Pros

Xero has been a fantastic fit for us. We really appreciate the features it offers and it helps us manage the business more effectively and efficiently from both the income and expense sides.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning but once we got familiar with it, we felt very confident using it. Whenever we've needed help, the customer support has been really good.

Xero is simple to use, with a simple layout that makes financial tasks easy to handle. The real-time collaboration is one of its best features making teamwork seem smooth and well connected. Automation really makes a difference too, taking repetitive work off our plates. Its reporting tools are also impressive, giving clear insights that help us make better decisions.

Cons

Its pricing tiers can be a bit tough on smaller budgets. It connects with plenty of apps but I'd still like to see a wider range of integrations available. Customer support could also respond faster since waiting longer for help can make issue resolution frustrating.

Compared with other options I have tried, this application is very user friendly and packed with strong functionality. Keeping track of a business account and its expenses is incredibly convenient with it.

Cons

The only downside is that the pricing is a little higher than some other companies offering a similar product.

At its price point Xero is a really great accounting package. It covers the core functions a small to medium-sized business needs in order to run day to day operations effectively.

Cons

That said some parts of the functionality seem limited and can end up holding the business back or forcing you to create workarounds. A good example is user permissions as other platforms let administrators assign different authority levels so you can have several layers of users with varying access but it handles this very poorly. There's basically only one authority setting to adjust and it gives the user almost no meaningful permissions which makes that feature hard to use in practice.

Once it's set up properly, this product makes it much easier for everyone involved to use the software and review the financials with confidence. It gives all stakeholders a clear view of the current position so it's hard to feel lost in the accounting side of things.

Cons

The bank reconciliation feature does sometimes pick the wrong invoice.

There's not much to complain about although having a bit more interface customization would be a nice addition so it's clearer to view what I need and hide the parts I don't want on screen.

Using it is very easy and it really helps cut down on both time and costs. Keeping track of payments is simple which makes day to day accounting much more manageable.

It's very easy to work with. After using it going back to manually typed invoices just doesn't feel worth it.

I keep putting it off because I expect it to be more difficult than it actually is but once I get into it, it's really simple and quick to use.

It handled what I needed it to do and overall it seems like a very complete piece of software. There are tons of integrations available and it connects with almost every financial analysis tool out there, along with banks across the US.

The interface still needs improvement. For a well-known software like this, I really think it should offer more options to edit or personalize the layout.

The features and reporting in Xero have been excellent for us. It fits our business really well and does exactly what we need.

Being able to scan receipts and have the receipt details uploaded into the system is really convenient and saves time.

There are quite a few extra buttons in the interface and I am not always sure they're necessary. That said it still doesn't make the software hard to use.

Xero is a very user friendly accounting platform and the wide range of add-ons makes it even more useful. Our finance team relies on features like bank reconciliation, invoice creation and reporting every day and all of them work really well.

Its pricing has gone up multiple times in the past few months.

The interface is simple, attractive and pleasant to use. Most of the features work really well and make the platform a great accounting solution.

The bank feed connection can be unreliable and there still isn't a payroll feature available for Canada.

Xero was one of the first cloud accounting platforms and it makes keeping accurate organized books very manageable for even a solo micro business. Handling receipts and reconciling income and expenses is also simple enough that you can comfortably do your own bookkeeping. At the same time, it has enough depth to support a large multimillion-dollar company so it scales really well as a business grows.

Cons

Its inventory feature is fairly basic and works fine for smaller businesses but we needed more advanced inventory and warehouse functionality so we connected it with a third-party solution from Cin7.

This platform has a bit of a learning curve but it's still a great option. Its security is strong, the operational control is excellent and the easy monitoring is one of its best features.

Cons

The pricing is a little high compared to other applications on the market and the subscription plans really should be more affordable. The interface also comes across as too basic and could use a major update.

The dashboard has a well thought out design and a modern interface. It also offers a great set of features especially for invoicing and inventory management.

Cons

Report generation takes longer than it should and the overall value feels lower now with the price going above $70 per month.
