“Brilliant concept, easy to extend

Pros

Odoo feels like an inspired software idea as it is brilliant in concept and it pulls together a wide assortment of both built-in and third-party applications and utilities that I use to run my business, website, online store and related operations. I also find it easy to navigate and I actually enjoy adding extra modules to extend its capabilities.

Cons

I think it demands a fair amount of contextual knowledge for you to appreciate its real strengths which could put off some potential users additionally, its reliance on a continuous, powerful internet connection may not be practical or available for everyone at all times.

The software is very user-friendly and I think anyone could get the hang of it.

For me the inventory module in Odoo wasn't nearly as helpful as I expected it could have been.

It is excellent because it delivers an all-in-one platform with easy customization and the ability to scale making it user-friendly and effective for businesses of every size.

In my experience, Odoo could use more tools and support tailored specifically to brand-new small businesses.

Odoo performs reliably as both the software itself and its visual presentation work well together.

We haven't been impressed with their customer support there's been a noticeable lack of proactive updates about timelines which has left us repeatedly chasing them for information. On top of that, the delivery schedule for product development milestones hasn't matched what we were told to expect which is frustrating.

One thing i love is that I can customize the system to my needs and that it includes a broad variety of applications within the platform.

For me I find the multi-language and multi-currency support to be insufficient.

All the different apps interact inside a single application which is amazing.

Sometimes the logic is hard to follow and the flow can be confusing. For example, when I paid for my subscription I couldn't remove specific options myself to match the plan I chose so I ended up needing to link my subscription to my database manually. I think there must be a simpler way to handle this process.

Pros

The tool delivers about a 90% solution for nearly all administrative automation needs and it's priced very reasonably.

Cons

In my experience the interface feels cluttered and confusing. That last 10% of automation is by far the hardest and most tedious to implement. There's a fairly steep learning curve and I often find that the terms used in the online documentation don't line up with the labels I see inside Odoo not sure which version.

“Far surpasses sap and oracle

Pros

Having worked in the IT industry for over forty years, I have managed and deployed systems like SAP and Oracle among others and I find Odoo far surpasses them by a wide margin in simplicity and ease of deployment and integration. Right now I am using Odoo for online education and so far it's doing an excellent job. I genuinely appreciate how well it's performing for our needs. Thank you

I find their support videos a bit outdated at the moment. With all the new features introduced in Release 18, I think it's about time they refreshed those tutorials and walkthroughs so they match the current functionality.

In my first experience with this platform, I have found Odoo's suite of applications to be truly comprehensive and well integrated so far. It's obvious the Odoo team has invested considerable time and effort into building this complete, all-in-one business solution.

Cons

Setting up multiple modules and tailoring them to the specifics of my business can feel somewhat overwhelming at times and a bit confusing to navigate. Even though there is a wealth of documentation for each app, I think certain subjects could be expanded with clearer examples and explained more comprehensively for practical use.

The service is very professional and reliably accurate, with no hidden fees. I mean everything is under my control.

For me it's a bit overwhelming because there are so many different options to coordinate.

I really appreciated the support I received via Meet Richard Swartz attended to me excellently and resolved my problem.

Overall things were fine at first I found configuring my domain complicated but with the support everything got resolved for me.

Overall I am amazed at how I can combine so many different processes within a single tool and I also appreciate how easy it is to configure.

One drawback I have noticed is that certain features, such as VoIP, aren't offered in my country yet and electronic payroll support is also missing I really hope these get included in upcoming releases. It would also be helpful to have a native API connection to Facebook so I could bring leads directly into Odoo.

It is really user-friendly. As the interface is very visual and I can quickly locate the modules I need.

For now, I don't have any complaints I have got everything I need from it.

The platform is cloud-based, simple to reach and easy to use. Plus there are a lot of apps available.

Honestly for me the pricing is a downside. They get you by charging per user.

The support team is very good, the configurability largely excellent and I appreciate the wide range of features and the strong modularity.

For me the licensing cost on odoo.sh is quite high and a bit of a drawback.

What I really like about it is how it brings together every tool a company could need whether I am running a small shop, a mid-sized outfit or a large corporation into a single, cohesive system. Lots of platforms promise this kind of consolidation but in my experience it actually delivers more effectively than most. To me it genuinely feels like everything is housed in one place.

Cons

My only complaint is that many payment providers aren't supported in every country so the online store doesn't offer those payment options everywhere.

Personally I find Odoo really user friendly and easy to use. Also its technical support team is fantastic and sticks with you until we reach a solution.

I am frustrated that I cannot contact an expert directly and have to go through the assistance module every time.

For me what I really appreciate is that every part of the business is integrated and it's running perfectly without any issues.

I have discovered the online editions don't offer direct integration with the eBay platform while a link seems to exist, it doesn't work at all and that's a major problem for me since we have to rely on several third-party applications to keep things running.
