Easily accessible on phone

Pros

One thing I really like is how accessible it is as I have been able to pull it up on my phone easily whenever I am away from my desktop or laptop.

Cons

One frustrating issue is that I cannot open PNG files after uploading them. Every so often I upload an image in PNG format and it's not viewable inside the app which forces me to take the extra step of converting the PNG into a PDF before it will display properly.

Great for transaction management

Pros

What I really like about BoldTrail is its transaction management. It allows me to build a transaction from beginning to end and keep everything consolidated in one easy to access place. Sending documents for electronic signatures is also easy and stress-free. I even find the contacts area very helpful as I can add someone there and have all their details at my fingertips when we're scheduling showings or preparing offers which saves me time and keeps things organized.

Cons

When I first began using the app, I could easily locate buyer-side paperwork which I really liked. Lately though all the buyer transaction items seem to have been moved into another area, so now they are hidden away and I keep overlooking them.

Excellent all in one system

Pros

I really like that it's an all in one system that covers most needs. There are just a handful of small changes I'd want to personalize to suit our workflow but on the whole it's excellent.

Cons

Honestly the lack of merchant services is my biggest complaint. And I am frustrated by being limited to only two provider choices because it leaves us stuck with whatever those two offer. And it's been two months since I tried to switch our business bank account and I am still dealing with Braintree problems, so I cannot shut down the old account.

Team depends on it daily

Pros

Our team depends on Back Office to keep transaction management efficient and secure. We rely on the checklists, visibility features and task lists every single day and they get heavily used across the whole team.

Cons

The form management is not as user friendly as it could be. While there is an option to build custom form packages, putting them together takes a significant amount of time and effort.

Terrible cancellation process, headache onboarding

Pros

I like that the system supports ACH payments to agents. The transaction checklists for agents are thorough and reliable too. I also like the detailed permissions, the powerful commission calculator for paying agents and the included forms and email templates though those can sometimes be frustrating.

Cons

From my experience, customer service around cancellations is absolutely terrible and feels dishonest at times, so I would warn others to be careful. Also onboarding was a real headache for me. Support responses can be inconsistent too as sometimes they're just meh, while other times they deliver outstanding help. The forms are also messed up although they do function but they feel old-school and lack any rich text options, plus everything defaults to center justification which looks odd. Testing for onboarding is especially painful because there's no way to reset a test account and resend documents yourself. I had to rely on their development team to clear things which regularly took a solid three-plus days. After fixing one issue, I'd redo the process, hit another snag and then wait yet another few days that loop became very frustrating. And seriously, no rich text? Their onboarding instructions, checklist notes and email templates are all plain text, so it's hard to scan or format anything because no bullets, bold, underline, indentation or alignment controls are available. These are mostly cosmetics but they make things look unpolished. Despite these headaches, I do think the core features are worth it.

Easy to keep everything in one place

Pros

It is pretty easy to keep all my items organized in a single place. Overall this saves me a huge amount of time and makes it easy to follow what's happening without switching back and forth between multiple platforms.

Cons

Sometimes a few of the features don't feel very easy to use and it takes me a bit of time to learn where everything is tucked away.

Cons

While I like many features, not everything can be customized for our small office and support is not always as helpful as we'd hoped.

Total game changer like a personal assistant

Pros

Using Boldtrail has been not a problem and honestly a total game changer. As I don't have to worry about losing or misplacing any documents anymore. It acts like a personal assistant, cutting down on time and effort and whenever a client or vendor asks for something, I can pull it up instantly.

Cons

What bothers me is that broker disclosures have been pulled out as a separate item instead of being included inside the sales contract package.

Likes that everything is linked

Pros

I really like that almost everything is linked and most features can be tied into BackOffice without much hassle.

Cons

On my phone I find the mobile app needs improvement because it is more limited in functionality, so I usually have to sign in through my phone's web browser to finish tasks.

Impressed by speed and simplicity

Pros

To be honest, I am impressed by how fast and well the program runs. I also really like being able to send documents straight from a file. The interface is also simple to navigate and I value the pipeline details it provides.

Cons

For starters, I'd like the layout to be tidier and more structured. Also it would be great if I could update my commission as an agent so the pipeline amounts match reality. Also I want to be able to enter exact date ranges when creating income statements. Splitting files should be simpler and better organized too. Another frustration is that assigning a document sometimes displays entries from cancelled transactions. I would love a feature that lets me build forms similar to what Skyslope offers. Overall it needs a few small organizational tweaks and feature upgrades across the board.

Interface and integration outstanding

Pros

The interface has gotten a lot better since we last checked out the product. The agent dashboard and pipeline are outstanding too and the QuickBooks accounting integration totally transforms how we handle finances.

Cons

In my experience, the team transactions feature still needs improvement to let team leaders share things more effectively. In short I'd like to see better sharing controls.

Centralized with useful reports

Pros

I really like that everything is centralized in one spot. Plus the reports are genuinely useful to admins, brokers and coaches and it also creates CDAS.

Cons

As an admin and broker, I cannot view company-wide goals and tracking for the whole brokerage from the dashboard.

Amazing features, simple agent management

Pros

The variety of transaction features are amazing and I also value how simple it is to oversee and manage every agent from one place.

Cons

One issue I have is that administrators cannot view the office-wide goals or get a clear view of the offer workflow and on top of that, the automated emails sent to clients don't sit well with me.

Fantastic for on the move access

Pros

Being able to be anywhere in the world and quickly pull up a form, glance through a scanned document, or update transactions while I am on the move is fantastic. I admit I felt nervous at first but I have discovered I genuinely love using it. What I like best is copying and pasting the transaction's email address to send documents straight over it's such a handy time-saver. Truly awesome.

Cons

I do end up setting up a few document tasks myself which isn't really a surprise and I expected that part. What frustrates me is when I want to email a form directly from the app but I am limited to sending only to contacts I already added to the transaction. If there were a way to type in a new email address on the spot, I'd be much happier that flexibility would make a big difference to my workflow.

Ideal transaction management hub

Pros

BoldTrail BackOffice makes it easy to keep transaction checklists and supporting documents together in a single place. Before switching, I relied on one platform for transaction management and a separate tool for document storage. Now both functions are combined into one, turning it into my ideal transaction management hub. It's flexible and can be tailored to my specific needs.

Cons

What I find frustrating about it is that adopting it means I must abandon other platforms to centralize my day to day operations here which makes migrating and consolidating everything feel like a big commitment.

User-friendly and centralized

Pros

My brokers and I really like how user friendly this platform is. Overall it is easy to use and keeps every tool and resource we require centralized in a single place.

Cons

I'd really like an option that lets me dispatch checklists in batches to all of my brokers at once, rather than sending them one by one.

Brokermint from a Transaction Coordinator's view

Pros

I like how the checklist keeps me accountable to my clients, ensuring their transactions are completed promptly. I can handle most of my tasks within Brokermint, which also stores all communications.

Great for tracking agent productivity

Pros

Back when I was running a franchise, I honestly didn't feel like something like this was necessary. Once we left that model and I started tracking our agents productivity with spreadsheets, it became obvious very quickly that we needed a much more capable solution. I really appreciate Brokermint because it takes care of the whole transaction process such as forms, e-signatures as well as tracking each agent's production and cap. Overall it's a great system and I have found the ongoing product updates to be consistently dependable.

Cons

Well I wish the interface and workflow were more like dotloop or DocuSign so my agents wouldn't have to struggle as much with a steep learning curve.
