Development with it is easy, the visuals are impressive and it works well for multiple integration needs.

Data sharing is somewhat limited and it doesn't handle large data sources as well as it should.

Pros

Dashboard building is easily one of the strongest parts of it. It includes the features needed to set up dashboard structures for multiple departments and the data can refresh in real time. The visual customization is solid as well, with plenty of chart options to choose from.

Cons

The embedding feature still feels like it needs work. At times, embedded charts take too long to load and when the dataset gets too large, it can occasionally crash.

Pros

It lets me bring together different databases and analyze them from a very statistical perspective which helps me get a lot of interactive and predictive results.

Cons

You do need to have an account to access the program.

This really stood out to us for how well it lets you visualize data.

Because of how complex it can be, getting the data to display exactly the way you need can often take a while and requires some research and guidance.

Using it has been one of the best experiences for our team especially because the AI tools help us analyze the business with a higher level of accuracy. That advantage has made the insights we get much more reliable. With the precise reports it provides, we have a clearer understanding of where the business is heading and can make better decisions to improve performance and outcomes.

Every feature available in it has been highly valuable and even better, the tools are simple to interact with and use.

Pros

The feature set is incredibly powerful and feels almost limitless. There's a wide range of dashboard options which makes it possible to build varied and highly detailed data visualizations. When you really know how to use it, it can also handle predictive analysis which is a major advantage for R&D teams as well as marketing departments. Another strong point is that you can create innovative dashboards quite simply by integrating a well-structured Excel file.

Cons

Loading times can be fairly long especially with an average internet connection. It's a heavy piece of software so using it takes some patience. That also applies to building reports and getting familiar with all the different features. There's definitely a learning and onboarding period required and for beginners, it is not the most accessible data visualization tool to start with.

Pros

Using this software has really made our work easier especially since my role requires calculating transport costs every day. With it, those calculations are automated which saves us a lot of time and helps us work more efficiently.

Cons

Calculations are not always accurate so sometimes the tasks have to be redone but overall it has saved us a lot of time.

Pros

Power BI gives us a lot of flexibility and it's very quick and simple to connect data sources and build reports.

Cons

Up to this point, I haven't had any negative experiences.

Compared to Excel, this lets you present data much more effectively and gives you far more customization options for how everything is displayed.

The split between Power BI and Power BI Desktop isn't especially practical.

One thing that really stands out is the quality of the visualizations. Being a Microsoft product, it connects well with Excel and SQL Server which makes things much more convenient. The dashboards are also very interactive and simple to follow so even someone without a technical background can use them comfortably without much trouble.

Cons

At times, there can be compatibility issues or performance slowdowns especially when dealing with large datasets or more complex data sources.

Being able to merge different datasets together inside the program was a really useful feature and something I appreciated a lot.

Pros

I like how well it supports collaboration. It lets users work together and share dashboards and data with others in several ways, including email social media and web publishing. The platform also does a solid job when it comes to protecting sensitive information. Along with managing access to data, reports and dashboards, it includes strong security features and even allows users to set up rules to help prevent data loss.

Cons

The limit on how much data it can take in. If I need to import files larger than 2GB, the free version is not enough and I have to upgrade to the paid plan. It can also become unstable and crash when handling very large datasets with complex measures which can make the whole experience stressful at times.

Pros

Works really well across the Microsoft ecosystem and the integration with tools like MS Excel is especially strong.

Cons

Microsoft products generally don't connect as smoothly with non Microsoft software.

Pros

Getting started with it has only been a bit of a trial run for me but I can already tell it's going to be very useful going forward.

At this point, I don't really have any negative feedback about Power BI.

Pros

One of the first things I appreciated about this is how budget friendly it is. On top of that the interface is very interactive which makes it easier to learn and improve at using it on my own. Another feature I really value is the regular updates that are released consistently. Its integration with Excel is also a big plus because it helps me generate automated reports.

Cons

With all of those features, it can be fairly demanding on the CPU so it often takes a while to open and load. The free version also comes with very limited data handling capacity.

This software is fast and efficient. It's a very useful tool for turning raw data into meaningful, useful charts.

It can run into issues when the data becomes very large and highly complex.

Building dashboards is easy and there's plenty of room to customize them based on what you need. It also connects well with a wide range of ERP systems which makes integration pretty convenient.

Cons

You need proper training as a new user when you're getting started with PBI. It takes a while before you really feel comfortable with it. Data importing can be slow and ends up taking more time than it should. It's also not simple to pull the data shown on the screen directly from PBI into Excel.

Pros

One thing that really works in its favor is how similar it looks and feels to other Microsoft Office products so the interface feels familiar right away.

Cons

Getting started still takes some time though because there's definitely a learning curve before you can take advantage of its full capabilities.

Some of the terminology it uses isnt always immediately obvious to me so when I get stuck on a step, I sometimes have to look it up online.
