Horrible service and no support

Pros

Honestly, there wasn't anything positive about it. The service was terrible and we would have been better off staying with Excel spreadsheets.

Cons

They wouldn't help us at all or cooperate with our partners. Training support was lacking, they wouldn't let us connect an API and they made it difficult to manage data the way we needed. On top of that, it didn't work properly with our ESP.

CRM with standout integrations

Pros

It has plenty to offer especially for growing businesses which is why it's known as the world's #1 CRM. The number of features is impressive and the third-party integrations are particularly excellent. In my organization, we use it with internal tools for project creation and for tracking opportunities further and that integration has been really valuable.

Cons

From what I've seen while using and extending it, the platform is fairly expensive. A lot of the functionality depends on which add-ons you purchase so you're limited to certain features unless you pay extra to really get the full benefit of the software.

simple setup but limited sharing

Pros

Getting started with it takes almost no time. The interface feels simple and within minutes you can begin scheduling content and pulling reports without much of a learning curve.

Cons

Weak spot is social media sharing. It has a few limitations, like not being able to post directly to Instagram Stories, not allowing reposts from another Facebook fan page and not offering competitor comparison features, among other things.

Feature-packed and versatile

Pros

It works for a wide range of tasks, from sales tracking and follow-up to communication between offices. There are so many strong features packed into it that it's hard to list them all especially since the platform is so deep and can be used differently depending on the type of business and the way you want to set it up.

Cons

That same depth and flexibility can also make it difficult to tailor exactly to your needs. In my case, I work as an insurance sales rep with offices across the country and each location operates a little differently because they offer different products based on the market. Trying to make the system fit every office has been a real challenge. We've been using it for years and honestly, we're still working through the best way to narrow it down and use it the right way.

Account tracking tools

Pros

Being able to build out accounts and keep adding onto them was a huge plus. It also does a really good job of tracking and storing a large amount of information.

Cons

A downside is that a lot of the features it advertises only seem possible if you buy additional outside programs and add-ons.

CRM with client visibility

Pros

This has been one of the most practical and user-friendly CRMs I've worked with. It comes with a lot of features and it makes it simple to keep track of client details at all times. I also always know exactly which customer needs a follow-up call which helps a lot with daily work.

Cons

Setup and configuration side does require experienced people to get the project deployed properly but once you begin using the software, it becomes clear why that level of expertise was necessary.

Custom workflows that power us

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of this software is how fully customizable it is. With the right development team working on it, you can build workflows, automate emails, connect it to your email system, locate open appointments, set up bill reminders, create tasks and even receive daily summary emails covering all of that. It plays a vital role in helping our company run efficiently.

Cons

The downside is that it can be a bit difficult to navigate if you're coming at it from an accounting background like I am. I understand what the system is capable of but I don't really know how to make it do those things myself. If you're not a developer and you use it right out of the box, you end up missing a lot of its potential. I also wish they still provided a courtesy license for developers since we now have to pay for an extra license whenever we need to make changes.

Customization and faster service

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how incredibly customizable it is. Because there's so much flexibility and reliability built into it, it helps create a much better customer experience. Wait times are noticeably shorter when working through the system which makes a big difference overall.

Cons

Like with any new role or software, there's always a bit of a learning curve. Thankfully, getting comfortable with this platform happens much faster than with other systems I've used before.

speeds everything!

Pros

Back in 2017, when I first started using SF, it was a completely new experience for me. I had come from a government organization where we were still relying on fax machines so stepping into a new job and being introduced to the IT world was a big shift. Once I got deeper into the Sales Cloud side of it, I could really see how much faster the sales process became and how much easier it was to monitor and keep everything organized.

Cons

Up to this point, I really haven't run into anything I dislike since I'm able to use the product without much trouble. If I had one suggestion, it would be to put more work into the visual interface because new version isn't the best in terms of how it looks.

Reporting and dashboards

Pros

Right away, the platform feels very powerful. I really appreciate being able to build reports and dashboards without much hassle. It also helps our teams cross-sell more effectively and tracking opportunity progress along with customer interactions is very easy.

Cons

Most of my complaints probably come down more to how my company set it up than to the software itself. There are times when I run into issues pulling reports and sometimes the report types I use don't include the specific data points I need.

essential tool

Pros

For any enterprise business, this feels like one of the best CRM platforms to have. We rely on Marketo for marketing automation and Sales Cloud plays a key role in handling leads, contacts, accounts and campaigns for our marketing operations.

Cons

Classic is probably the part I like the least. Even though new version can be a bit slow at times, the interface is still much more convenient to use.

Difficult to manage and maintain

Pros

No clear advantages stood out from my use since the positive section was not provided.

Cons

This CRM really needs a dedicated person or even a full team to manage it properly inside the company. The way the software is designed makes it feel overly complicated, to the point where you may need to hire someone just to handle and use it effectively. On top of that, downtime has also been an issue which only adds more frustration when you rely on it regularly.

Pros

Keeping track of deadlines with this helped me line up my tasks better and get my project completed on time.

Reports couldn't really be reused and the file upload size limit is pretty restrictive.

Sales capabilities that shine

Pros

From a sales perspective, it pretty much covers everything you'd need and can handle just about anything.

Cons

The back end is frustrating to work with and comes with a pretty steep learning curve. On top of that, setting up validation rules is nearly impossible unless you have help from someone in IT.

No-code automation solution

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how many workflow and lead-routing tasks this platform can automate without needing code. It's a massive system so you can build just about anything although getting to that level does mean learning how to program within it. From a developer's point of view, it feels very complete and the large community is a big advantage.

Cons

If you only plan to use the platform out of the box, there are more accessible and lower-cost options available. Support is decent but plenty of clearly missing features, something even reflected in their own feature request portal, can take years to arrive. Developing on the platform can also be tricky because of its limits though that pressure does push you toward writing more efficient code and better solutions.

Faster reporting

Pros

Since upgrading to the new version, creating and managing reports has become much quicker and more convenient and I can handle them whenever I need to.

Cons

Because you can have several profiles, it can be a bit frustrating if you forget which one a report was pinned to since you may need to check them one by one. It's mostly a matter of keeping track of where your dashboards and reports are to avoid delays or confusion.

CRM with endless options

Pros

Feature-wise, there's very little to criticize here. It honestly covers just about everything you'd expect from a CRM. The ability to add or remove features is a big plus because it lets you tailor the system to exactly what you need without being stuck with tools you'll never use. It's an extremely powerful CRM with a very detailed, layered setup. Since it's also the most widely used CRM, finding employees who already know their way around it is much easier and that matters a lot. Overall, it's pretty amazing what this platform is capable of doing.

Cons

Biggest downside is the price because it's incredibly expensive. There are plenty of cheaper alternatives available but they don't offer the same level of functionality so it really depends on who it's meant for. It definitely won't be the right fit for everyone. On top of that, the software is not simple at all and it often feels like you never fully master it. Customer support is also underwhelming at best.

great CRM but overly complex

Pros

As a CRM, it works well enough and that's really where I think the software does its best. I understand why it's one of the most widely used CRM platforms but to me, its value mostly stops there. It's good at being a CRM but I don't see much beyond that.

Cons

At the end of the day, it gets the job done but it's far from beginner-friendly. If you have little or no previous experience, it's very difficult to learn and not especially user friendly. It feels unnecessarily complicated when all you need is a CRM. Even the training side of it is tough which makes it understandable why companies hire Salesforce experts just to handle the setup. Overall, it's simply very complicated.

Excellent sales analytics

Pros

Out of all the CRMs I've used for managing sales, this one has been the best. The analytics around the probability of closing an opportunity are especially impressive and really stand out.

Cons

I'm not completely sure whether this comes from an integration or development issue but it does get buggy at times. I've run into cases where progress made while editing an opportunity didn't save and error messages showed up.

All my casework in one place

Pros

Keeping everything organized is much simpler with the alerts and tasks you can set up. The reporting tools make it really helpful to view all cases on one screen and check when each one was last updated which makes it easier to stay on top of updates and keep cases current. It has made my job more manageable by putting emails, work orders, tasks, knowledge articles and team collaboration together in one tool.

Cons

It does glitch at times and will occasionally drop emails.
