Effortless reviews with success metrics

Pros

Workday interface is really user friendly and simple to navigate. Also I find it effortless to run employee reviews and establish success metrics for myself.

Cons

Setting up an employee profile involves way too many steps which I find unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming.

feature-rich dashboard

Pros

One of the things I really enjoy about it is how feature rich the dashboard feels, plus the fact that it's an integrated platform. It covers a lot in one place-application management, job posting and broader workforce management, including payroll and leave tracking.

Cons

The initial learning curve could be simplified especially for non-technical people who aren't used to tools like this.

User-friendly with costly complex setup

Pros

The user interface is very user friendly which makes HR tasks easier and the extensive set of tools for core HR, talent management and recruitment helps streamline workflows and boosts overall organizational efficiency.

Cons

What concerns me is that implementing and configuring Workday HCM can be quite complex often demanding a substantial investment of time and resources. I have also found that the required licensing fees for Workday tend to be higher than those for several other HR software options.

Pros

I've been enjoying how smoothly the app lets me log in automatically and I can quickly search for an associate by either name or their ID number.

Cons

Only thing that bugs me is that it logs me out pretty quickly.

pretty accessible from anywhere

Pros

Workday offers a very user friendly user interface, powerful reporting and analytics tools and simplifies HR tasks such as recruiting, onboarding and performance management. Its cloud-based design lets me access it anywhere, thus promoting collaboration and efficiency.

Cons

From my experience it can be a bit complex and challenging to customize and occasionally I run into problems integrating it with other systems. Still, I find its broad feature set makes those drawbacks worth it.

User-friendly one stop HRM solution

Pros

It is user friendly and handles nearly every HRM area such as leave, performance, compensation and other HR matters, a one-stop solution

Cons

My sense is the site's look and feel could be improved. Stronger integration with HP intranet would be beneficial.

fabulous self-troubleshooting

Pros

UI looks fabulous and feels well designed and there's a truly multifunctional dashboard that covers a lot in one place. Navigation comes across as smooth and responsive and it also supports quick self troubleshooting which helps when you just want to identify issues fast.

Cons

It feels a bit heavy and integrating external software isn't as simple as I'd expect.

flexible hr recruiting

Pros

This software is really user friendly and simple to work with. It's flexible and has been an excellent HR resource for recruiting and managing large hiring pipelines. I've been using it for about two years and I'm genuinely happy with how it supports the whole process.

Cons

Occasionally, you have to spend extra time tracking down specific information. There are also a few challenges when submitting a day-absence request and when trying to view the ones you've already had approved.

mobile interface is pretty good

Pros

I find the app's interface to be just as smooth on my phone as it is on the web. It's given me better visibility into when my teammates are on leave. Plus I can manage leaves, expenses, payroll and more from a single place.

Cons

Honestly I don't really have major complaints. the platform feels very comprehensive for submitting internal requests, posting announcements, sharing suggestions and handling similar needs.

easy management

Pros

We run a non-profit and most of our funding comes from donations that only stay available when we keep our 501(c)(3) compliance in check. Because there are so many rules and payroll law updates happening every year, it's tough to expect our current staff to track everything on their own. Bringing on a payroll or compliance specialist with the right expertise would be far too expensive for our budget. It effectively fills that "new staff member" role for us, at a fraction of what hiring someone would cost so we can operate with a lot more confidence that all of our key needs are covered.

Cons

Getting started required a fairly involved initial implementation though after that setup was finished, there haven't been any complaints from our side about the time or effort required to use it.

quick report search, minor loading delay

Pros

I appreciated that it's simple to locate and pull up the reports.

Cons

Something I didn't like is that the reports don't always load instantly and there are moments when it takes a bit longer than expected.

Positive experience

Pros

Interface feels really polished and well designed. It has a premium, advanced look and it can run using less bandwidth which helps when connections aren't great. There's no downtime which makes it dependable for ongoing use.

Cons

Few features are overly complex and the way things are categorized can feel a bit heavy ane the pricing is quite expensive. Also, it doesn't feel very flexible when you need to make product-level changes.

convenient to use

Pros

It's packed with helpful details and once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple to use. Tracking candidates, posting jobs and building a candidate pool all work together smoothly so the whole recruiting process stays organized.

Cons

The user interface could use some improvement and at times the system feels a bit slow.

we use it daily

Pros

I've been using it since our company switched from the internal portal. Before that, we had separate tools for performance and compensation which made the process feel fragmented. It fixed that by bringing everything together with features like the compensation view, reportees view, client input, performance input and the ability to manage priorities. It's been a solid setup overall after the migration.

Cons

Nothing major has come up for me so far. If anything, my only suggestion is that it could polish the GUI a bit since the interface doesn't feel the most polished right now.

Strong tools for team development

Pros

Throughout my career I have worked with Workday in multiple positions and whenever I switch into environments that don't use it the difference is obvious right away. It gives me strong tools to keep tabs on and assess my team's time tracking, while also helping me manage career development, training and most importantly annual goal setting. Because of these features I am better able to evaluate how my staff are progressing, pinpoint issues early and make sure they're meeting their professional development objectives. I also rely on Workday to generate payroll reports and to update employee records although managing people remains my primary use for the system.

Cons

Actually I have been getting frequent comments that the site's scraping functionality falls short, forcing applicants to repeatedly type the same information when applying for different positions. I know of an easy workaround like a plain text file that can autofill those fields-but most people probably don't. Because of that lack of awareness, applicants keep facing the same friction and I think Workday should highlight this simple autofill trick more prominently on their site so users can save time and avoid redundant data entry.

Clean interface brings HR finance together

Pros

What I like most about Workday is its clean, user friendly interface and how easily it brings HR and finance together. I also value the powerful analytics and cloud-based access which have noticeably improved efficiency and made collaboration across our teams much smoother in managing the workforce.

Cons

I have noticed Workday can come with a fairly steep learning curve and there are limits to how much you can customize things, plus some setups for advanced features can get complicated. On top of that, a few people struggle with adapting to updates and there are occasional performance hiccups.
