Pros
One thing that has really worked well with Xero is the receipt capture feature which helps us keep close track of expenses without much effort. The budgeting tools are easy to use and make it easier to build accurate budgets for our projects. Its invoicing features also let us prepare detailed invoices so payment collection stays organized. On top of that the reporting tools give us clear financial insights that help us understand exactly where the business stands. I also appreciate the strong security features since they do a very good job of protecting our sensitive financial information and privacy.
Cons
At this point there really is nothing about it that seems lacking. It has been performing exactly as we need and has worked out very well for us.

Pros
Using Xero has been a very positive experience thanks to its user friendly design, helpful automation features and smooth integrations with other tools.
Cons
The downside is that it can seem expensive for smaller businesses and the mobile app does not always offer the full functionality available on desktop.

Pros
Having the option for unlimited users is a big advantage and the wide range of integrations makes it fit well with other tools. The platform is also user friendly overall, real-time reporting is very useful and the mobile app is a nice bonus to have.
Cons
One downside is that customer support isn't available by phone. It can also take some time for new users to figure out how everything works, customization options are somewhat limited and the pricing can become expensive especially for small businesses.

A big plus is that it's a cloud-based accounting system so I can use it from anywhere as long as there's an internet connection.

Pros
One of the best parts of using Xero is the financial reporting which gives really eye-opening insight into where our organization stands financially. It also comes with budgeting and expense tracking tools that help us control and make better use of our financial resources. On top of that Xero has advanced security features that do a very good job of protecting sensitive financial data from unauthorized access. The bookkeeping tools are also excellent making it simple to keep financial documents and receipts well organized and easy to reference whenever needed.
Cons
Up to this point I haven't run into any downsides with it. Everything has been working exactly as expected and there really haven't been any complaints on our side.

Once everything was set up, running salaries was fairly easy. Xero also comes with plenty of other features to explore even though we mostly just use the basic ones.
Cons
The setup process is a bit convoluted and can be difficult to get through.

It is easy use. Plus I really liked how well it connected with my bank accounts, how simple the reconciliation process was and how easy it was to set up the chart of accounts. The customer service is also excellent and genuinely helps whenever you need guidance along the way.
Cons
There really is not much negative to mention but one drawback is that a lot of accountants still do not integrate with it.

Among the accounting platforms I have used, Xero has been the most impressive. It brings together a broad set of online accounting tools, including AP, AR, GL and payment matching, all in one place which makes it incredibly useful.
Cons
Any time an issue comes up, the vendor's technical support team responds quickly and resolves the bug fast so at this point I haven't run into anything frustrating.

After getting familiar with it the platform becomes easy to use and the support team has been really helpful.
Cons
It did take some time to fully understand how everything works. I'd also really like a real-time chat option for support or reporting although that might be available on a higher-tier plan but I am not sure. The unlimited callbacks are a big plus but they aren't immediate.

From keeping financial records organized to handling tax-related tasks, this software covers nearly everything needed for accounting. It includes year-end reports for the IRS which is a big deal and it also sends reminders for quarterly tax payment deadlines. Bank accounts can be connected for reconciliation and each expense can be assigned to the right tax or non-tax category. It also supports tracking deductions like vehicle depreciation for tax write-offs, along with plenty of other useful features.
Cons
That said the promotional price I was shown was nowhere close to what I actually ended up being charged. On top of that after missing my payment by just two days, all of my data was suddenly inaccessible as everything I had entered, reconciled, invoiced and documented was basically locked away until I paid the higher amount. That was a real wake-up call. When you're running a business, being locked out of your accounting software for any amount of time is a serious problem. It definitely made me think twice about the product. Even Zoho seems like a better alternative since it offers similar features for much less and in some cases even free, without all the gimmicks.
