“Expensive for small businesses”
Pros
Built with sales teams in mind, this is one of the most powerful and flexible sales platforms I've used. It works well for sales departments of all sizes which is why it has remained an important tool at my company for a long time. Over the years, we've customized it quite a bit to fit our needs. I mainly rely on it for reporting and tracking field activity and creating reports and accounts is fairly simple. Contacts and notes can be added manually or I can bring in lists through the data loader. The customization options are especially strong and I've been able to make plenty of changes to contact and account properties.
Cons
At the same time, the platform can feel complicated if someone isn't very technical. As a small business owner, the monthly price is also very expensive and tough to balance alongside other operating costs. On top of that, customer support has room for improvement especially when it comes to training and answering questions.

“Flexible cloud platform”
Pros
A few things about it really make day-to-day work more convenient, first since it's a cloud-based platform, I can access it from anywhere in the world as long as there's an internet connection. It also does well when it comes to scaling and the modules can be customized to fit different needs. On top of that, the interface is clean, simple to navigate.
Cons
That said, there are still some drawbacks we've had to deal with. The cost is on the higher side compared with other CRMs on the market so it can feel expensive for startups and smaller businesses. Also even though it has a large third-party app ecosystem, connecting certain apps or older legacy systems can still take extra time, effort and resources. Customer support response times have also been an issue since replies are not always quick and the overall support experience could be better.

“Highly customizable”
Pros
The platform is extremely customizable so you can tailor it as much as needed to match your company's processes.
Cons
Getting started can be tough if no one on your team already has experience with it especially when it comes to understanding how to customize all the features. It's also pricey so I'd only recommend it for larger companies with 200+ employees.

“Built for growth”
Pros
There's a lot you can do with this platform. You can begin on your own but there's also an endless range of support available if you really want to tailor it to your business. The integrations with third-party apps like QuickBooks have played a big role in helping us grow. It's definitely an investment but it has made it much easier to expand into new territories and I can see us continuing to refine it and use it long term.
Cons
Because the tool is so powerful, getting started feels like the most intimidating part. You basically have a couple of paths at the beginning, either start with a bare-bones setup which is cheaper and simpler but leads to constant changes later on, many of which may require professional help or try to predict all the custom features you'll need upfront. On top of that, getting assistance for custom development is pretty expensive although that's not really surprising for something this in-depth.

“Highly adaptable platform”
Pros
It handles just about everything. With a knowledgeable IT administrator, you can tailor it in almost any way so it fits your organization exactly the way you need it to.
Cons
Making organizational changes in the system can be harder than it should be. To keep the IT database running efficiently, you really need to have or hire an administrator to manage major updates. And if you want to make bigger changes, you often end up depending on IT support which can take a while and their service reps are not always easy to understand.

Pros
Handling tickets, assigning individual agent tasks and keeping an eye on work performance have all been really useful. The analytics features also add a lot of value when it comes to monitoring how things are going.
Cons

It is not packed with unnecessary extras but it still includes everything needed to stay productive and keep work moving efficiently.

“Scalable business platform”
Pros
This platform scales exceptionally well and really sets the pace in the market when it comes to advancing capabilities for users. It's flexible enough to support a wide range of use cases especially when the needs go beyond just a single sales process.
Cons
Because the platform is so extensive, staying current with the latest features and technology does require ongoing investment. There is support and guidance to help with that but it's definitely not the kind of tool you can just install and leave unattended forever.

“Costly long term investment”
Pros
As the leading platform, it's been around as long as just about anyone and that popularity has helped it build a strong ecosystem of support resources and content.
Cons
At the same time, it really depends on that community and content network it has built around itself. The added costs for training and contractors make it too expensive to maintain as a worthwhile organizational investment. If a company already has SF, it makes sense to invest in making it fully usable but I would never choose to roll it out from scratch at a new company.
