“it is a complete employee management”
Pros
I have found Workday HCM includes every employee management component I need from onboarding to offboarding, plus templates, performance reviews and feedback, links to learning and development tools, compliance integrations and an applicant-tracking module.
Cons
For me it's hard to quickly locate where all the varied employee-management features live. The interface doesn't win any design awards and I sometimes struggle to navigate through it. It could be far easier to learn but I end up needing to do some Googling to figure things out.

“External connections are limited”
Pros
My experience is that it ties in smoothly with other Workday features and is simple to set up inside the Workday environment although I do think Workday still has room to improve.
Cons
I would like the capability to generate outputs or connect with external systems outside the Workday ecosystem.

“can be better”
Pros
Interface has a really neat, clean look which makes everything feel more organized. I also appreciate being able to use it as a mobile app so you're not stuck depending on a desktop all the time.
Cons
There aren't any shortcuts or quick links to jump to the sections you use most. A few tiles require extra taps to reach what you're trying to find so the navigation can feel a bit slower than it needs to be at times.

“good Layout”
Pros
The app feels really user friendly and it's simple enough that it doesn't take much training to get started. Everything is laid out in a way that makes it simple to work with right away.
Cons
Nothing stands out as something I disliked. I didn't end up using a few features but that's more about my needs than any real problem with the product.

“allows managing employees with a large headcount”
Pros
Workday is an excellent portal for handling employee data. It covers payroll, applicant tracking and monitoring staff performance, among other things. I often use it to assign tasks across the team and to keep an eye on individual achievements. For me it makes it much simpler to manage and follow employees day to day activities, especially when the organization has a large headcount.
Cons
Although it's great for handling HR-related tasks, I found it quite complex and not very user friendly at first. Operating it required proper training for me and my colleagues to get the hang of it. Once you invest the time to learn its features though, it becomes a really powerful and useful tool.

“annual absence overview works well”
Pros
Love how absences are managed here... it gives a clear view of the whole year when planning future leave and time off.
Cons
There's no description of the absence reasons which makes things harder. When you're new, it can be confusing to pick the correct reason.

“so convenient to use”
Pros
The interface feels really user friendly so both employees and HR teams can move around and get things done without much hassle. It also seems to require minimal training when you're just getting started since the layout and overall design are made to be adaptive.
Cons
Connecting it with other systems and apps can be a bit tricky at times and it often depends on how your organization's current IT infrastructure is set up.

“Tracking birthdays & anniversaries is easy now”
Pros
it is a good tool for employee engagement and people management. I appreciate that we can set clear goals for our teams and monitor the team's performance over time. I can even keep track of employees birthdays and work anniversaries within the system.
Cons
One limitation I notice is that Workday doesn't offer integration with Outlook. I think connecting it to additional tools would expand Workday's capabilities to do more. For example, I would like it to link with solutions like iCIMS so I can import employee data directly.

“smooth onbaording”
Pros
Accessing employee profiles is simple and onboarding new hires flows nicely. Direct deposit setup is also handled in a simple way and the compensation breakdown is easy to understand, base salary, stock options, RSUs and bonuses all show up clearly so you can see what makes up your pay.
Cons
Salary splitting has a limitation. There's no option to allocate by percentage (like 50% or 40% to one account). Instead, it requires entering whole numbers for the first account and putting the remainder into the second. That works for a while but once increments or pay raises kick in, you have to re calculate the exact dollar amount again to keep the split where you want it.

“Full HR spectrum scales with growth”
Pros
As someone who works with HR systems daily, I really value how Workday HCM covers the full spectrum of HR tasks. It allows me to maintain employee records, administer benefits, support recruiting and onboarding, manage performance reviews and coordinate learning and development initiatives. I also like that it scales as our organization grows. there aren't artificial limits so we can expand modules and capacity as HR needs increase. Its analytics and reporting are strong. I can create customized reports and extract useful insights on key HR metrics. Because everything is cloud-hosted, storing larger amounts of data is easy, it avoids local RAM issues and improves accessibility from anywhere.
Cons
In my experience getting it up and running requires a lot of planning and coordination. I found it difficult to set up without direct assistance from our IT team or an implementation partner. The product feels very much like a premium enterprise solution and I noticed the licensing and implementation costs can be quite high which could be a barrier for smaller organizations. There is also a learning curve as I needed formal training and time to become proficient with all the features. While support and training resources exist, you should expect to budget for extra training and consultancy if you want to use it optimally.
