“Excellent fraud protection system
Pros
Tipalti's fraud detection is excellent at flagging suspicious activity. We've been able to catch fraudulent cases before any payments went through. The value of payments that were initiated but then held because Tipalti flagged them has really helped reduce some of the expenses we face using the platform. I can also identify when a payee creates multiple accounts which has let us trace a chain of fraudulent payees before disbursing funds across all of their accounts and stop further losses.
Cons
On the downside, I'd love to see payee status Payable or Unpayable visible right in the Bills list since we select payees by choosing bills rather than uploading a single payable file. Too often I only discover that some payments were unpayable after the payment runs. Because of that, I have added an extra step in our workflow to check payees and their status especially if they were previously unpayable to see whether they have become payable now.

I really appreciate the customer support, we receive replies to our questions pretty quickly and the interface is simple and easy to use.
Cons
I don't really have many complaints, the platform is simple enough for everyone involved to operate and our partners have shared favorable comments about how it works for them.

Pros
I find Tipalti doesn't have a steep learning curve and it's pretty easy to pick up. The layout shows the key details clearly making daily tasks easy to manage. On top of that, their support team replies quickly and usually sorts out issues dependably.
Cons
Tipalti's search could be improved since it relies on obscure ID numbers to find records which feels clunky. I also run into occasional odd system login glitches although their customer support tends to fix those fairly fast.

“Good payment features overall
Pros
I appreciate the flexible payment options, the TIN validation feature and the international coverage.
Cons
Sometimes when a supplier submits their TIN before Tipalti has pulled the validation data, it's hard to trigger the same validation again. That prevents us from running a second validation attempt. I'd like the ability to rerun their validation automatically rather than relying on manual steps. Besides that, I would love if it connected with our internal system/database.

Pros
I find handling large batches of payments absolutely effortless and the Detect tool has helped me spot fraud early on.
Cons
I'd like more flexibility because the reports come only in fixed layouts, it would be far more useful if I could tailor them to my specific needs.

Ttipalti is a huge help with all our business money-related matters. Payment is made so easy and completely hassle-free.
Cons
I think the biggest issue is the lack of immediate images, so users are unable to generate their own check image to examine.

Accepting payments is really easy and I have noticed it tends to be more cost-effective than any pay-by-phone apps I have used.
Cons

“Great for global contractor payments
Pros
I have been using Tipalti for the past three months and find it really simple to use. Managing payments has become much easier and I have been able to pay hundreds of new contractors spread across different parts of the globe, giving them the option to pick from several payment methods at a fair cost. What I particularly like is that contractors can set up their own accounts by entering their personal, tax and bank details and I can tweak the app so they get updates about their payment status. The invoicing functionality stands out for me and has simplified our workflow significantly. On top of that, customer support has been very responsive and helpful.
Cons
One issue I have encountered is that a few contractors had to try several times before they could sign in and complete their initial registration on the platform, additionally, the system doesn't stop them from submitting the same invoice multiple times. I would really appreciate a bulk contractor creation feature to onboard people faster, in the meantime customer support has been assisting me with that process.

I felt really reassured knowing Tipalti fully backs their product, literally going the extra mile to make sure our rollout went off without a hitch. When we overhauled such a vital business function because cash really is king, it was hugely reassuring to have a dedicated team focused on making the transition successful for us.
Cons
We did hit a few bumps during implementation, mostly because our reporting set-up was fairly complex and entity-level reporting had its quirks. Fortunately, those frustrations were largely resolved thanks to Tipalti's implementation and onboarding staff. I honestly cannot overstate how much their many calls and emails helped us through the rough patches.

“Fast support and easy bookkeeping
Pros
When I have payment-related questions, I turn to the Support team and usually get a near-instant reply from a customer service representative. They've taken care of every issue I have run into. I am also a big fan of the clean, simple user interface. The detailed reports are simple to export and I upload them directly into my accounting software for seamless bookkeeping and reconciliations.
Cons
I'd like the ability to combine multiple payments sent to the same payee so they arrive as a single deposit on their end, while still receiving a breakdown of those payments. For example, if I send Thomas_9 five separate $200 transfers, they'd get $1,000 in their bank but also receive an email showing the individual amounts and details.

Pros
We're about to have Tipalti manage our Accounts Payable system and we couldn't be more excited to have been chosen by them! They take care of everything from tax paperwork to disbursing payments in over 120 currencies across 190 countries. The best part is it only takes a single line of code to plug them into our system. Absolutely thrilled!
Cons
I am completely without any complaints about this company's excellence and their focus on what really matters for businesses like mine. I am so thankful we don't need to develop this system on our own! Their rates are excellent too.

We love that it integrates well into our current system. Great scalability, it scales up extremely well to our 500+ employees. An extremely easy to use software that has helped improve our productivity & communication.
Cons
Once in a while, we experience delays in processing tax forms but because this is used so rarely, it often is not a problem. Thankfully, deployment and operation go through swiftly.

Pros
We have been using this product for a few months and our experience has been thoroughly wonderful. I love the TIN validation and being able to have our Payees go through Tipalti for everything. Having Tipalti has reduced emails with payment status as all the info can be found via Tipalti. Payments are processed quickly and it had made it simpler and quicker than having to manually cut checks.
Cons
We are still learning the workings of the software. Some users are still having a hard time comprehending the required info to create an account. I would like to see it be more user-friendly.

Being new to Tipalti, we anticipated needing lots of help from their tech team and that's exactly what happened. Whenever we ran into questions we reached out to customer support and they replied promptly by email and occasionally followed up with a phone call. The quick, helpful responses really made a difference and we appreciated it a lot.

I found the single best thing to be how user-friendly the software is. Once we began entering our payees, day by day it became simpler and more natural to use. Because we were new to this category of tools, I reached out to customer service quite a few times and each time they got back to us promptly by email or phone to resolve any problems or answer questions we had. That quick follow-up was a huge advantage for us since we didn't want to be left confused and guessing. As I continued to explore the platform more deeply, it became clear how easy it was to configure and adapt to our workflows and that flexibility turned out to be another very important plus for our team.
Cons
We don't have any real complaints at the moment. As we plunged further into the software, we managed to uncover the answers we needed and with Tipalti's excellent support anything that did come up was handled quickly, we would just send an email to the support team and they responded right away by email or phone. That level of responsiveness was much appreciated and so far we haven't encountered any outstanding problems or issues.

Pros
The system is very easy to learn even for non-accountant users. Easy to onboard new vendors/suppliers. Easy to pay selected invoices in batches.
Cons
I wish the system synced with our ERP software. Doesnt allow for multiple payment setups for the same customer yet. It also doesnt automate 1099s yet.
