“It has greatly improved workflow.”
Pros
I've been using Serenic for quite some time and have found it to be a fantastic tool for managing and delivering financial and grant information. The straightforward data entry and various options for extracting information have definitely made my job easier.
Cons
I've always felt the lack of a graphical interface, with some functions being added later on, and the client service not being as proactive as it should be. Field Connect comes after specific requirements are set, rather than addressing the initial market gap.

“Serenic navigator assessment”
Pros
The design of the features, the smart integration, the logical connections between functionalities, the consistency of ledger entry reports, the flexibility in report customization, and the linking of award, subaward, PO, PPI, and payment journals are all impressive.
Cons
Jet Reports, which was associated with Serenic for generating reports like trial balances and creditor balances, didn't meet our expectations. As a result, we switched to Power BI after five years.

“Government Education”
Pros
I appreciated that it was free. The provision of all necessary resources for the year was great. I also liked the interactive classroom feature and the instant feedback on assignments to see how well I did on a lesson.
Cons
I didn't like the government-led education due to its bias. The overwhelming amount of work was also a downside. No public education child has that much daily work.

“The software has limited features”
Pros
Only the Navigator tool seems effective when using this software.
Cons
The data analysis tools are quite limited, which isn't enough for optimizing the HR department. It's not effective for onboarding services, and the app also tends to freeze when multiple users are logged in.

“Decent HR Payroll system”
Pros
The ability to tailor fields, generate meaningful reports, perform quick searches for employee data, and build, schedule, and run interfaces with other HR applications is very valuable.
Cons
Launching the navigator, distributing the server to balance the load, and finding data from backend sources with multiple similar tables has been challenging.

“Serenic is a highly functional fund accounting package great Microsoft Excel interface.”
Pros
Doing fund accounting in QuickBooks or other non-specialized software is a lot of effort. Serenic simplifies the process and adds extra "dimensions" for tagging transactions for various purposes. I love how easily I can create spreadsheets with any fields I need.
Cons
There isn't really any direct customer support from the company. Instead, a consulting firm is assigned to you for support, and you don't get to choose or vet them yourself.

“Diocese of Fargo - Serenic Review”
Pros
We chose Serenic Software in 2006 because it handled standard GL activities, as well as Deposit & Loan Fund transactions, and allowed for foundation fund tracking. We wanted to invest our time and resources in just one application, and we've been very satisfied with how Serenic meets our needs.
Cons
The product is moving to the web, if it isn't there already exclusively. I prefer my older version that's on my own network.

“Archdiocese of San Francisco”
Pros
The functionality of all the modules we use, except the D&L module, is great. Exporting to Excel is very useful, though it always requires some formatting.
Cons
The Deposit and Loan module is very difficult to use effectively, and the A/R module could be more user-friendly.

“Navigator2013”
Pros
We are currently on the Azure server, which is quite slow. Our plan is to bring it back in-house to our own server.
Cons
It was tough to meet the annual minimum requirements on time. It consumed a lot of daily time, and there was no way to skim through a lesson.

“Satisfied user”
Pros
Our company needs a highly dynamic and robust GL system for our unique needs. Serenic Navigator fits the bill perfectly, and we're very happy with it. The GL dimensions offer great flexibility for capturing not just financial data but also statistical information. When we encounter issues, Serenic Tech support always provides quick solutions.

“Serenic Navigator is the best”
Pros
IAVI implemented the Awardvision grants management tool as an integral part of our financial processes. 2. Thanks to Serenic Navigator's powerful reporting tools like Jet Reports and Cube, grant managers can now generate reports directly from the accounting software, and budget managers can see actuals vs. budgets in real time. 3. IAVI now produces quarterly consolidated financial statements effortlessly through the Cube. 4. The Navigator workflow management and basic validation rules help streamline expense authorization and allocation to Fund/Award and Project. 5. The drill-down feature makes navigating accounting transactions easy and provides a solid audit trail. 6. IAVI uses Attributes extensively to aggregate expenses according to management needs. -IAVI has cut the time to produce quarterly financial statements by half. -We've nearly eliminated miscoding and the need to reclassify expenses. -Time required to upload allocated payroll into the financial system has decreased from 4 weeks to 2. -Uploading corporate credit card expenses post-approval is now zero. -Real-time balances on all authorized POS are available without relying on external systems (ContractCentral). -We've received prompt and attentive customer support for all issues.
Cons
The Revenue Recognition module might be too complex.
