simple setup and broad integrations

Pros

Connecting Xero with many different programs was easy and the setup process was simple even for someone without a finance background.

Cons

I really didn't run into any issues as it was easy to start using and just as simple to keep everything running.

fine for smaller billing

Pros

It is easy to use for basic billing and once you understand the essentials, it works well enough. I'd continue using it as long as the business stays on the smaller side and the scale doesn't get too large.

Cons

As the business expands though I can see it becoming difficult to manage. If you're dealing with more than 500 customers, handling everything in the tool would likely start to feel challenging.

flexible access and smart integrations

Pros

Being able to access Xero from anywhere is a big plus since I can manage my accounts whether I am in the office, at home or out and about. It also integrates with a wide variety of business tools like POS systems, payroll software and e-commerce platforms which helps keep workflows organized and efficient. On top of that the interface is very user friendly, with a simple layout and useful features like automatic expense categorization.

Cons

Its inventory management capabilities are fairly limited when compared with software that is built specifically for inventory control. Pricing is another downside, as it tends to be more expensive than some competing alternatives.

Real time tracking win

Pros

Running the business is much more manageable with Xero thanks to its user friendly interface, smooth integration with other business tools, real-time financial tracking, automated billing, flexibility for small and medium-sized businesses and excellent customer support.

Cons

It does have some drawbacks including limited features for larger businesses, extra costs to unlock advanced functionality

helpful reporting and downloads

Pros

Generating financial reports such as P&Ls and balance sheets is much more organized with Xero. The platform is user friendly and it also offers a broad selection of reports that can be downloaded whenever needed.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is the workflow in Projects. When a quote or invoice is created, it would be better if the number were automatically added to the name and it would be far more convenient if quotes and invoices could be linked to projects right away instead of requiring manual steps.

Tool that delivers

Pros

Everything seems very user friendly and sending invoices as well as keeping track of them is incredibly easy.

Cons

It can take a fair bit of time when you need to create several invoices, such as for part payments.

Getting around Xero is very easy, it runs reliably and it's accessible whether someone has a basic understanding of accounting or more experience.

perfect fit for small business

Pros

Out of all the accounting tools I have tried, this one has been the simplest to use so far. It works really well for small businesses too since it lets you handle invoicing, bank reconciliation, purchases, inventory, expenses and more all in one place.

powerful cloud accounting toolkit

Pros

Having accounting software in the cloud makes a big difference because I can log in from anywhere as long as I have internet. The interface is user friendly so getting around the system is not a hassle. Plus it covers a lot of what I need, including bank reconciliation, invoicing, budgeting and reporting which makes day to day financial management much more convenient. I also like how well it integrates with different third-party apps since that lets me keep everything organized in one place. On top of that the customer support is amazing and the tutorials and FAQs are genuinely helpful when questions come up.

Cons

The pricing can get expensive depending on which plan you need. It also may not be the best fit for businesses that need more advanced or complex accounting capabilities. At times the platform can feel a bit slow especially when moving between tasks and that lag can be frustrating. The mobile app is useful but it does not include as many features as the desktop version.

Pros

One thing that really stands out with Xero is how many reporting tools and report customization options it gives you. The mobile app is also very useful so I can keep up with things when I am away from my desk. Another big plus is the huge app ecosystem since it supports well over a thousand integrations. There's no free plan but for cloud-based accounting software, it's still one of the more affordable options available.

Cons

A downside is that it doesn't offer a customer support phone number and there's no live chat support either.

user friendly accounting setup

Pros

This software was very user friendly. Even without any accounting experience, I was able to understand how it works and navigate through it without much trouble.

Cons

A few functions feel like they're missing such as being unable to change the bank account linked to an invoice after it's already been created. The reconciliation process also seems less user friendly once it's connected to a bank account since every single transaction has to be reconciled individually which takes more effort than grouping receivables together.

Pretty easy to setup

Pros

I was able to use it without much of a hassle as it didn't take long to learn how everything worked. The system is very user friendly overall and the interface is easy to navigate.

Cons

It's difficult to point out any real downsides since I haven't used all of its features yet. My role is more operations-focused so I mainly use it for reporting.

Reliable solution overall

Pros

Everything seems user friendly and easy to use. It even makes reconciliation enjoyable which is not something I expected. The whole setup is logical, simple and very user friendly.

Cons
