“paperless receipts and quick onboarding”
Pros
Getting the team comfortable with the software was pretty easy and the onboarding process went very smoothly. It also removes the need to keep physical receipts around which is a big plus.
Cons
The price of the service is really the only downside, aside from a few users who felt parts of it were a bit confusing.

“accurate budget forecasting”
Pros
Among the accounting platforms I have used, this one has been the best and I especially loved the budget forecasting feature. It delivers accurate budget forecasts and the rest of the features are good as well.
Cons
It would be even better if the expense claim and data export features were updated since that would make the app more convenient for users.

“better invoicing flexibility”
Pros
There's a lot more variety and control over how we invoice customers and what we include which has been really good.
Cons
One downside is that it doesn't offer as many integrations as platforms like Stripe.

“powerful integrations and clean interface”
Pros
Right from the start the interface seems user friendly so it's simple for both accountants and business owners to stay on top of finances and manage everything without much hassle. It also connects well with a wide range of third-party tools and services, including CRM systems, payroll platforms and payment gateways. On top of the core accounting features, Xero offers additional services like payroll processing, project management and inventory management. It's also reassuring to see that the company operates in more than 180 countries and serves over two million customers worldwide.
Cons
The pricing feels a little high for us and the customization options are fairly limited.

“clean dashboard for startups”
Pros
Its interface is very user friendly and never seems intimidating which is a big plus when you do not come from an accounting background. As a startup founder wearing multiple hats, I need something that helps me stay on top of bookkeeping without adding more stress and Xero does that really well. The dashboard also gives a clear view of how the business is doing and makes it easier to keep track of our runway.
Cons
I have a positive view of the product, with payroll being the only real downside. It does not include native payroll support and instead depends on a Gusto integration. Gusto works well but for an early-stage startup that is just getting going, it can feel a bit too expensive.

“excellent invoicing and reporting”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate about Xero is its excellent invoicing feature which lets you create professional, practical invoices and send them out without any hassle. It also does a very good job with bookkeeping making it possible to store financial documents, files, contracts, bills and receipts in an organized way so everything is easy to find when needed. The reporting feature is also very effective since it generates accurate accounting reports that give clear insight into all financial activities. By reviewing those reports, it becomes much easier to understand business cash flow, overall financial health and key performance metrics. On top of that the customer support has been very helpful and the team consistently provides professional assistance.
Cons
there is nothing I dislike about it. Every feature has been useful and helpful and I am completely satisfied with the software.

“Decent interface”
Pros
Xero is incredibly user friendly for handling accounting tasks. The interface is powerful, clean and simple so getting to the features we need and actually using them is very easy. Its bookkeeping tools have been especially impressive making it simple to collect organize and securely store financial records and receipts all in one accessible place. The expense tracking is also very effective, letting you monitor bills, keep up with accounts payable and maintain a clear picture of cash flow. Another big advantage is how well it connects with payment platforms like Stripe which makes accepting online payments much more convenient. On top of that it generates accurate financial reports that give a decent view of the overall financial health of the business.
Cons
it has performed really well for both me and my team. I genuinely do not have any complaints about it or anything negative to point out.

“Good for expense tracking”
Pros
Accounting software is usually pretty dull but Xero doesn't seem that way at all. It's very user friendly and I have mainly been using it to claim expenses. For that, it has been excellent.
Cons
At times the speed can be an issue so that's one area that could definitely be improved.

“versatile and simple accounting tool”
Pros
Even with all the functionality it offers, the platform is still quite easy to work with especially for the core tasks. It's clearly built so business owners, accountants and bookkeepers can all use it together without much friction.
Cons
The invoicing side could use an extra field for adding text, a location or even a date. It's not a huge problem but having those dedicated fields would be helpful. The bigger annoyance is the automatic reminder emails going out before the system updates the latest payments received or made. We often get messages from clients upset about reminders sent very early in the morning, even though they had already paid the day before.

“affordable and time-saving accounting”
Pros
Having Xero on both desktop and mobile makes it really convenient to use and the interface is very user friendly. It helps us cut costs since many other cloud-based accounting tools are far more expensive and it also includes time-saving features that businesses genuinely need.
Cons
Even though it is more affordable than many other cloud-based accounting software options, it can still feel expensive for some users. Also

“powerful integrations that save time”
Pros
Xero's integrations are easily the standout feature. They save a lot of time and make the platform useful for far more than just basic accounting tasks.
Cons
One issue that comes up pretty often is the bank feed connection dropping. That said it seems like the problem may be on the banks side so there may not be much the tool can really do to prevent it.

Pros
One of the biggest advantages of Xero is its strong accounting functionality which helps businesses handle their finances efficiently. It comes with a wide set of tools such as invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and other essential accounting features.

“reliable accounting with strong integrations”
Pros
At its core Xero delivers on what it's supposed to do and it handles the job well. We are able to use it alongside our accountant without any issues which makes day to day accounting much more practical. Since it's one of the leading platforms in the market, it also integrates with a wide range of other systems and tools so pairing it with our project management software has been easy.
Cons
That said the platform feels dull and outdated. It doesn't seem like much is being invested in improving the product, rolling out new features or showing any clear roadmap for where it's heading. The biggest frustration is the extra-cost expense claim module which is genuinely unpleasant to use. There's no proper way to organise the expenses you've entered so if they aren't added in the exact order of the dates they were spent, it becomes extremely difficult to confirm that everything has been captured or reconciled against a card statement. It feels like a very basic issue that should be simple to fix.
