“versatile features”
Pros
Comes with a broad selection of visualization tools, from charts and graphs to maps and tables. That variety makes it much easier to build engaging, informative reports and present insights in a clear, effective way.
Cons
When working with very large datasets, performance can become an issue. Refreshes may take longer and complex reports or dashboards can have slower load and response times.

“central data hub”
Pros
Having every kind of data brought into one platform is a big plus. The search function is also genuinely useful which is refreshing since search barely works properly in a lot of other software.

“easy to understand visual insights”
Pros
I like how it turns raw data into something you can actually see and understand. A lot of the time, huge amounts of information sit buried in spreadsheets and in the usual rows-and-columns layout, it is difficult to interpret or compare properly. Power BI makes a big difference by helping people visualize their data and clearly grasp the impact behind it.
Cons
One downside is the learning curve. It is one of those platforms with a lot packed into it so getting comfortable with everything can take time.

“Excellent Microsoft ecosystem fit”
Pros
Something that I really liked about it was how tightly it connects with the different Microsoft tools. The integrations across the Microsoft ecosystem felt smooth and made the overall workflow much more convenient.
Cons
The features on the dashboard don't offer much room for customization. Getting things to look or function the way I wanted often required workarounds or little "hacks." On top of that the tools and features for creating mobile reports and dashboards felt limited.

Pros
It has allowed me to build a lot of dashboards for tracking indicators in my career and work projects. It's also been very useful for analyzing how production lines are performing.

Pros
I used it to present an analysis after working with large volumes of data and I really appreciated the dashboard because it let me build clear, simple charts without much difficulty.
Cons
It's fairly expensive and it would be nice if there were lighter, more affordable pricing plans available.

“live dashboards that save time”
Pros
Lets you present data in an effective, live and visually appealing way. We connect multiple surveys to it and that saves us a huge amount of time compared with constantly managing large spreadsheets by hand.
Cons
The downside is that it can be pretty complicated to use and it's hard to learn if someone doesn't already have much experience with data or programming.

Pros
The outputs can be used almost immediately in reports or slide decks, with little to no extra work needed.

Pros
Power BI lets me present my data much more clearly with a wide range of visuals like charts, treemaps, graphs and KPIs which really helps when it comes to making the right decisions.
Cons

“great fit for microsoft stack”
Pros
Its flexibility is one of the biggest strengths for me. It can work with just about any type of data and the customization options let me shape reports and dashboards the way I need. On top of that it connects flawlessly with other Microsoft tools which makes the whole workflow feel very connected.
Cons
Only real limitation I've noticed is that I'd like to see broader compatibility with software outside the Microsoft ecosystem.

“Flexible features”
Pros
After relying on Excel for a while, we moved over to this because it offers more advanced capabilities and that switch has been really useful for us. The data cleaning is noticeably better, there are far more customization options available and a few integrations are much simpler to handle than they ever were in Excel.
Cons
Interface honestly isn't the strongest part especially when you compare it with tools like Tableau. Still, it does what we need it to do.

“KPI visibility”
Pros
A really great visualization tool. Across many companies I've worked with, having a clear way to align the organization around key KPIs is incredibly important and this platform offers a very appealing way to do that.
Cons
Since dashboards can be customized quite freely some organizations may end up tracking too many KPIs at once. My takeaway is the usual one: less is often more. It's better to stay focused on the 3 to 5 KPIs that truly move the business forward.
