Pros

I love many features of the AccountEdge, including the integrated payroll option, customizable invoices and the ability to handle retainers.

Cons

If you're not familiar with accounting rules, the software can take some time to learn and use effectively.

“Everything I need to mange my small business accounting needs

Pros

AccountEdge Pro is simple to set up, use and expand. I recently added the payroll feature, which will save me money by eliminating the need to hire a professional for my small business payroll. The modules are easy to understand, and the connectivity between features is seamless. There is plenty of available support that either comes for free or at a reasonable cost, which doesn't heavily impact my expenses.

Cons

There really isn't much I dislike about this software. I've been using AccountEdge for nearly 20 years and have never considered replacing it.

Pros

Personally, I'm not a big fan of it. However I must say that he order entry and purchase order processes are quite simple.

Cons

I find the visibility of payables, receivables and some of the reports a bit misleading. Everything is organized by order or invoice date, and there is no field for due dates in the payable reports. It would be more user-friendly if it had some of the capabilities that QuickBooks offers, as I've used QuickBooks in the past.

Pros

As a co-owner of a small business in Texas, I'm responsible for bookkeeping. I wasn't a business major, so I needed a system that was relatively simple to use yet robust enough to meet our needs. I also wanted a non-cloud-based solution that is Mac-friendly, and AccountEdge Pro has fulfilled all these requirements.

Cons

Although there are more features than I actually need, I was able to find the specific functions I wanted and I'm extremely satisfied with AccountEdge Pro.

Pros

The ease of use for progress billing is fantastic. I can easily bill daily sales using a user-friendly format which ensures that I don't miss any charges and avoid revenue loss.

Cons

It would be helpful to have the option to display a customer's total outstanding balance without generating a statement. Additionally, I find the reconciling process for bank statements and credit cards to be a bit clunky. When I group my deposits for a bank deposit slip, they sometimes appear twice, and the customer balances on "cards" can be inaccurate.

Pros

I like the fact that the program installed on my hard drive rather than being forced to "rent" the service indefinitely.

Cons

I haven't come across any objectionable features. Setting up AccountEdge does take some time, but I like the fact that I have full control and supervision over each step of the process.

Pros

I really like this software. It's easy to use, and they don't try to squeeze money out of you every year or two through mandatory upgrades. As an accountant, I recommend this software to all my clients.

Cons

It's a bit inconvenient that when I need to change a payroll check, I have to delete it and reprint or post the paycheck.

Setting up AccountEdge in my company was a smooth and quick process. Navigating through the program is smooth, and it has all the features found in overpriced software from big-name companies and more. It's perfect for our air conditioning company as it allows us to break down accounting by jobs. The payroll service is user-friendly, regularly updated and I've only had to contact customer support twice, with both instances resulting in quick and satisfactory answers. I highly recommend this software to anyone in need of customized reports, job tracking, and efficient employee management.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is that most payroll reports don't provide totals. I have to export them to Excel and reconfigure them to get the totals, or manually calculate everything. Some of the reports are also challenging to reconfigure in Excel due to their layout. Additionally, the software doesn't allow access to history beyond two years, so I have to refer to my backups if I need to find older information.

This software is incredibly easy to use, cost-effective and offers robust functionality. It supports multiple users, responds quickly, ensures security and provides excellent support and accessibility.

Cons

There is nothing to complain about with this software from our perspective.

Setting up AccountEdge is so simple. Also it is easy to use and understand. In plain and simple words, it's easy.

It might have too many features for my personal use, haha. I don't use many of the available features, but I appreciate them as they are always there when I need them.

I purchased the original software a long time ago because it was Mac-based. As a dedicated Mac user, it was the perfect fit for me.

Cons

It may sound unimportant, but I wish the decimal point floated. Additionally, there should be a more streamlined method for entering "online" payments in the checkbook. I only use the checkbook and payroll functions, so the rest is unnecessary for me.

I've been a loyal user of this software for years. It excellently keeps track of all necessary payroll information which makes it simple for to handle payroll tasks on my own.

Cons

It could be a user error, but I wish there was an easier way to delete items in inventory or change their names. As Sharp dealers, product numbers sometimes change, and I'd like to keep our inventory list concise to maintain a smaller file size.

“So many functions and stable for 13 years use now

Pros

The software is constantly updated, and I've only encountered one data "glitch" in my 13 years of using it. Despite handling hundreds of thousands of sales invoices, quotes, purchase orders and transactions, their support team quickly resolved the issue.

Cons

I love that they introduce new features every year, although I often find them less useful compared to others. However, they are always open to feedback, and I'm excited for the implementation of some of my suggestions. Additionally, I wish the network edition was compatible with Windows.

Pros

As the office manager of a small company, we previously used QuickBooks. However, their customer support was unhelpful and located outside the US. When we switched our computer system, I made the switch to AccountEdge for our accounting software. The three main factors for me were the availability of customer service based in the US, easily reachable via phone call, reasonable pricing and a decent program.

Cons

Making corrections and adjustments causes more difficulty for me.

Pros

I've been a loyal user of AccountEdge for many years. It's quite user-friendly and has grown alongside our business. I can easily track inventory and the auto-build feature works seamlessly, saving me hours of time.

Cons

Once I've used inventory item information, I cannot change it, and if the information on different cards doesn't match, I'm unable to combine them. In such cases, I have to create new items.

It covers all our needs well. From cash accounts, including checking, to receivables, payables and more.

Cons

We've been using it for so many years that we've become accustomed to it. Since we no longer have to spend time on learning, I don't have any complaints. However, it would be preferable if it integrated more smoothly into our database or Excel.

The payroll tools and inventory management are excellent.

I wish it had more comprehensive client management/contact features. Additionally, it would be great to have the ability to combine products for price breaks in the inventory module and more price break columns.
