For medium to smaller not-for-profits, this software is a top choice. It operates on the cloud, which eliminates the need for a server. It automatically backs up and saves data, and its modules cater to all the requirements of a not-for-profit organization.
Cons
I haven't encountered any issues with this software yet, and I haven't discovered any cons too. However, it appears to be most suitable for medium to small not-for-profit organizations.

I was impressed by how easily I learned and integrated the software into our business. I started from scratch, setting up general ledger numbering, accounts, payables, invoicing and receivables, as well as designing the desired layout for financial statements. Everything fell into place flawlessly, and I didn't need to rely on customer service.
Cons
Sometimes, the pre-programmed reports didn't include all the information I wanted to print. Nonetheless, I was always able to locate the necessary information, although at times I had to print additional details along with it.

The software itself is remarkably user-friendly, with a wide range of reporting options, including customizable reports and exports to Excel. It's easy to locate information, and report queues allow you to run multiple reports simultaneously.
Cons
When managing multiple departments, programs and funding sources, it's important to be aware of the specific date ranges required for each in order for the reports to display accurately. The budgeting module lacks flexibility and can be challenging to navigate.

The system is user-friendly and looks familiar. It perfectly suits our needs for separate accounting of programs. Each member of the fiscal staff can easily adjust tables and reports according to their requirements.
Cons
Customizing reports is a labor-intensive and time-consuming process. Additionally, setting up individual budgets can be difficult since the budget setup is at a global level. Furthermore, we were informed when we initially got the software that ACH payment for accounts payable would be available soon, but it has been two years, and they are still "working on it."

Fund EZ software is easy to use and offers great features. The phone support is excellent, and regular updates are provided. The price is also reasonable and offers multiple options for generating reports, which have prolonged consistently with the updates.
Cons
The customer support is excellent, but the built-in help resources are limited. The cost is competitive, although not cheap. Having used it for several years, I've noticed that some improvements, while helpful, could be even better if there was more willingness to modify the basic structure. However, this is a common characteristic of all software over time.

The most significant asset to me is to have the option to drill down within a report and access underlying details. Client invoicing is also simplified.
Cons
It would be extremely beneficial and helpful if I could see the accompanying check number on the AP Invoice Detail record within a GL Acct Detail report drilldown. This would allow me to determine at a glance whether or not the item has been paid, without having to access another report separately.

The software offers multiple levels of reporting. I can generate reports based on general ledger numbers, grants, programs, departments and more. The reports come out beautifully, eliminating the need for exporting and tweaking. They truly reflect the financial statements of a non-profit organization.
Cons
The customer service is excellent, although it's worth noting that they operate on Eastern Standard Time (EST). For agencies located in Central Standard Time (CST), Mountain Standard Time (MST), or Pacific Standard Time (PST), it can be frustrating when you can't reach customer service after 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm. However, they are responsive and will address your inquiries the following morning.

We implemented this software ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed using it. The best part was its ease of use as it significantly reducing training time compared to our previous software. This saved us valuable time and money. I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, within our first six months, we were forced to switch away from this software because the larger organization adopted a different software solution.

The latest software upgrade brings almost as much functionality as MIP/Abila, but with a much more intuitive user interface. Users can easily create their own report formats. The Pro-writer feature allows organizations to fully customize their account structure.
Cons
Despite having robust multi-currency functionality, it does not yet offer a Spanish language version.

The product provides me the freedom to fully customize my chart of accounts and reports. They have an advanced report module that allows for even more customization. The vendor is highly responsive and constantly supports and improves the product through new revisions and updated versions.
Cons
The transition from version 9 to 10 brought about significant improvements, but the software structure shifted to an SQL-based system. As someone accustomed to entering data and scrolling with a mouse, I've encountered a few issues. For instance, when working on a journal entry and attempting to scroll down using the mouse, if I happen to be on a debit or credit field, it scrolls through the numbers instead of moving the screen. I had to adapt to using the side arrows, which, even after two years, we still struggle with. While this shouldn't deter consideration, it's something you should be aware of.

Fund E-Z offers an account structure that allows me to enter transactions based on funds (unrestricted, temporarily restricted, or permanently restricted revenue) and account numbers (such as cash, accounts payable, individual donations, salary expense, etc.). Additionally, I can drill down by cost center 1 (programs), cost center 2 (activity within a program), and cost center 3 (funder), or variations of this setup.
Cons
With the update to version 10 of Fund E-Z, several keystrokes that were previously applicable no longer work, resulting in more time-consuming data entry. Additionally, updating to subsequent versions is not a simple process.

Fund E-Z offers an account structure that allows me to enter transactions based on funds (unrestricted, temporarily restricted, or permanently restricted revenue) and account numbers (such as cash, accounts payable, individual donations, salary expense, etc.). Additionally, I can drill down by cost center 1 (programs), cost center 2 (activity within a program), and cost center 3 (funder), or variations of this setup.
Cons
With the update to version 10 of Fund E-Z, several keystrokes that were previously applicable no longer work, resulting in more time-consuming data entry. Additionally, updating to subsequent versions is not a simple process.

Pros
We are delighted by the fact that a lot of options are available to filter different data and have the ability to export in various formats. The technical support has been helpful thus far in answering any questions we've had.
Cons
It would be fantastic to have more filter options and fields available for inclusion in reports. Additionally, the ability to compare budget versus actuals each quarter with reprojections would be highly beneficial.
