“Professional data arrangement is good”
Pros
What impressed me was how neatly the content and employee data were arranged as it felt very professional. I am convinced it's among the most widely used systems worldwide. I have seen it deployed in both mid-sized organizations and massive companies with thousands of employees.
Cons
Sometimes I find the volume of information overwhelming and moving through so much text makes navigation a bit hard.

“Effective but requires training”
Pros
It is a great tool for HR because it consistently gets the job done effectively.
Cons
the system isn't very user-friendly and the UI/UX could use a lot of improvement. It's also extremely expensive to roll out, often needing third-party consultants and you cannot really teach yourself so formal trainings are necessary.

“Buggy software and seems decades old”
Pros
Workday handles most tasks pretty well and I like the clean, easy to navigate design.
Cons
This software feels buggy and way too complicated. When I run a process, I have to wait and get a notice later that it's done which does not make sense to me. It is like they put a nice-looking cover on software from the 1990s. When I am filling out timesheets, if I change the task or project, the form clears everything and I have to start over which is really frustrating when I am working on multiple projects. There is also no easy way to send feedback to them. I get the feeling they do not really care about the daily experience of people like me. It seems like they are more focused on impressing business leaders than helping actual users. All of that makes the product feel disappointing.

“customizable tool with strong security”
Pros
It is easy to use. Also everything is clear and simple for employees. As an admin, I found the setup easy and the platform highly customizable. I especially like that security is strong as you can control visibility down to individual fields. There is also plenty of online help, training and an active community forum.
Cons
Frankly, I am not a fan of how their support is set up. They don't offer on-demand help but instead users must open a ticket whenever they need assistance. For a company of this size, that feels odd to me as I would have expected quicker options, like an instant chat or chatbot-style support.

“Top platform with limitless features”
Pros
Workday as occupying a very prominent position in the HRIS landscape. many consider it among the top HCM platforms available. Its feature set feels virtually limitless and mastering it brings a deep and useful body of knowledge. For me having the chance to learn and operate such a sophisticated and valuable system has been excellent in my HR career and I believe the breadth of its functionality is essential to how organizations manage HR processes.
Cons
From our standpoint at a mid-sized company, even though Workday is frequently hailed as the 'Gold Standard' among HRIS and HCM platforms, it's far from perfect. The system is highly complicated and demands a significant amount of expertise from every user. It also comes with a steep price tag and implementation is no small feat yet it can deliver substantial benefits when adopted by an organization that fits its scale and needs. Personally, I feel many of the system's intricacies are overkill for our size though we still have to understand them well enough to operate the platform effectively.

“Highly flexible”
Pros
The software is highly flexible. It supports complex business workflows, detailed reporting, dynamic security and custom fields. I integrate it with all of our other systems and have multiple sandbox testing tenants.
Cons
For someone wanting an out-of-the-box product, Workday won't fit. In my experience it takes a considerable amount of work and time to implement the different tenants and customize each instance to properly meet my needs.

“All employee details are kept together”
Pros
It keeps all the important details about an employee's current status in one place, from compensation and updated contact information to the yearly check-ins I have with my manager.
Cons
I don't really have strong dislikes but my main suggestion would be that Workday should refine parts of the interface used for submitting or updating information in the portal because occasionally I find it quite confusing.

“Does everything poorly”
Pros
Honestly there's nothing positive to say about my experience using Workday. the best day on the job for me is when I never have to log into Workday.
Cons
It feels like this software tries to do a little of everything but does it all poorly. Also it is messy and badly coded as every change refreshes the whole page which makes simple tasks feel unbearable. Please do not put your staff through this.

“User-friendly with a unified security model”
Pros
For me Workday HCM is a very user-friendly human resources management platform and I appreciate that its support features are kept up to date. I also like that it uses a unified security model and consistent user experience and that it covers onboarding, offboarding, compensation, reporting, analytics and more.
Cons
I find the daily check-in and check-out flow unnecessarily complicated and I have run into problems when trying to punch out. Also because there are so many features and options packed in, I often feel overwhelmed and confused when navigating the system.

“all in one tool”
Pros
Well I am familiar with it and I'd say it is easy to learn. It is like an upgraded, all-in-one version of the self-service tools we already use bringing together training, career growth, hiring, time off, pay, benefits and more. I especially like the mobile app as it lets me handle tasks on the go. Since it builds on what I already knew, learning and using Workday HCM has been a great experience.
Cons
One thing I noticed is that it has a lot of features that many people never use. Also the interface looks the same for everyone even though not everyone needs all the tools. I am also annoyed that I can see my pay rate and team structure in HCM but actual payroll and paystubs are in a separate system like ADP so checking my pay takes an extra step.

“Easy use with multiple integrations”
Pros
I really appreciate how easy the tool is to use and the multiple integrations we implemented with platforms like Microsoft Teams.
Cons
For me the pricing feels higher than necessary and could be reduced when compared with market rivals such as SAP oracle and Zoho.

“Simple clocking paystubs tax documents”
Pros
Workday is really easy for clocking in and out, submitting time-off requests and pulling up pay stubs and tax documents whenever I need them.
Cons
What bothers me is that if I miss punching in or out during the day, I am forced to wait until the end of my shift to correct the time which is inconvenient. For example, when I realize I forgot to clock back in after lunch, I wish the system would let me edit the punch right away instead of making me wait until I clock out for the whole day to make that manual change.

“Easy navigation between time sections”
Pros
It is really easy to move between the different time-management sections. Also I can pull a high-level snapshot or dig into details like time per week, vacation balances, weekly time displays and even down to specifics such as remaining hours and break durations, etc.
Cons
The daily check-in/out layout is pretty confusing and difficult to scan. When I take several breaks in a single day, it's challenging to quickly spot those periods on the calendar. Also I cannot view my ongoing work time as the app only shows the time since my last check-in.

“Engaging interface streamlines internal hiring”
Pros
As adaptability is a challenge for many companies, I really like how Workday makes things simpler as its portal is easyto use. From my experience coming from MIS that my company used before, I found the interface to be more engaging. I also notice it links well with a wide range of external applications and it noticeably streamlines our internal hiring workflows.
Cons
Because the system displays so many icons and menu choices, I sometimes struggle to locate a specific document or screen. It would really help if there were a more powerful or advanced search feature to cut through the clutter and make finding things quicker and less frustrating.

“simplifies everything for us”
Pros
Being able to handle things on my own is something I really appreciate and Workday lets me do that so I don't have to depend on someone else to locate what I need. I particularly like checking my tax details and viewing past pay stubs whenever I want.
Cons
I cannot get the app to save my passwords for some reason so I am forced to log in and authenticate each time. I'd really like it to recognize my device so signing in would be much quicker and less of a hassle.

“Time-saving solution”
Pros
Workday is great for handling daily activities and automating much of the work an admin or HR department usually does. What I used to do manually, like verifying the time and dates of individual employees using tens of timecards, can now be done very easily using the schedule review feature of Workday. Some things that take time to generate or load can be set to notify us when they are complete, like tax forms and pay stubs. It works very smoothly, and I have no complaints with its stability.
Cons
Changing time card information is not that easy with Workday. A lot needs to be done before I can finalize the timecard. For example, if someone missed punching their exit time, the timecard would not allow you to change it unless theres an entry. That necessitates approaching the HR department or the employee to obtain an accurate time, which I manually enter in the card before proceeding with the changes. This is a hurdle in the schedule I run every day since night shift staff mostly forget to clock out due to fatigue and tiredness, which means I have to repeat the process every day.
