“strong HR system with top tech”
Pros
Overall system quality is really solid and the technology feels high-end. It's also a well-established product with a strong reputation in the Human Resources space which gives a lot of confidence.
Cons
Getting it up and running takes quite a while and there's a fair amount of training involved to learn how to use everything properly.

“Resume parsing speeds recruiting workflow”
Pros
Workday automatically pulls candidate info from uploaded resumes so I spend less time on manual data entry and the recruiting workflow moves along much quicker.
Cons
Honestly it forces me to set up a separate account for each firm which is annoying. I just wish there were a shared space or common data pool so I didn't have to re-enter information every time.

“saves so much time!!”
Pros
Love how it automatically pulls candidate details from the resumes I upload which cuts down a ton of manual data entry and makes the recruiting process run faster.
Cons
Each firm requires setting up a brand new account. I'd really like it if there were some shared/common data or a common space across firms.

“Flexible software with simpler certifications”
Pros
It is flexible, written in clear language that's easy to understand and offers useful options for integrations. Also the certifications have been updated and it's now simpler for me to get certified.
Cons
From my perspective there are definite opportunities to improve features around Global Mobility, international assignments and the onboarding processes.

“Loved it”
Pros
It's pretty flexible, the wording is simple to understand and the integrations are genuinely helpful. Also, the certification setup has been upgraded which makes it much simpler to get certified now.
Cons
There's still room to improve Global Mobility features, support for international assignments and the onboarding functionality.

“Easy access to employee records”
Pros
The interface is good because it makes it easy for me and my coworkers to quickly check our employee records, request time off and review our details.
Cons
There's nothing I dislike about it as it is very efficient and easy to use and I appreciate that it provides both a web portal and a mobile app.

“clean UI for time-off and data”
Pros
There's a really solid user interface here that lets employees quickly look up their employee details, request time off and review their own information. Navigation feels simple and the workflow supports those everyday HR tasks without making you hunt around.
Cons
Nothing stands out as something I dislike. It has been efficient and genuinely user friendly, plus it's nice that it includes both a web and mobile app interface.

“Simple clock in and out”
Pros
I really like how simple Workday makes clocking in and out as it is easy. And beyond being a good time clock tool, requesting time off is also incredibly quick and easy.
Cons
Having used it every day I cannot really point to anything I dislike about it. There was one update that forced me to learn a new layout and how to get around the app again but it was only a small annoyance.

“effortless to use”
Pros
Made it really simple to clock in and out for my shifts. On top of being a solid time clock app, it also makes submitting PTO requests simple and quick.
Cons
After using it every day, nothing really stands out as a downside. It did get updated once and I had to relearn a few parts of the navigation but the change was minor and didn't last long.

“Complex training packages lack support”
Pros
When Workday's learning system works properly it handles training modules reliably and as expected. I also like that it tracks key details for training records and it's clear that it is actively improving its learning tools. As someone focused on training I like how the platform keeps evolving to let people like me better customize learning programs.
Cons
I have had issues when it tries to run more complex training packages that track completion through quizzes with multiple attempts. I went back and forth with their support team several times but they did not offer a fix only suggested I revisit how the training package was set up.

“Not recommended !”
Pros
Biggest strength, when it's behaving correctly as an LMS, is how reliably it can load and run SCORM packages. I also appreciate that it captures several key pieces of information that matter for training records and it seems committed to improving the LMS over time. It's also nice to see that learning partners like me have options to customize campaigns.
Cons
A frustrating part is that it struggles with more complex SCORM files... especially ones that need completion tracking tied to a quiz with multiple attempts. There were quite a few rounds of back-and-forth with their team to figure out what was going wrong but the only guidance ended up being to revisit how the SCORM package was built, with no real fix or workaround offered.

“All data reports in one place”
Pros
What I like is being able to run reports across different types of data like compensation, learning, talent and turnover all in one place.
Cons
Getting up to speed with report writing took longer than I expected and people rarely emphasize how much time the learning curve demands. However once I mastered it, the tool became a total game changer for me.

“powerful cross-functional reporting”
Pros
The app lets me report on cross-functional data sets... compensation, learning, talent and attrition... all in one place.
Cons
Onboarding for report writing is a bit lacking. It doesn't get enough emphasis on how much time it takes to learn. Still, once you get the hang of it, it honestly becomes a total game changer.

“Central visibility for all tasks”
Pros
It is really helpful to have one central place for all HR tasks that too with clear visibility into how long each one takes and the ability to track them easily while they're in progress.
Cons
Often I find it is really tough getting our customers to actually pay attention to notifications so having more flexibility to customize alerts would be a big help.

“centralized HR tracking”
Pros
Having everything HR-related in one centralized spot has been a big win. It also gives clear visibility into how long each transaction takes and it's simple to locate where things are mid-process.
Cons
Getting our customers to actually pay attention to the notifications can be tricky so adding more customization options for those alerts would make a real difference.

“Customizable platform keeps data consolidated”
Pros
As an Admin I find Workday HCM extremely customizable yet still under my control. Compared with other platforms I have dealt with, I am genuinely able to shape our Workday tenant to match what I want and what the business requires. That flexibility lets us meet our specific business needs without buying a heavily tailored solution that's too difficult or costly to support. I also really appreciate having all employee information from benefits to time off, payroll and more consolidated in a single system. That consolidation makes our HR data flow smoothly to the downstream teams that rely on it on a daily basis.
Cons
From time to time I struggle to understand the art of the possible just by looking at our implementation. In my experience many organizations launch with a minimal configuration and afterwards it's difficult to figure out the next steps or how to expand capabilities.

“UI is good”
Pros
Feels both extremely configurable and still manageable from an Admin standpoint. Compared with other platforms I've worked with, I'm able to shape our Workday tenant to match what the business actually needs. That means we can address our specific processes without paying for an overly customized system that becomes expensive and difficult to maintain later on. I also really value that employee data, things like benefits, time off, payroll and more, lives in a single system. Having it all connected makes it easier to keep HR information flowing smoothly into the downstream teams and functions that rely on it.
Cons
Figuring out what's possible can be tricky based only on the implementation. A lot of customers end up going live with a fairly basic setup and it isn't always obvious what improvements or next steps to pursue afterward.

“Playful interface covers all processes”
Pros
Actually I like that it doesn't feel boring for the end user as it's more playful and visually fancier compared with many other HRIS platforms. I find several modules very easy to navigate and overall it's incredibly helpful for handling HR workflows, able to cover nearly every HR process directly inside the system.
Cons
For my team reporting is a pain point as it's hard to trace where the trended worker data actually comes from and combining different datasets or sources isn't simple. Building executive dashboards is complicated so we often resort to Power BI exports which means moving sensitive information out of the platform. We also hit security constraints when working with matrixed organizational structures.
