we like it

Pros

Copying time entries from previous weeks is really convenient when you're following a set schedule.

Cons

After requesting paystubs or tax paperwork, it takes a while to actually receive them.

fast time submission

Pros

Navigation is pretty simple after you've used it a few times. It also auto-fills your work days so as long as your schedule doesn't change, submitting your time is quick. I really appreciate that payroll, vacation and everything else are handled in one place. Plus, it's convenient to access from either your work computer or your personal phone.

Cons

Even though I understand why it's needed, using the authenticator can feel a bit annoying. I'm not always clear whether the issue is coming from my phone settings or the app itself and there are times I have to restart my phone to get the app to open.

strong multitasking and applicant tracking

Pros

Applicant tracking works well and multitasking comes naturally. I also like how they compartmentalize tasks which helps keep things organized and there's a sense of originality throughout.

Cons

Communication feels a bit inconsistent across the board.

easy to use

Pros

It's really simple to use and the navigation feels adaptive from the start. Everything is laid out clearly so getting around the app doesn't take any effort.

Cons

No real downsides overall. The only minor hiccup is that, occasionally, entering certain information can feel a bit tricky.

so good

Pros

Having everyone's setup in a single place is really handy, I can keep an eye on what each team member is doing and monitor their actions without jumping between tools.

Cons

The only thing that can slow me down is finding specific items fast, like when I'm trying to pull up an individual's objectives quickly.

handy tool for all

Pros

Includes a drop-down menu that makes it simple to jump between the different sections of the app or website. That navigation setup helps me quickly get to whatever I'm trying to find without wasting time.

Cons

During a recent session, I ran into occasional downtime that was pretty inconvenient. It would be great if there were a clearer way to notify you when the system goes down so people can plan around it.

automations help alot

Pros

Having dedicated local experts has been a huge win...support feels thorough and designed to our needs instead of generic guidance. It also connects nicely with commonly used software platforms which makes day to day workflows feel a lot more manageable. The automated invoicing feature especially helps cut down on repetitive financial work, saving a noticeable amount of time and energy. Also, it's a solid fit for remote and globally distributed teams.

Cons

Has felt user friendly and pretty adaptive for both employees and managers. The one thing to plan for is that certain advanced capabilities, like onboarding automation, come with additional charges.

well-designed

Pros

Felt personalized for each job, yet the overall layout stayed consistent across assignments. That combo meant I could quickly adapt without relearning everything from scratch.

Cons

Occasionally I wouldn't get the password identification emails and I'm not fully sure whether the glitch came from my specific assignment or from it itself.

fast and accurate

Pros

It's pretty friendly and simple to use. If HR has enabled it, it can also connect you to other websites... basically acting like a quick shortcut to the other platforms your organization uses. The storage capacity and amount of information available per staff member inside it is massive. Also, checking my payroll in here is quick and convenient.

Cons

So I'm slightly uncomfortable with the fact that it can show the salary of people who report to you even though it does support that capability.

Updated interface works on phones

Pros

The interface is updated and simple to use and I can use it on my phone too

Cons

I still face the usual headache of sorting through hundreds of candidates when hiring. Workday improves the process somewhat but it's far from simple.

Poor UI lacks people analytics

Pros

Honestly I cannot find anything I like about Workday.

Cons

Using it is not fun with a really poor UI/UX and I constantly cannot locate even the simplest items. Nothing about the interface is user friendly so whether I am trying to view someone's employment history in a clean table, run a department-specific report or change a person's job title, the process always ends up being harder, messier and more confusing than it should be. To make matters worse, there are no built-in people analytics which blew my mind. I was genuinely surprised to discover that BambooHR, a solution aimed at small and mid-sized businesses, offers better native people analytics than Workday, of all systems. I really don't understand why anyone would pick Workday when so many superior alternatives exist. Using it has become the absolute worst part of my workday.

Worst part of my job daily

Pros

If I am being real I have not find anything I like about it at all

Cons

Well using it feels incredibly off as the UI and overall UX are terrible and I am constantly unable to locate even the simplest features. Whether I want to pull up someone's job history in a clean, tabular view, generate a report for a specific department or just change a person's job title, every task ends up being more difficult, messier and much more confusing than it should be. On top of that, there are no built-in people analytics which genuinely surprised me as I was floored to discover that BambooHR which targets small and medium businesses, actually offers better integrated people analytics than Workday, the supposed industry giant. I cannot wrap my head around why anyone would pick Workday when so many superior options exist. Using Workday is easily the worst part of my job.

love it!

Pros

Quite simple to navigate. The mobile support is a standout as well and it makes everyday HR tasks a lot more convenient... handling payroll, leave management, performance tracking and even organization charts all in one place.

Cons

From my point of view, there aren't any noticeable downsides, the features and overall design hold up well. The only thing to watch is the cost which could be a strain for smaller or mid-sized companies .

clean UI

Pros

The interface feels user friendly and stays nicely uncluttered so key info is easy to locate when you need it. It also makes it simple for employees to update their work profile without a ton of hassle.

Cons

Notification system feels a bit dated. Updating your resume manually is also pretty time-consuming, being able to upload a copy would be a lot more efficient.

best for us

Pros

UI feels really friendly and the reporting/analytics tools are genuinely powerful. I end up using it every day at work for attendance and other routine tasks and it's been solid for that. I've already recommended it to both managers and employees.

Cons

Occasionally, after an interface update, it takes a little time to get around and find things again. Also, the notification icon sometimes doesn't disappear even after the message has been read.

all-in-one hr platform

Pros

Keeping time tracking, vacation requests, performance reviews, learning content, employee records, payroll and other hr tasks in a single system turns it into a true one-stop setup for companies.

Cons

Permission and security access groups aren't always simple so it can be tough to figure out where a task or action is getting stuck. Also, the built in rules feel restrictive which makes updating or changing things harder than expected.

Simplifies tasks with outstanding support

Pros

As a member of the HR team, I rely on this for account management and absence administration and it really simplifies day to day administration tasks. We get a wide range of customizable settings and powerful integrations with many third-party applications. Their customer support both phone and online has been outstanding for us.

Cons

At the moment I don't have major complaints. Getting external technical help can be a little tricky. Apart from that, I don't really have any dislikes about Workday. One downside is that there's no free tier or trial version available.

awesome!

Pros

Employee management works really well especially with payslip tracking and the ability to schedule annual staff interviews. I also appreciate how the evaluation history is available in one click which makes it simple to review past performance without digging through files.

Cons

Only things that slowed me down were the long implementation time and the limited customization options. It also seemed like a few training requirements were missing so we had to handle those separately.

strong reporting side

Pros

Tool handles a huge set of HR needs in one platform... workforce management, talent management, compensation and benefits, time tracking, plus solid reporting and analytics.

Cons

The rollout for this tool can take quite a while and feels fairly involved, commonly spanning around 6 to 9 months.

Covers full employee lifecycle well

Pros

I have found its feature set covers the full employee lifecycle from hiring through retirement making it a very powerful HR suite. Recruiting, onboarding, performance tracking and training are all handled effectively. There's also smooth integration with other HR and finance tools which keeps information flowing cleanly and maintains accurate data across systems.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any complaints about Workday HCM.
