It makes keeping all our accounting information organized much simpler. Tasks process quickly and the whole workflow seems fast and easy. It has made accounting feel far less complicated than before. Business owners and team members can collaborate easily and check progress in real time which is a huge plus. Honestly it is like one of the best options on the market.

Cons

Pricing is really the only drawback for me. The cost makes it hard for several people on my team to afford access. If they introduced plans geared toward young professionals, I am sure they would attract a lot more users.

I find with integration platform very easy to use. It gives small businesses or non-profits a fast, simple way to handle accounting. Also I like that it offers different usage levels so you can choose only the features you actually need.

It can come across as a bit too basic and importing historical data from Excel takes quite a bit of manual effort unless you're able to pay them to handle it for you.

The bank reconciliation area has been really useful especially for creating matches and reconciling transactions efficiently. Expense tracking and reimbursement are also features I have appreciated a lot and use regularly.

One thing I wasn't happy with is needing adviser access to use certain functions, such as moving transactions in bulk more easily after they've been processed. I'd also like to see the future cash flow management tools improved.

Running Xero has been a very positive experience because the platform is easy to use and consistently delivers strong results. As a digital accounting tool, it seems smart and well designed. The customer support team is reliable and the invoicing features are also dependable. I especially like how often the reporting is updated and how well it helps with managing daily tasks. It fits small businesses really well and, in the end, produces excellent results.

Cons

There are a few pricing plans available and while they are decent, they feel a bit more expensive compared to FreshBooks. Another downside is the lack of automatic follow-up for unpaid invoices. For a tool that focuses on automation, that gap hurts workflow because those reminders still have to be handled manually.

Right from the setup stage, Xero feels very approachable because it includes helpful tips and guidance along the way. The support team has been incredibly useful and the knowledge base consistently answers the questions I have. Since I am often out and about, the mobile app has been a huge benefit for recording expenses, sending invoices and even reconciling bank transactions while I am away from my desk. Because everything is cloud-based, I can access the software no matter where I am in the world. I am also gradually making my way through the Xero Central courses so I can learn everything possible about this excellent software.

I honestly haven't run into anything yet that seems missing or in need of improvement.

Every day I rely on this software to keep our accounts payable and accounts receivable accurate and it really makes things much more manageable. It's an excellent program and very user friendly to work with.

It's a complete all-in-one system and honestly I haven't been able to find anything wrong with it. It really is that good.

Xero is good and using it day to day is not a problem. The help guides cover most questions well enough and whenever I have needed extra support, the team has been consistently helpful.

With limited accounting knowledge, it's probably worth having an accountant or bookkeeper handle the initial setup so everything is configured properly from the start. At times connecting with external services can take a bit of extra help to get working although that's not necessarily down to the tool itself.

It is pretty much like the industry standard when it comes to accounting software. It's advanced and includes all the features I need.

The billing side is a little unusual and could be laid out in a more simpler manner.

Using it is very easy and the visual design is really appealing too. The dashboard can be customized nicely so it's simple to keep exactly the information you want in the places where you need it most.

The templates for invoices, quotes and similar documents are a bit confusing when you try to make changes to them.

Bank and credit card integrations, along with the automated rules, take a lot of the work out of accounting. I barely need to enter anything manually anymore.

I use it for my business and would really like to use it for a nonprofit as well but unfortunately it doesn't offer fund accounting for nonprofits.

The biggest plus with this accounting software was how powerful and fast it felt, along with being available on any mobile device and letting us import transactions directly from our bank accounts.
