Flexible dashboards and tracking

Pros

The level of customization lets us track pretty much everything we need. The help resources are packed with useful information so a lot of the time there's no need to contact a live person. Reporting options and dashboards are also very flexible which makes managing things much easier.

Cons

More advanced reporting especially around customized objects, can be tough to work with. The mass email features could use some improvement and keeping track of changes is still challenging.

Trusted CRM that keeps improving

Pros

When CRM comes to mind, this is the one I think about first. It's easily one of the most popular options and there are good reasons for that. I've been using it for close to 10 years now and it has changed a lot over that time. The platform feels much more user-friendly than it used to.

Cons

Years ago, one frustrating part was not being able to move things around or handle multiple tasks at once. That used to be a real headache although the upgrades seem to have addressed a lot of that. One thing that still comes up at times is that the reports don't always come through in the format or style you want.

Built-in cloud calling

Pros

Having Five9 integrate directly for cloud calling is a big plus. It makes dialing prospects and contacts from inside the app really convenient and I can add notes right after a call or even while I'm still on it.

Cons

One thing that stands out less positively is how little it seems to have changed over the past 15 years. Some people may see that consistency as a benefit but I'd still prefer a more modern visual upgrade.

Customizable but lacks depth

Pros

There's a lot you can do with this platform and it feels highly customizable. With a capable system admin managing it, it can cover most tasks pretty well.

Cons

Customization only goes so far. It ends up doing a lot of things reasonably well but not exceptionally. Some of the better features require paying extra to third-party providers which is frustrating. Another downside is that it doesn't keep historical pipeline data, at least not at our package level and there's no way to have an Excel version of a report automatically emailed out.

Great dashboard tracking

Pros

Having all my work tracked right on the dashboard has been incredibly helpful. It lets me see exactly how many tasks I still need to handle without having to keep setting reminders for myself. Another thing I really appreciate is being able to log activity across all of my accounts so other users can view it. The search filters also make finding accounts fast and convenient.

Cons

There's nothing I dislike about this software. It's amazing!

Endless business possibilities

Pros

Back before I got into the IT world, I assumed it was just a CRM and basically another competitor to MS Dynamics CRM. After spending a few years in the industry, I've realized it's so much more than that. It can genuinely run an entire business, covering everything from CRM and finance to ERP and e-commerce. The possibilities with it really do feel almost endless.

Cons

Like any software, it does have its flaws. Most of my own experience has been on the development and administration side so that's the perspective I'm speaking from.

No-code CRM tools

Pros

Having no-code options for setting up the CRM and managing external interactions is a big plus. From an admin perspective, there are plenty of tools available to build what we need without too much effort and it can all be delivered pretty quickly.

Cons

Since the software is cloud-based, licensing every user ends up being expensive.

Custom reporting tool

Pros

After I got comfortable with the reporting tools and custom report setup, I really started to appreciate how much can be done. Being able to automatically generate data using the exact fields and combinations we need, then choose whether those reports are private or public, is incredibly useful. It has made data analytics around our sales and opportunities much more effective.

Cons

The learning curve is definitely a challenge and adding customized elements can be difficult too. We tried to set up an alert for leads who did not want to be contacted, along with those who had given consent so we could stay compliant with privacy requirements. Even after a programmer figured out how to add it, the result still was not as functional or as clear as we needed. There may be other ways to handle something like this but they are hard to track down and most of the suggested answers seem to lead back to paid add-ons which are tough to justify for a small business.

endless options

Pros

At first glance, the platform offers an enormous number of features and settings. It feels like you can accomplish almost anything with it. If you enjoy digging into the technical details, you can really go deep and uncover solutions for just about every CRM need.

Cons

It can be overwhelmingly complex. There is simply too much going on and information entered in fields does not always carry over so the same data has to be typed in again and again. Making the process simpler is not for the faint-hearted and finding answers can feel like you need an advanced technical background. I would much prefer something more easy. Imports are also unreliable and the software is expensive. It seems much better suited to large companies that have dedicated tech teams to manage the constant attention Salesforce demands.

Customizable CRM

Pros

It offers excellent functionality and really stands at the top when it comes to configurable, customizable CRM environments.

Cons

At times, it can feel like you're being nickel-and-dimed. It also leaves out a few basic features for what seems like no clear reason.

Customization and integrations

Pros

One of the biggest strengths here is the extensibility. It already comes with a lot of great built-in functionality but most companies still need custom workflows and integrations and this platform gives you plenty of ways to make that happen. It can be as simple as using webhooks to bring in data, like turning a basic form into a lead or as advanced as working with its own programming language and development environment. There is definitely a learning curve and in some cases it makes more sense to hire someone to build it out but the flexibility is there to accomplish just about anything.

Cons

GUI does feel a little dated at times and it can be somewhat slow. It also takes a while to get oriented and track down the specific features or data you need. That said, they do seem to be improving this and the search function is a helpful step in the right direction.

Flexible customer hub

Pros

Our Customer Success team relies on it as the go-to source of truth for customer information. We're constantly going back to it to track purchases, expiration dates and other important account details. One of the biggest advantages is how flexible it is since we've been able to customize it in a lot of ways to match our specific use cases. It also works well with the other tools we use and can even show external platforms as widgets right inside a customer profile.

Cons

Moving to the new version came with a few hurdles because the feature set didn't fully match what was available in the Classic version. That said, we were able to get through those issues and overall we've been pleased with the new version experience.

Tracking that scales

Pros

When this is implemented the right way, it's impressive how much it can keep track of. It can be configured to manage everything from web leads and the sales pipeline to invoicing and inventory so it ends up being a very powerful system. As we've grown, using it has become a lot more rewarding. Once I understood how it works, I really started enjoying digging into the data and managing projects with it.

Cons

Getting started is not simple for new users and rolling it out across an operation comes with an even steeper learning curve. A lot of CRM implementations fail and I've definitely gone through plenty of frustration and disappointment during this rollout. After two years of working at it little by little, I'm finally getting comfortable with it. The challenge hasn't really been the software itself as much as communication, internal processes and HR. Whatever you expect to spend in time and money, it's safer to assume it will take about twice that. If I had the option to make the decision again, I still would choose it but only if I were planning to grow past 10 users.

Polished and reliable platform

Pros

One thing that really stood out to me was the platform's customization and overall stability. I hardly ever run into errors and the interface feels polished, like a well-built software tool.

Cons

Even though it works very well, it can be hard to figure out without proper training. It's not as simple as some other CRM systems so getting comfortable with it may take time.

Sales follow-up platform

Pros

Across different companies, this has consistently been a really strong tool for managing customer reports and staying on top of sales follow-up tasks. It also worked well for tracking quotations within our particular setup. Each time I've used it, the system felt well aligned with what I needed in a sales rep or manager role.

Cons

A few minor kinks did come up, like not being able to go back from certain screens which was a bit frustrating. Still, overall it's a really great software platform.

Complete CRM with easy access

Pros

Working with this system has been a really positive experience. It's a complete CRM with plenty of options to manage and oversee your most valuable assets especially your customers. The interface is very user-friendly and there are lots of ways to access and review your data whenever you need it, from anywhere.

Cons

It's a very large system so getting the most out of it does require taking the time to learn everything it includes. That said, I don't really see that as a downside.

Sales tracking keeps me organized

Pros

Keeping up with my sales opportunities is much more manageable with this. I can easily go back and review meetings, stay organized with my tasks and work with multiple windows open at the same time.

Cons

One thing that could be better is how follow-ups are handled for clients. Right now, I have to create a new task every time and I'd rather be able to add notes in the comment section and leave the same task open for the next day.

All-in-one sales visibility

Pros

From a sales standpoint, it brings three big advantages. First, it's all-encompassing, you can keep everything you need to know about a prospect, opportunity or account in one place. All the important details can live there. Second, no matter which sales process you use, it does a great job of tracking it. Forecasting is one of the hardest parts of sales and this gives you an organized way to manage deals and get better visibility which makes forecasting more manageable. Third, it helps make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Cons

Only real downside that comes to mind is the layout especially when it comes to building reports. It's not very simple at first and does require some training but once you understand how it works, it becomes much easier to use.
