“Quick schedule paystub time off”

Pros

I am glad that I can easily view my schedule, submit time off requests and access my paystubs very quickly now.

Cons

Finding the payroll reports is really difficult and I often cannot easily locate or pull the reports I need.

“Precise timestamps with file categories”

Pros

What I appreciate is being able to see precise timestamps for every step the applicant goes through in the hiring process. I also find it handy that I can upload attachments and there are built-in categories for different kinds of files.

Cons

Honestly I cannot pinpoint anything I disliked as it handled tracking application progress fine. If anything, I would like better indexing or an easier way to search for a candidate's name since entries can appear duplicated multiple times.

“Go-to hub for recruiting feedback”

Pros

Whenever I need HR tools, I consider Workday my go-to hub for everything related to HR. I use it for recruiting, managing team members and giving feedback.

Cons

Searching can be a bit confusing for me. when I look up someone it sometimes returns a list of workflows or processes instead of the person I want.

“Clear details on correct pages”

Pros

When I locate the correct page, the details are laid out clearly and are simple for me to interact with.

Cons

It's often a struggle for me to pinpoint the relevant information among the different sections and tabs.

“Long learning curve, slows us down”

Pros

I appreciate that I can pull up the organization chart right in the system so it's easy to see reporting lines at a glance.

Cons

It took me a long time to get comfortable with the software as the layout and features aren't simple so learning it was slower than I expected.

“Better than previous but slower”

Pros

After switching from UltiPro to Workday, I have found it really pleasant and simpler to locate the time clock and PTO resources.

Cons

I do think it's slower and less user friendly than it could be but it's definitely much better than the previous software options I have used.

“Simple layout sometimes hides data”

Pros

I like how simple the layout is. Plus it gives me a reliable way to keep different data organized like HR records, job openings and time off. Also the clean interface and user experience make it easy to use and the left-hand navigation bar is especially handy.

Cons

Overall I find the UX a little uninspired and I sometimes struggle to locate certain pieces of data buried within submenus.

“Great reporting”

Pros

Payroll results have been 100% accurate and whenever a question comes up about any field, the descriptions are really solid and helpful. The reports are simple and come out cleanly formatted which makes them easy to review. The recruiting side is also a really valuable asset, it gives a much wider view of what's going on and helps tie things together.

Cons

Only real area that could use improvement is customization. If more features could be personalized to match our workflow, it would save time and reduce the amount of manual tweaking we sometimes do.

I have found it far easier to handle my team's availability on a regular basis now.

Cons

At the moment I don't have any negatives to report since I am still getting familiar with the portal.

Pros

The tool comes packed with features and capabilities and it genuinely feels like it has overtaken several other tools for the kinds of workflows we handle. Being able to run the whole hiring process during standard business hours was a nice perk. I also appreciate that employee records and related paperwork are kept securely in one place.

Cons

Nothing about it is unbearable but finding specific items has often been a hassle. The search can be slow at times and a little glitchy which is enough to mess with your momentum when you're trying to track something down.

“Works so well”

Pros

Its visualization is pretty simple and makes it easy to review everyone's holiday/leave plans at a glance. It also surfaces upcoming bank holidays and events and you can adjust plans quickly when changes are needed.

Cons

Checking remaining leave days is a bit confusing because the "remaining" figure updates based on the day you select, rather than showing your total remaining allowance. That said, it's manageable once you get used to how it displays the numbers since it's not meant to reflect the overall total allowance.

“Simple browsing of employee details”

Pros

From my experience the interface makes it simple to browse employee details and I find it very user-friendly and suited for business.

Cons

I find it more expensive than many other HRMS platforms I have looked at.

“good set of integrations”

Pros

Really stands out for managing customer relationships, it keeps track of interactions in a simple way so nothing important slips through. Also, it's also the system we rely on for human resources, payroll and a wide range of employee records and workflows. A big win is how it supports employees in making their own HR-related choices and then getting properly compensated as part of those decisions.

Cons

There's a noticeable learning curve here. Once it's figured out, daily workflows tend to feel smoother but I still run into trouble when trying to complete anything major, more often than not it turns into my mistake and the system layout ends up being the culprit. It has a lot of hidden or seemingly random "tripwires," so it's easy to get caught off guard if you don't already know where to watch.

For the most part, I can get to a ton of information easily and without much hassle.

Cons

On the other hand, I frequently end up going on scavenger hunts for certain details because parts of the site are so poorly organized.

Pros

I have found Workday to be the top customer management platform. I can easily monitor tasks, track communications and keep everything organized through it.

Cons

Initially I found the interface somewhat complicated as a new user yet after I became comfortable navigating it, it started resolving my daily workflow problems reliably.

To be fair, the one clear upside I notice is that it very rarely if ever crashes or drops offline during my use.

Cons

When I try to do something that seems simple, it often ends up being really hard or even impossible. For example, I cannot figure out how to edit the hours on an already approved vacation. If there is a way, I have never found it. So my only option is to cancel the original request and submit a new one just to change the time. That kind of basic task should be simple. Also I could list many other examples where the system is frustratingly hard to navigate turning small tasks into time consuming hassles.

“Im satisfied”

Pros

Has really grown into a solid platform for our business needs. We can track daily hours and time off in one place, manage our client database, handle learning and training and submit expenses without jumping between systems.

Cons

Overall it's a great tool and I honestly don't see much, if anything, that I dislike about it.

“For employees good but for admins nahh”

Pros

As an employee, I find it the best for HR self-service tasks. Requesting time off and similar actions are pretty easy and I can easily look up information, correct errors and reach my personal details without hassle.

Cons

Serving as an administrator, the platform is a real headache. To be honest I work at a university where we rely on it for temporary, staff and academic hiring and those processes are all handled very differently yet the system treats them uniformly. Every time I attempt a major operation I seem to trigger some mistake and more often than not those failures stem from the application's many unseen and arbitrary tripwires.

This is a tool that makes manipulation and customization really simple, with an adaptive interface that feels simple to navigate.

Cons

The wide range of tools can be a bit confusing for people who aren't used to this kind of environment.

Pros

Being able to use the software on my phone has been a huge win and the navigation is really simple. There are lots of options and extra features bundled in but I can still move around and find what I need without getting lost.

Cons

So far, nothing about this software has bothered me.
