Pros
Right away the Xero interface left a really strong impression on me. The project management module, in particular, worked really well and stood out as one of the best parts of the platform. The pricing feels very reasonable especially considering it includes plenty of features that I haven't even seen in some more expensive options.
Cons
The purchase reports were a bit different from what I was expecting at first although I was able to find a workaround. I do wish there were more flexibility to customize reports through a built-in report builder.

“admin tasks made simple”
Pros
Handling all of the business admin means I need software that's easy to use and Xero has been exactly that. Even with very little training and mostly figuring things out as I went, it was still relatively simple to learn and work with.
Cons
Payroll was the only part that gave me trouble at first but once I integrated it with ClockShark, that process became much more manageable.

Pros
Running my business tasks with this software has been really convenient. It's very useful and simple to use and since it's cloud-based I can handle accounting, invoicing and billing online from anywhere at any time. I genuinely love this product because it supports small to medium-sized businesses with daily work and makes things a lot better overall. Thank you!
Cons
Honestly there's very little for me to complain about with this software. It offers a lot for business owners and really helps reduce the burden of everyday tasks and responsibilities. The only time it doesn't work properly is when there's an internet connection problem and that's not really an issue caused by the software itself. Overall I am happy using it through the cloud.

Pros
Compared to entering payroll figures directly into a PAYE system, Xero makes the whole process much easier and more logical.
Cons
At times the connection between this one and Nest Pensions has caused problems so I have ended up marking pensions as 'filed' manually instead of depending on the integration.

One feature that's been especially helpful is the Invoice menu. It's simple to use, quick to create client invoices with and it genuinely adds value to my business.
Cons
They could definitely improve the pricing and there are times when the app crashes and has to be reinstalled before I can get back into it.

Pros
Having everything for accounting in one place is exactly why I enjoy using Xero. I can create invoices directly in the platform, send them out from there and even handle client follow-ups without switching tools. Another really helpful feature is importing a file into Xero and having the invoice generated automatically. It makes the whole process very convenient.
Cons
At this point, I honestly cannot think of any downsides. It's very user friendly and simple to navigate throughout the software.

With a fairly simple and organized business model, Xero has been an ideal fit for handling bank reconciliations and automatically creating our monthly expense reports. A lot of other small business owners I know wait until month-end to understand how the company is doing but with Xero I can pull that report anytime with just a click and get an immediate view of performance.
Cons
Setting up new assets on the balance sheet felt more complicated than it should have been and the help documentation didn't explain the process very clearly. That said, once everything was configured, running depreciation became a quick one-click task.

Keeping track of expense records is much clearer with this software. It helps break down where the money is going, whether it's through billing statements, accounts payable, debits or credits so the more complicated parts of accounting feel easier to follow.
Cons
Getting familiar with the steps takes a lot of effort at first but it does pay off once you understand how to use it properly.

Right from the start Xero does a really good job of linking your ledger and recognizing bookkeeping categories almost instantly. Another big plus is that it's web-based so you can log in from anywhere, keep an eye on everything and stay on top of follow-ups.
Cons
It still needs some improvement on the product development side. You cannot customize purchase orders and it takes a bit of time to get used to.

Xero has been very user friendly and the AI features add a nice touch. It makes monitoring the business much simpler because the dashboard gives a clear snapshot of the most important figures. The range of integrations means there are very few limits to how it can be used and the pricing works well for most of our clients.
Cons
That said the Payroll module seems fairly confusing and we think there are better alternatives available. It would also be helpful to have stronger cash flow tools and some built-in forecasting features. On top of that making customer payments on account easier to post would make an already amazing product even better.

Honestly there's nothing here that worked for me. It feels like accounting software made for beginners and the whole experience comes across as if users aren't taken seriously.
Cons
Being treated like you don't matter is the worst part and even logging in feels nearly impossible. For something that's supposed to support our business, it ends up feeling frustrating and not worth it.

Xero software is easy to use because the platform is very user friendly. The mobile app is especially helpful for expense claims since I can take photos of receipts on my phone, upload them straight away into the system and submit them for reimbursement without any hassle.
Cons
Every now and then, the bank account connection stops working. That said, pressing the button to renew the connection usually fixes the issue and gets everything working again.
