Conversion gains!!

Pros

Compared with our previous Pulse site the difference in our day-to-day workflow has been huge and our conversion rate has been excellent. The admin panel is mostly simple to navigate.

Cons

I'd still welcome more detailed reporting although if you're comfortable creating Excel macros, the export feature works as a decent workaround.

reliable platform and stellar support

Pros

After using Pulse Commerce for more than 17 years it has given us real peace of mind knowing our websites, inventory, order processing and shipping keep running day after day with almost no downtime. The part we value most is the management and support team behind the software. Over the past 17 years, it's been a pleasure working with Pulse Commerce and it has truly felt like we've grown alongside each other.

Cons

The integration with social media and third-party marketing platforms could be made a bit more user friendly.

Multi-channel uptime powerhouse

Pros

Running a multi-channel business is much more manageable. We sell through Shopify, BigCommerce, eBay and Amazon and Pulse has been flexible enough to support just about any platform we want to use. Their uptime has been outstanding.

Cons

Actually the integrations aren't really plug-and-play so they usually need development work from their professional services team. That means whenever we want to test a new idea or roll out something different, it takes extra investment and a bit of time to make it happen. Still, it hasn't been too much of a problem.

all-in-one growth engine

Pros

Switching to Pulse Commerce replaced the patchwork of tools we were relying on before.. Magento for eCommerce, Boxstorm for inventory, GoData Feed for Google Shopping and Connex for syncing orders into QuickBooks. Since making the move, our site has stopped going down and page load times are noticeably faster across the board. It's also much more SEO-friendly now. Having inventory and sales managed in one system has made a huge difference. We can check stock levels accurately, know when it's time to reorder and handle that process without the confusion we used to deal with. Drop-ship orders and purchase orders now move through the system without the constant manual effort. Being able to assign vendors and product costs directly inside the platform has been a massive help. The Google Shopping feed is another big win. Pulse Commerce includes a setup process that's simple but still very capable and within just a month of going live we saw a noticeable jump in Google activity. On top of that, we were able to cancel GoData Feed and stop paying for that extra service. Sales are already trending upward because we can finally spend more time expanding our product line instead of worrying about keeping several disconnected systems running. And whenever questions or small issues come up, there's a responsive support team we can contact through a real support ticket system. These are only some of the ways Pulse Commerce has helped push our business ahead. With those roadblocks removed, we're seeing strong growth at ZZ.

Cons

Only real downside is that when we want something custom built, it can feel like there are a few hoops to go through before it gets implemented. That said it seems to come from their focus on keeping the platform stable. If they're going to make changes to the core software, they want to be careful not to disrupt that stability. In the end, having a dependable platform matters more to us than most of the custom changes we might want.

Real-time restaurant insights

Pros

Running our restaurant has become much more efficient. The app makes it simple to check POS-related numbers from anywhere and the information keeps updating along with the POS system in real time. Because of that, we don't have to dig through printed checkout slips or go back to a desktop just to answer quick questions like how many specials we've sold today or how much we've spent on comps and what percentage of net sales that represents. It's also been very useful for monitoring guest counts during specific hours which has made scheduling based on volume a lot more accurate. On top of that, we can see who has taken breaks and when which has also helped us keep better labor reports.

Cons

Honestly there isn't much to complain about with the app since it helps our company handle the tasks we need very quickly. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be having access to data across all categories for longer, maybe for a full week. Right now, we can view sales forecasts based on the previous year but things like employee comps, voids, breaks and similar data disappear once the day ends.
