“Clean dashboard guides step by step”
Pros
I really like that it's so easy to use above all else. There isn't a lot of clutter that would throw me off. So when I log in I can quickly find where I need to be. The dashboard shows clear menu options that walk me through what I need to do step by step.
Cons
I'd like the option to fill in the entire month's timesheet with a single click when the fields and attendance are the same as the previous period. it's really convenient that there's already a week view for this.

“Easy access to personal records”
Pros
The thing I like is that I can easily access my personal records and explore the organization's structure whenever I need to which makes managing my information pretty easy.
Cons
That said, I find that getting the tool to align with how our company actually operates requires fairly complex configuration such as things like special approval flows, changes to reporting lines, country-specific indexing and other detailed settings.

“Workflows are easy to customize and manage”
Pros
I have notice that the workflows I build in Workday are easy to customize and simple to manage.
Cons
For me the UI's responsiveness and the animations feel sluggish and could use some improvement.

“love its mobile functionality”
Pros
Being able to tailor Workday HCM so it aligns with our company's specific requirements is pretty easy. And I like having full HCM functionality available right from the mobile app.
Cons
Sometimes the customization options bother me. I need to rigorously document every change and stay mindful of how those tweaks might impact other parts of the system.

“Least favorite tool of mine”
Pros
Workday's interface is simple and it's very easy to learn quickly.
Cons
I have been recruiting for almost ten years and it is by far my least favorite ATS. Plus it locks you into a complex workflow that makes everything inefficient. Things that used to take 15 minutes like reviewing candidates, assigning tasks or posting jobs now take hours. Also there are almost no batch actions so I have to do things one by one instead of in bulk. The recruiting tools feel like an afterthought, not something built with real recruiter input. Overall it has added at least ten hours of extra admin work each week, the time I used to spend actually recruiting.

“Schedule an audit with download notifications”
Pros
Workday recently introduced a schedule review feature that lets me produce a schedule audit instead of having to manually verify each associate's timecard dates one by one. I also appreciate that when I download pay stubs or tax documents, I can choose to receive a notification when they're ready rather than sitting on the same page waiting for the download to finish.
Cons
When I am running schedules and correcting timecards, for example, when someone forgets to clock out on an overnight shift the system doesn't repopulate who the provider was so I end up having to either look it up in Humanity or contact the employee directly to confirm who they worked with. It's a relatively small glitch but it can become quite time-consuming.

“All HR data is consolidated”
Pros
In my experience Workday brings a lot of HR data together in a single spot. Even though my company still uses several different tools to manage human resources, I really like having all of the details consolidated in one place that's easily and widely accessible.
Cons
I found the biggest downside when rolling out Workday was its lack of compatibility with our other systems which forced us to move data by hand. As a result, moving to it fully has been delayed even more than anticipated. Still, I consider this a relatively minor problem that we've since fixed.

“Unified platform that drives smarter decisions”
Pros
Now we have one unified platform that everyone across retail, corporate and manufacturing can use to access their personal information, performance records, job history, benefits, compensation, recruiting data and much more. For me it's the technology that lets us really dig into our workforce composition, produce useful analytics and make smarter, data-driven business decisions overall.
Cons
I find logging in multiple times a day frustrating when the multi-factor authentication is clunky. the sign-in routine becomes a real nuisance. If I could leave a device authenticated for longer stretches, the platform would feel much smoother and perform better for daily use.

“well organized and load quickly”
Pros
The interface is really simple to get around and keep organized. I appreciate that the icons clearly represent their functions and the layout is highly visual overall. Pages load quickly and I haven't run into any glitches at all.
Cons
There are so many settings that it can be hard to find what you are looking for. I also cannot figure out how to clear the notification badge which is annoying and makes daily use less convenient.

“way too confusing layout”
Pros
I can manage basic things like requesting time off without contacting HR. That's such a low standard and honestly I wish we'd switch back to a far more user-friendly HRIS.
Cons
As an employee, I find it nearly impossible to use. Every section looks like it was made by a different company such as the visuals don't match, labels are inconsistent and the layout changes every time I click. I cannot even figure out how to get from the homepage to a proper login screen. Plus simple things like finding my start date force me to dig through confusing menus and useless options, like an empty Favorites page. I also see odd things, like a full list of terminated employees. And using the browser's back button often breaks the whole app which is incredibly frustrating.

“Global platform with mobile functionality”
Pros
This was the first global HCM system we rolled out for employees across the globe. It supports the languages we require, feels user friendly, is simple to navigate and has the best mobile functionality.
Cons
At times I find it hard to make adjustments or customizations because requests typically originate from Workday's side, go through analysis and prioritization and only after that are they deployed to the live environment for all users.

“no training needed to use it”
Pros
One thing I like about Workday is that it is very user-friendly, the directions are clear and I am able to complete entries without any formal training. It has the feel of a business social network which I love!
Cons
What I found most frustrating about using Workday was its lack of compatibility with other platforms which forced us to migrate data manually. This manual transfer slowed down achieving full implementation. However in my experience it turned out to be a minor issue and was eventually resolved after coordinated effort across our IT team.

“simple dashboard for employees managers”
Pros
For our team the dashboard is really easy to use and I find it readily accessible for both employees and managers.
Cons
I sometimes encounter parts of the platform that prevent me from making specific changes on certain web pages so having full accessibility for all users would be much more helpful.

“great forms with strong reporting”
Pros
I appreciate how simple it is to get to and submit forms and other information, along with the platform's strong reporting and insight features. I am also a fan of the company-wide search for finding people and teams.
Cons
For now, nothing really bothers me. Searching by keywords can sometimes be tricky but once I have learned the system and where to look for specific terms, it becomes easy. This is especially true if I stick to consistent workflows.

Pros
The interface is clean and user friendly which makes my overall experience enjoyable. When I know what I am after, moving between sections or locating specific information is fairly easy and efficient to use
Cons

“Powerful but should have fewer clicks”
Pros
Workday is a powerful tool, capable of consolidating all our processes into a single platform. Extracting reports and pulling data is pretty simple and easy to navigate too. It also connects seamlessly with Greenhouse which is our ATS.
Cons
Well the interface is complex as it takes too many clicks to do simple things. Dropdowns don't auto-fill and when I search for something, I have to go into the All of Workday view to find it, even though that should be the default.
