Pros
One thing that really stands out is how well Xero connects with other programs and banking systems. The level of integration makes everything feel more connected and efficient in day to day use.
Cons

“Ideal for banking and VAT compliance”
Pros
The interface is very user friendly and easy to use. Its API integrates with most banking systems and includes all the core features I need. I am also able to connect digitally for VAT through HMRC which helps me stay compliant with government requirements.
Cons
There's not much to complain about although the login process could be simpler since I have to use my backup email address. That works fine but it would be more convenient if signing in were a bit simpler. I also don't make much use of the advanced accounting reports and I found the employee/payroll side a little tricky so some extra training would probably be needed to get the most out of those more advanced features.

Pros
Keeping track of invoices in Xero has been really useful and generating reports for clients is just as convenient. The software is also very user friendly which makes it pleasant to work with.

It does exactly what I need from an accounting platform and integrates with almost any tool without much hassle.
Cons
Because it ties into so many different platforms, troubleshooting can get a bit more involved depending on how your setup is built. Fixing invoicing problems sometimes means checking several different systems before finding the cause. I also think the reporting could be more detailed though for basic needs it still does the job well.

Pros
Xero's clean and simple interface made it possible for us to set up loans and mortgages either as bank accounts or as non-current liability accounts which gives us detailed visibility into payments, interest and principal amounts. That has been especially valuable for handling a high volume of loan transactions and making sure all financial records are entered correctly for tax filing and reporting. Another big advantage is that Xero automatically pulls transactions from our banks and credit cards so reconciling bank statements and loan activity against actual records is much faster and far less manual. It also works well for managing business credit cards and PayPal accounts which helps keep day to day financial operations running efficiently. The cloud-based setup is another major benefit since it lets us access our financial data and client debt reports from anywhere.
Cons
It has been very responsive to our needs and at this point we really have not come across anything about it that we dislike.

Pros
Using this for the past couple of years has been a really positive experience. The platform is very simple to work with and it includes everything needed to manage payroll properly. It has been consistently reliable and has worked really well for what I need.
Cons
The thing I wish was available from the start is a set of YouTube video tutorials for the initial setup. For someone new, the system can feel a bit tricky and complicated at first and it does take some time to fully understand all of the features.

Pros
I find it easy to use and the recurring invoicing works really well. The automatic payment reminders are a big help and having the option to use different invoice templates and headers makes everything feel more tailored and professional.
Cons
One downside is that invoices are sent from a generic email address and some companies end up rejecting them because of that.

Compared with the accounting software we used before, this one is much more user friendly. Being a cloud-based SaaS platform means we can access it from anywhere which has been really convenient. It also connects with a lot of third-party integrations which adds a lot of flexibility.
Cons
There are still two features missing that our previous system handled better such as a more detailed .csv export and stronger performance once we went beyond 100 employees.

One thing that really helps with Xero is how it automatically picks up matching payments which makes bank reconciliations much quicker to complete. Setting up suppliers is also not a problem, creating and paying invoices is hassle-free and it gives a clear way to track and manage all the activity in one place.
Cons
The layout has been updated several times lately and I do feel the way information is displayed could be simplified to make it easier to view.

It's pretty much the standard choice for a lot of people now. It keeps up with UK accounting regulations and it's also the system many accountants prefer to work with.
Cons
