“Outstanding reliable help whenever needed

Pros

When needed I have received outstanding help from Odoo's support team. Overall their service has been genuinely excellent and very reliable.

Cons

Too often their replies end up in my spam folder so I miss important answers and have to dig them out.

“community edition powers consistent business processes

Pros

The Community Edition has most of the features we need and helps keep our team's processes consistent. Since we use it ourselves, I can also offer setup help to other small businesses as an extra service. Plus many business tools are already built in so usually we just turn on a module and adjust a few settings. The e-commerce module is also the easiest I have used as almost anyone on our team can create products because it's designed for non-technical users. There is an active community that often helps when issues come up. Sometimes we pay a partner for support or custom features but those are usually one-time costs. But for what you get, I do not worry about expensive license renewals.

Cons

From what I have seen some basic features that competitors include simply aren't present, even in the cloud edition. I often have to try out third-party apps myself which is time-consuming and can sometimes break features that already work. The forums don't always solve less common problems. there are numerous threads left open from older releases. Also I find the official documentation can be pretty thin at times so you cannot always rely on it for clear guidance.

It is customizable to our needs and is really helpful for small and medium-sized businesses like ours.

Cons

Initially I found it somewhat overwhelming to navigate but after spending time experimenting with the system, I now find it very user friendly and easy to use.

Getting to hidden web sections isn't easy for me yet their support has been incredibly efficient and helpful

The support team is responsive and operates within a reasonable timeframe. I almost always get a fix for my minor issues.

I think it's a pity that invoices can display unit prices including VAT while the line total calculated as unit price multiplied by quantity shows the total excluding VAT. I really hope Odoo improves how this is handled.

It is way too simple to navigate, easy to grasp and it didn't take me long to get comfortable using it.

Cons

There are so many pages and I find that the customization requirements especially for certain business processes can be extensive and quite time-consuming.

I like how user-friendly it is and how efficient the interface feels. I also value its modular design and the way different apps work together smoothly.

For me it's too inflexible when it comes to country-specific processes which makes adapting to local workflows a real headache.

The employees are very professional, accessible and friendly which I really appreciate.

I sometimes feel quite constrained by their standardized technology. for example, I find it impossible to fully customize the content and formatting of the automatic emails that are sent to clients.

The main drawback is the absence of tailored user licenses for specific use cases which limits flexibility.

I noticed that customer support team always respond quickly. Also the issue got resolved instantly and we learned how to manage these problems.

We experienced frequent turnover of our account manager. the person who left stopped responding entirely and the replacement was only just beginning to take over their duties so there was an extended period of time where we had no one answering or guiding us in this vital customer-facing role.

Pros

One thing I love is that everything is consolidated from website to e-commerce, CRM, accounting and more all in one place. And it is easy to use and adapt. Plus it's very flexible to configure across different companies.

Cons

In my experience they should put more effort into localized accounting features for Bulgaria since I have run into problems with VAT filings and I cannot rely on automatic bank transfers because the system only supports SEPA transfers.

Well I received a YouTube video from them that clearly showed me step by step how to resolve the problem and that is something I really like.

Cons

The clip itself was just a touch too fast in the way the rep handled it so I had to rewind many times and kept losing my place.

It is very user-friendly and I can quickly check material status without any hassle.

In my experience I haven't found a way to add non-scaled items to a BOM, like a single filter that needs to be included once per batch. the system seems focused on scalable quantities only so I end up manually tracking that one-off component.

The software is user friendly and transparent, making it very easy for me to keep track of everything.

That said every so often some items vanish from the lists and I have to refresh or update the system before I can see everything again.

From my experience it's really built for independent users who already know website design and other technical stuff.

To be honest I really value the flexibility, the studio tools, the price to features balance and how the platform's capabilities keep expanding on a constant basis.

For me I find some integrations, like WhatsApp, unnecessarily difficult. that could be eased if there were more up-to-date tutorial videos shown when an error occurs.

The time to migrate to Odoo. Because it is a system that includes many features, you cannot expect to migrate and master it in a few weeks. Fortunately I recover that time thanks to its speed.

Honestly I found it incredibly easy to use, very efficient and surprisingly budget-friendly. It lets me customize things properly and makes tracking leads and opportunities a simple task. Overall this really is everything I have been searching for and if you try it you'll see for yourself.
