“no training needed to use it”
Pros
One thing I like about Workday is that it is very user-friendly, the directions are clear and I am able to complete entries without any formal training. It has the feel of a business social network which I love!
Cons
What I found most frustrating about using Workday was its lack of compatibility with other platforms which forced us to migrate data manually. This manual transfer slowed down achieving full implementation. However in my experience it turned out to be a minor issue and was eventually resolved after coordinated effort across our IT team.

“simple dashboard for employees managers”
Pros
For our team the dashboard is really easy to use and I find it readily accessible for both employees and managers.
Cons
I sometimes encounter parts of the platform that prevent me from making specific changes on certain web pages so having full accessibility for all users would be much more helpful.

“i rely on it”
Pros
I'm on the app almost every day, handling HR info entry, completing my Associate check ins and working through the End of Year Review. The interface looks clean and the overall flow is simple to follow. When something isn't immediately obvious, the search bar at the top makes it quick to locate what I need.
Cons
Occasionally it takes a bit of digging to find a specific item in it though the built in search feature usually saves the day. I'd still like to see an even more adaptive front end overall.

“time tracking with great visibility”
Pros
This tool helps every employee record and submit their time and the leaders can also monitor progress for both individuals and whole teams.
Cons
Could use a more up to date interface and feel a bit more user friendly but overall it's still an awesome service.

“great forms with strong reporting”
Pros
I appreciate how simple it is to get to and submit forms and other information, along with the platform's strong reporting and insight features. I am also a fan of the company-wide search for finding people and teams.
Cons
For now, nothing really bothers me. Searching by keywords can sometimes be tricky but once I have learned the system and where to look for specific terms, it becomes easy. This is especially true if I stick to consistent workflows.

“Handles HR scenarios very well”
Pros
In my experience the interface is very user-friendly as it handles common HR scenarios well and I find it pretty easy to use.
Cons
There's a real learning curve with so many customizable options, it took me a good while to fully understand how the workflow hangs together.

“Clean interface makes the experience enjoyable”
Pros
The interface is clean and user friendly which makes my overall experience enjoyable. When I know what I am after, moving between sections or locating specific information is fairly easy and efficient to use
Cons
Logging in frustrates me when I am required to sign in multiple times a day due to a clunky MFA. The product would work better if it let me verify a device for longer time spans

“organizes everything well”
Pros
Biggest improvement for our company has been consolidating a lot of our processes into a single platform. Now we're running effective and efficient workflows using one system rather than juggling multiple tools to get to the same end goal.
Cons
Occasionally the system lags and feels a bit slow.

“Powerful but should have fewer clicks”
Pros
Workday is a powerful tool, capable of consolidating all our processes into a single platform. Extracting reports and pulling data is pretty simple and easy to navigate too. It also connects seamlessly with Greenhouse which is our ATS.
Cons
Well the interface is complex as it takes too many clicks to do simple things. Dropdowns don't auto-fill and when I search for something, I have to go into the All of Workday view to find it, even though that should be the default.

“One-click tracking is something I love”
Pros
I can track time and absences with one click and check my payroll info easily. Employees can set goals with manager input and I find it simple to create my own development goals using the guided mode.
Cons
In my experience Workday doesn't allow customizing certain parts the way I'd like. For example, its reporting options are fairly limited and it doesn't provide any automated insights or analytics to help make sense of the data.

“Single dashboard reduces browser tabs”
Pros
Workday brings together so many core employee tasks into a single, user friendly dashboard. Also it cut down the number of browser tabs and sign-ins I have to juggle when completing different HR-related tasks.
Cons
A recurring issue for me is the notifications area as it can be unclear. I'll open messages or alerts and mark them as read yet they often keep appearing as unread for months which makes going through notifications take much longer.

“User-friendly, stronger than ADP platform”
Pros
From my experience Workday is very user-friendly and brings a broad set of powerful features and capabilities that simplify many of our organization's processes and procedures. We used ADP before and it always felt considerably weaker compared to Workday.
Cons
I am not thrilled with the recent redesign of the front or landing page. It forces me to make an extra click to reach the full set of menu options. Though it is not a deal-breaker by any means but to me it feels less user friendly.

“Scales well, lacks a home dashboard”
Pros
I have found that Workday HCM scales well and I can automate many payroll operations.
Cons
For me it's frustrating that there's no dashboard on the home screen. getting around takes noticeably longer since I have to hunt for the specific action I want to perform.

“Reporting outperforms everything”
Pros
In my experience the reporting features in Workday outperform any other app I have used. I can schedule reports and have them sent to a wide range of recipients.
Cons
One limitation I ran into with this system is that I wasn't able to assign a single individual to more than one manager which hindered our organizational setup.

“layout simplifies navigation approvals”
Pros
One feature I really like is the tiled layout as it makes navigating the main Workday page pretty easy means I can quickly find where I need to go. I am also a fan of the built-in approval and workflow capabilities as I find those elements extremely useful when working in a larger organization that already has well-established processes.
Cons
That said, I dislike how inflexible the system can be because of its complex workflows and approval paths as it often makes handling exceptions difficult for me. In addition, I find its reporting tools somewhat awkward. In other words they aren't user friendly which makes generating the reports I need more frustrating and time-consuming than it should be.

“Uploading training videos is easy”
Pros
I really appreciate being able to upload training videos and full courses for everyone on the team to the platform. it's a practical, valuable feature. Plus it helps me quickly look up useful background and contact details about coworkers and teammates.
Cons
The interface is usually easy to use but some tools and options can be hard to find. So a quick guided tour when you first log in would probably solve that frustration.

“Simple PTO with org chart view”
Pros
It is pretty simple to log PTO and I find it really easy to see the organizational chart at once, including who's on which team and who reports to whom.

So far I haven't come across any features or behaviors in the platform that I find frustrating or dislike.

“Mobile app replaces browser version”
Pros
Workday HCM makes managing my team's workflows really efficient thanks to a fast, user friendly interface that's simple to use. Even though I can always switch back to the web browser version if needed, after installing Workday Mobile I personally didn't want to go back to the browser anymore.
Cons
Workday continuously updates and expands the app, rolling out new capabilities with nearly every release. however, I still notice that a number of handy features I rely on aren't yet included in the mobile version.

“One-click requests simplify personal management”
Pros
For me being able to request changes with a single click, submit my time and easily look up other people across the organization has been incredibly convenient. I find that virtually every aspect of Workday simplifies my personal management and makes handling tasks far less stressful.
Cons
Honestly there isn't much I dislike about it. The one area I would critique, however, is the navigation. Since I didn't have clear guidance at first, I felt somewhat confused and unsure how to move around the system initially.

“Visually clean and approachable for everyone”
Pros
It is a top-notch HCM platform and it extremely user friendly and visually clean. I also like how neatly the data is organized, the broad set of features it provides and how approachable it is for people who aren't HR specialists.
Cons
There are very few things I find frustrating about it. One capability I wish it had is the option to show dotted-line reporting relationships alongside the usual solid-line reporting structure because that distinction matters in many orgs.
