“automation that saves hours”
Pros
To me the biggest benefits of Xero is how much time it cuts out of the day by automating more than 80% of the manual accounting work, including AP, billing, invoicing and payroll tasks.
Cons
The mobile app used to be pretty laggy especially when it had to handle large amounts of data like invoices though that was mainly before the iOS version was updated.

“Amazon integration is a lifesaver”
Pros
One of the best parts for me is how Xero pulls in thousands of transactions from my Amazon Seller Central account. My outsourced accounting team handled the setup through Amazon's API and once that was in place, everything worked really well. The interface looks clean and appealing and it's simple to navigate. Because it's so user friendly, I can track transactions, generate real-time reports and review financial data efficiently. The flexibility and convenience of customizing reports is also a big plus.
Cons
One area that could be better is report customization since some advanced changes require stronger accounting knowledge and technical skills. I noticed that creating certain custom reports takes extra time and in our case it also meant spending more resources to bring in someone with the right expertise to do it for us.

“clear and budget-friendly accounting”
Pros
Compared with the other systems I checked out, this one was more affordable and a lot less confusing. I don't know much about accounting terminology but I could still search up what I needed and get by without much trouble.
Cons
It would be even better if there were a way to simplify it further for users like me who need things explained in a more basic way.

“live reporting and useful integrations”
Pros
The reporting is really valuable and can be broken down in a very detailed way. The integrations also work well, pulling in data from credit cards and other sources without much hassle which gives a live view of overall financial health.
Cons
There's a limit of only two custom integrations and a lot of the complexity feels more suited to accountants than everyday users so it isn't the most user friendly option.

“a decade of accounting automation”
Pros
More than ten years have passed since I started using Xero and it has consistently helped me automate over 86% of the repetitive manual accounting work, including billing, invoicing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Cons
I haven't run into any issues with it whenever I use it at my workstation.

“powerful reporting and integrations”
Pros
The interface is very user friendly so getting around the platform doesn't take much effort. Real-time reporting is a big plus and the ability to connect with more than 800 third-party apps makes it even more useful.
Cons
One downside is that payroll features aren't available in some countries and the pricing is higher than what some competing products charge.

“clean layout and fair pricing”
Pros
Right away the website layout felt clean and well organized. The pricing is also appealing, even if it takes a bit of effort to figure out which plan is best for which type of use.
Cons
Getting started was fairly confusing without any background in this kind of software. Compared with other options like QuickBooks, it was harder to understand at first.

“powerful invoicing with flexibility”
Pros
The quoting and invoicing features seem capable and user friendly, while still offering enough depth for more advanced use when needed. It also works well whether you use inventory and stock tracking or rely on custom items so it's flexible enough to fit a wide range of businesses and workflows.
Cons
One confusing part is the way saving and sending invoices or quotes works. Clicking SEND doesn't actually send it right away as it first opens the email composer and only after writing the message and clicking send again does it actually go out. The design tools are available and quite capable too but they're not always simple to locate or tweak while creating items.

“Simple interface and workflow”
Pros
This software is very easy to use. The interface is also user friendly so it's usually quick to locate whatever you need without much effort.
Cons
Handling multiple currency accounts isn't one of its stronger points. It's a fairly niche limitation but for our business it matters a lot and we've had to adjust our process to work around it.

“Great tools and broad integrations”
Pros
Xero software is easy to use, with a user friendly layout that works well for both accountants and business owners handling their finances. It also integrates with a wide range of third-party apps and services including payment gateways, payroll platforms and CRM systems. On top of that there's great customer support and plenty of helpful resources available when questions come up or issues need to be sorted out.
Cons
One downside is the pricing which can be a bit higher than some other accounting software options especially for businesses that need multiple users or access to more advanced features.

“powerful invoicing and integrations”
Pros
The tool is easy to use and the bank feeds plus the invoicing tools work really well overall. The wide range of integrations is also a big part of what sets Xero apart from other accounting platforms.
Cons
Every now and then, the bank feed cuts out so we end up checking everything twice or even three times to make sure nothing went missing. In the past two years, we've had two cases where some transactions never came through because of that.

“banking integration that delivers”
Pros
After looking for a user friendly platform to simplify my financial management, Xero turned out to be exactly what I needed. Its smooth integration with banking apps has saved me a lot of time and let me put more energy into growing my business.
Cons
The pricing feels fair for everything that's included though I'd still appreciate a bit more flexibility in how the plans are structured.

“versatile cloud accounting companion”
Pros
Xero has become a favorite for many small businesses and I can see why. It's a cloud-based accounting platform that covers a lot of ground, from invoicing and bill payments to inventory tracking and reporting. Being mobile-friendly is a big plus too since it lets me check and manage our data from pretty much anywhere.
Cons
Compared with some other accounting tools, it still seems a bit limited in certain areas. Customizing it can also be tricky at times and it doesn't seem to have the same level of adoption or recognition as a few of the bigger accounting software names.

“helpful small business basics”
Pros
The platform is easy to work with and covers the core accounting features a small business needs to record transactions and keep track of its finances.
Cons
One thing that bothers me is the way updates are made to areas like invoices and bills because they do not really improve the product in my view. The report changes are also frustrating since updates tend to make them more cluttered and complicated, with no way to remove the extra elements you do not want. Another issue comes up when managing multiple companies at once. If I have more than one organization open and switch back and forth, there is no option to change the menu bar color or add another visual cue to quickly tell which company I am working in.

“clean interface and user friendly design”
Pros
Right from the start Xero seems user friendly and simple to move around in. The interface is clean and well organized so it works well for both accounting professionals and people who don't have much background in finance.
Cons
One downside is the pricing which can feel a bit high for small businesses or startups compared with other accounting software. On top of that some extra features and add-ons can push the total cost up even more.

“Saves us time”
Pros
Everything is very easy to navigate which makes tracking transactions and pulling real-time reports much more efficient. The automatic bank transaction import saves me a lot of time since I don't have to enter every transaction by hand. I also rely on the automatic reconciliation feature to catch discrepancies quickly and resolve potential issues right away. Another big plus is being able to customize reports and dashboards so they match exactly what I need.
Cons
Even though it's an excellent tool overall, I have noticed that the platform can slow down during busy periods and that can be frustrating.

“real-time budgeting benefits”
Pros
At Creative Alliance this software has been a really positive fit overall. It makes it simpler for us to plan our budget around our actual needs and being able to check our finances in real time from anywhere is a huge plus.
Cons
There really are not many downsides from what I have seen but one thing worth mentioning is that someone brand new to the software could feel a bit lost or overwhelmed at first. Other than that, it has been very good.
