“friendly start for beginners”
Pros
Getting started with Xero as someone new to accounting software has been fairly easy and it didn't take long to get comfortable with the basics.
Cons
A few features do feel tucked away though and I still end up checking the help guide whenever I need to track them down.

“powerful reconciliations and integrations”
Pros
Xero integrates with many software tools which makes reconciliation much easier. Its reconciliation feature is especially impressive and really helps keep bookkeeping organized and manageable.
Cons
The interface feels quite outdated and could definitely use a refresh especially the menu layout. At times even basic items are hard to locate unless you dig through the settings to find them.

“clear balance sheets and profit insights”
Pros
The balance sheets are really well laid out. Once you choose the reporting period, everything is presented clearly in a way that makes it much simpler to understand where the business stands in terms of profit and loss.
Cons
One downside is that they no longer handle payroll so you have to pay a third-party service to take care of it. That's a pretty important function for any company relying on an accounting system.

“fast payments and tidy invoicing”
Pros
Payments go through quickly and the bank reconciliation works really well too. Invoices stay organized and are managed properly, while the billing and invoicing process is simple to handle. It also makes accounting much more manageable overall especially with its efficient payroll tools.
Cons
There's still room to improve the small business accounting side of it. The expense reports could also use more customizable themes to make them more useful and effective.

“user friendly accounting and invoicing”
Pros
Handling accounting with Xero is very convenient thanks to its user friendly interface. Billing and invoicing are simple to manage and the inventory management features work really well too. It's also a good option for running a small business and the financial reporting is useful and performs well overall.
Cons
Payroll management could still use some improvement since it's such an essential part of the overall purpose. I also think the financial reporting could be refined further although everything else works fine.

“business runs better with xero”
Pros
A user friendly accounting platform that helps keep the business running more efficiently.
Cons
My only real complaint is when I go looking for a feature that feels like it should already be there, only to discover users have been asking for it for years and the team still hasn't managed to add or fix it. It's a small frustration overall.

“billing, payroll and reporting win”
Pros
Handling billing and invoicing with Xero has been really easy and the payroll tools have been just as helpful. The financial reporting side is also well done, simple to manage and genuinely useful for keeping track of things.
Cons
One concern I do have is around data privacy since very sensitive information gets shared in the system. Bank reconciliation also feels like an area that still needs more improvement and attention.

Pros
The software is pretty easy to use and most of it is clear to use. The two-step verification is also a really nice touch, adding an extra layer of security to help protect sensitive information.
Cons
Handling credit note allocation and reversing reconciliations can be a little confusing and those parts could definitely be made more simplified.

“automation that really helps”
Pros
Automating bank reconciliation, invoice creation and payment reminders has easily been one of the most useful parts of using Xero for me. The level of customization is also really impressive. On top of that payment processing and financial reporting have both felt very smooth throughout.
Cons
The online invoicing works well overall but it still feels like it could be improved further. User permissions are also pretty limited right now and that's definitely an area that could be better.

“versatile accounting and billing”
Pros
One thing that stands out about this tool is how well it handles day to day financial operations. It helps organize accounting tasks and even supports banking procedures making it easier to record and manage the organization's financial processes. It's commonly used in accounting environments but its billing features make it useful far beyond that, without many limitations.
Cons
It works well across different types of companies and supports operations, calculations and more accurate recordkeeping. As for downsides, there really are not many to mention with this tool.

“helpful invoice reminders”
Pros
Keeping tabs on unpaid invoices is much less of a hassle because the system tracks them and sends reminders automatically which saves time that can be used on other work.
Cons

“transparent tools and handy filing”
Pros
This program is simple. Setup is quick and the interface is clear and easy to use. It is like someone designed it for real users, not just for accountants which makes daily tasks much easier. A strong community of accountants supports it which adds confidence. Depending on your plan, you can file taxes and payroll directly with IRD. The recurring billing feature also helps ensure payments go out on time without extra work.
Cons
Support is limited to online help so there is no phone support when you need direct assistance. A number of important topics are not explained well enough in the how-to guides either, such as best practices for paying dividends. The subscription is also a bit expensive and the software is not available on the Windows platform.
