“its great”
Pros
Recruitment is pretty simple to manage from the HCM side, everything from starting the recruiting process, collecting and screening applications, running interviews and completing the hire. It also gives employees their own self-service portal which makes day to day access a lot more convenient.
Cons
Some parts of the platform are difficult to tailor to our organization's needs. Customizable options that are specific to our requirements can't be configured and while it handles the basic workflows well, it falls short when we need certain policies and regulations reflected inside the system. As a result, a chunk of the process still has to be completed manually.

“Mobile and web are equally good”
Pros
Accessing the system through the mobile app or a web browser was incredibly easy and I found the layout very user-friendly. it didn't take me long at all to work out how to navigate around.
Cons
I noticed while using it that the notification system could use some improvement as messages sent inside the app didn't trigger push notifications to my phone so I sometimes missed them.

“comes recommended”
Pros
Accessing it through the app or directly in a web browser felt simple and the interface was genuinely user friendly. Navigation didn't take long to get the hang of even for first-time use.
Cons
Notifications could use some improvement. If you got a message while staying inside the app, it didn't come through as a push notification.

“Resume retyping takes a lot of type”
Pros
As a candidate I can only say that Workday exists. I cannot think of any other upside. There is no AI that parses my resume and any text or data I type in has to be entered again every single time.
Cons
Well I have to retype my entire resume every single time, even though I am using the same login credentials. Workday doesn't retain anything and it certainly cannot extract CVs automatically. Have they ever thought about using AI? There is absolutely no end-user support which comes across as arrogant as if they're saying we're so amazing!. I wouldn't expect my candidates to endure this.

“Essential documents organized across devices”
Pros
Using Workday I am able to organize all of my essential work documents, PTO requests, payroll details and expense claims easily whether I am on my phone or my laptop. Tasks important to me get assigned and I receive Slack notifications without any hiccups.
Cons
On the mobile app it sometimes feels a bit awkward and clumsy and I struggle to locate the right tabs when I am not exactly sure where the information lives. It's not a major problem though and I still really like the platform overall.

“workday handles everything”
Pros
Lets me keep track of all my key work stuff, documents, PTO, salary details and expenses, in one place. I can manage it just as well from my phone or my laptop. It also assigns tasks to me and pushes notifications to Slack which makes staying on top of things feel pretty easy.
Cons
The mobile experience can feel a little dated at times and navigating the right sections isn't always super adaptive if you don't already know where the info lives. It's not a dealbreaker though and overall I'm really happy with the platform.

“Payroll and contacts easily accessible”
Pros
Workday is really convenient for checking my payroll information, figuring out who my manager is and looking up coworkers contact details whenever I need to reach out to someone.
Cons
Often I find the UI packed with jargon that's difficult for me to follow and there aren't any hover-over explanations to make the terms clearer. Also the organizational chart doesn't translate well to mobile as I usually have to zoom out a lot to view it which is awkward and difficult for me to do.

“Excellent support with reliable reporting”
Pros
The customer support has been excellent and I find the software extremely user-friendly. Also it's easy to configure and administer and the reporting capabilities are reliable.
Cons
I do feel it's not very customizable and in my experience it's a fairly closed ecosystem where the Workday product team holds most of the control. I also had to purchase numerous additional SKUs to access the full range of features.

“excellent support”
Pros
Excellent customer support and the platform feels extremely user friendly for daily use. Configuration and administration are simple and the reporting features are really strong, quick to access and useful for getting visibility into what's happening.
Cons
Customization is on the lighter side. It also runs on a closed setup where most control sits with their product team so you don't get as much flexibility. To reach the full range of functionality, you'll likely need a number of add ons from Sky which can make the setup more costly and involved.

“Ask-an-Expert teaches valuable skills”
Pros
Ask-an-Expert completely changed how I work with Workday. Instead of doing everything for me, the team teaches me the process so I can handle it myself which I find far more valuable. That guidance moved my thinking from Can Workday do XYZ? to What do I want Workday to accomplish for us? Investing time in learning up front has paid off because the configurations I build are reusable and scale nicely. That hands-on approach multiplies value over time. I also don't encounter many bugs. when I do run into issues, it usually turns out to be something I missed in the setup.
Cons
The same flexibility that makes Workday powerful is also what makes it complex. I have discovered there's a real learning curve and it takes patience and time to understand how all the pieces fit together. The payoff is worth it in the end but I would recommend planning for a deliberate ramp-up so you don't get frustrated.

“easy navigation”
Pros
Interface feels really user friendly and the whole layout is simple enough that it's easy to understand. Moving through the different menus and modules is simple so tasks get done without a lot of hunting around.
Cons
Updates can be a bit delayed and when it came time to configure certain settings, the process felt painfully slow and frustrating, getting things done quickly was not simple.

“Organized operations with strategic focus”
Pros
Workday HCM is very user friendly and progressive. When it's properly implemented and supported by a capable HRIS team, it really streamlines how our organization operates and gives HR the tools to focus on strategic initiatives.
Cons
From my experience Workday HCM can come across as buggy if it's not set up correctly and although many of its technical constraints make sense, they still end up irritating HRIS staff because end users often misunderstand how things should work.

“stellar support”
Pros
Feels adaptive and very forward-thinking. When your setup is done properly and you have a solid HRIS team supporting it, it can significantly improve organizational efficiency and help HR move into more strategic, higher impact operations.
Cons
If it's set up poorly, it can start to feel dated. The technical limits are understandable in principle but they can still be frustrating for HRIS teams especially when you don't fully grasp how everything is supposed to work.

“One-stop solution for hiring needs”
Pros
For all our hiring needs, we truly have a one-stop solution! I am really happy that we can manage applicants and our current employees benefits, HR records and payroll details all within this application.
Cons
I had to spend some time getting used to the interface and there was a fair learning curve before I could locate all the features embedded throughout the application but after ironing those issues out, the overall usability improved dramatically.

“Impressive!”
Pros
This really works as a one-stop shop for our hiring needs. We can handle applications and also manage benefits for both candidates and current employees through the same platform. It covers a lot of HR basics, plus payroll information which keeps everything in one place.
Cons
Getting comfortable with the layout took a little time and there's a learning curve at first for locating all the built in features. After we ironed that out though, using it became much more simple.

“Well-designed HR platform”
Pros
The interface is well-designed and I find it very easy to navigate. Also it helps me consolidate lots of HR responsibilities from payroll processing to managing routine contract tasks without fuss.
Cons
Sometimes I get frustrated using it for job searches because the search tool is pretty limited. it rarely shows detailed information about listings so I end up spending a lot more time digging through roles and opening multiple pages compared to other job sites.

“Mobile app enables remote work”
Pros
I like the mobile app because it lets our team work remotely with minimal fuss. Team members can submit requests for time off straight from home which is super convenient. It hooks up smoothly with other solutions, especially time-tracking software making things more efficient overall. That kind of integration has also helped us trim down production expenses.
Cons
We've run into no problems so far. I am pleased with it because we've been scheduling our shifts and meetings without much trouble or extra effort.
