the work on the back end themselves. On top of that, they do a thorough job of explaining the process so you can handle it again later if needed.
Cons
API still feels somewhat limited and you have to move up to the enterprise plan to unlock a lot of the automation. There's also no built-in case merge or contact merge solution so those tasks have to be handled manually. On top of that, there's no duplicate checker which means if reps enter the same contact more than once someone has to filter through and remove the duplicates by hand.

“Flexible and scalable”
Pros
Its flexibility is a huge plus, you can really tailor it to match exactly what you need and it scales well as those needs grow. The integrations are also a big advantage and it's very easy to use. If you're comfortable with social media and have basic computer skills, it feels pretty natural. Honestly, there's a lot to appreciate about it.
Cons

“Feature-rich but messy”
Pros
There's no shortage of functionality here. The user community is active and committed and the huge number of third-party developers means there are almost endless customization options available.
Cons
At the same time, a lot of those features feel poorly executed or are so awkward they're practically unusable. The massive ecosystem of outside developers also creates plenty of conflicts between customizations and built-in features and support can be pretty awful.

“Custom dashboards and teamwork”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is how customizable the interface is, you can really make it your own and that makes a big difference in day-to-day workflow. It also gives businesses the ability to create strong graphs and reports that pull together sales and operational data and present it in a clear, easy-to-digest way. The Chatter feature has been really useful too. You can message co-workers directly and they get notified both by email and inside Salesforce. It's a very effective way to communicate within a CRM. The Tasks feature is another big plus. There's no need for sticky notes or emails getting buried in someone's inbox. It keeps teamwork organized and much cleaner.
Cons
After using it for about 9 months, I'd say the issues I've noticed are mostly related to things my company hasn't fully built out yet, rather than problems with the software itself.

“Our trusted system of record”
Pros
Back when I first integrated it at a company in 2000, it quickly became the system of record and it's stayed that way ever since. Honestly, the one time I had to work in another CRM, it really showed me just how far ahead this one is by comparison.
Cons
A few features that feel like they should already be standard end up sitting in the community as requests for years without going anywhere. The marketing reporting also needs improvement especially if you don't want to have to own Pardot just to get better insights.

“Growth platform”
Pros
Originally built for CRM but we ended up using the open-source database to run a huge part of my business. We layered in a ton of automation and it practically supported the entire company for five years, helping us scale to more than $7M in sales.
Cons
It definitely has some limitations but even with those, I'm still a big fan of the software.
