“Solid features”
Pros
One thing that really helps with this is the huge user community so getting answers or guidance is usually pretty easy. The documentation is also well put together and the platform includes strong features that cover what you'd expect and need from a tool like Power BI.
Cons
At the same time, there are so many features that getting started from scratch can feel pretty overwhelming. The better subscription plans are also quite expensive for organizations and using it tends to keep you closely tied to the Microsoft ecosystem.

“Simple setup”
Pros
Getting it up and running was something I really appreciated and the simple design made the whole experience very pleasant.
Cons
It still needs to add a predictive analytics tool to make the platform more complete.

“easy to build dashboards”
Pros
It lets you build dashboards and present analysis results in a very clean, polished and professional way. The formatting tools available make a big difference and the program itself feels quite easy once you start using it. It also handles large volumes of data much better than Excel which tends to struggle with certain functions at that scale. Since it is built with business applications in mind, it is also very practical for collaboration when multiple people need to work on the same project. On top of that like other Microsoft products, it integrates really well with the rest of the ecosystem and its network effect is overall fairly solid.
Cons
While it is a fairly specialized tool and learning how to use it is neither quick nor particularly simple. Because of that, I do not think it is always worth learning unless you actually need it and it may make more sense to focus first on programs like Excel, where you can do a bit of everything while also getting used to Microsoft-style logic. Since it is a cloud-based application, it also depends heavily on having a stable internet connection. More advanced customization requires knowledge of more complex programming languages so overall its flexibility feels somewhat limited.

“quick Microsoft Office integration”
Pros
Very easy to use. The menus are clear and getting around the platform feels user friendly. It also connects really well with other programs in the Office suite which makes everything more convenient.
Cons
The part I'm less enthusiastic about is the limited level of customization which seems to be the trade off for keeping the tool so simple to use.

“Power BI transformed my KPIs”
Pros
These days, every KPI I track for work runs through Power BI. It has become the tool I rely on to manage and monitor all of that in one place.
Cons
Only real negative, in my opinion, is the steep learning curve. Since the app includes so many tools and options, it can take quite a while to learn how to use everything properly.

“a great experience”
Pros
After using it for more than three years, I really haven't run into any problems while building my work in it. One thing I enjoy is that working with it has also helped me learn along the way. I especially loved the first dashboard I created with it and the whole process was genuinely fun for me.
Cons
As mentioned, it has been a really excellent tool overall. The only thing I would ask for is better customer service.

“interactive dashboards”
Pros
Offers a broad selection of visualizations, including charts, graphs, maps and tables which makes it easier to present data in a clear and visually appealing way. The interactive dashboards are also really useful since users can filter information and explore the visuals more deeply.
Cons
One difficulty with it is handling complex data models or trying to combine data from several different sources.

“powerful analytics tool”
Pros
It's excellent. Honestly, it feels like a tool every company should consider adding to its HR management process. On top of that the free version works really well and is more than enough to get started.
Cons
The downside is that it can be difficult to learn if you're not already familiar with programming languages.

“Great for decision making”
Pros
Helps teams make data driven decisions by giving them quick access to insights and analysis. It also lets users build their own reports, dashboards and visualizations without having to depend on IT support or advanced technical skills.

“slow loading time”
Pros
Joining the reporting team right when this was rolled out was quite an experience. During the training, we were genuinely impressed by how quickly it could pull in data--big data included. With just a few clicks. It also offers plenty of dashboard views and can deliver the information we need even when looking back at data from previous months or years.
Cons
Our company started using Power BI for reporting and while it does provide a huge amount of information, the one problem we kept running into was the loading time. It can definitely handle large volumes of data but it often takes several minutes before everything fully loads.

“DAX makes analysis flexible”
Pros
Power BI's DAX language is really useful for building measures and calculated columns and it works well for users across different skill levels. It also makes complex calculations and data aggregations fairly easy to handle.
Cons
Even though it is very capable when it comes to advanced calculations, it can occasionally be slow to load or take a while to refresh data especially when dealing with large detailed models or more complex queries.

“impactful visual insights”
Pros
Something that makes this tool really valuable is how much it offers in one place: data analysis, data visualization, live data connections, importing from different sources and exporting into multiple file types. It also lets us build visuals with different chart styles and color options which is very useful when creating management dashboards that support important decision-making.
Cons
There is still a bit of training needed before using the tool comfortably. It can also take a long time to load when working with large volumes of data and that sometimes causes issues. On top of that connecting it to web-based or cloud-based services can be a little complicated. Even with that, I would still recommend it to anyone wanting to get familiar with a strong BI tool.

“broad range of data sources”
Pros
The interface is user friendly and welcoming which makes building reports and data visualizations much simpler. The drag and drop features also help speed up the design process quite a bit. Another strong point is its connectivity to multiple data sources. Power BI supports a wide range of connections so importing and integrating data from databases, web services and different applications is very convenient. On top of that the data visualization options are excellent, with charts, tables and interactive maps that make it much easier to present information in a clear and impactful way.
Cons
A less positive aspect is that some advanced analytics features require deeper knowledge of DAX formulas or query languages which can be challenging for users who are not very familiar with those concepts. real time data refresh can also take proper setup and it may affect performance especially when working with large volumes of data or more complex data sources.

“good for data visualization”
Pros
Working with it on a few data analysis projects alongside data engineers gave me a good sense of what it can do. It's a cloud-based service that lets us connect to web APIs, databases and different file sources for data analysis and visualization. Before analyzing anything, we first cleaned the data to remove noise, then moved on to transformation and modeling. Another plus is that there are plenty of tutorials available which makes it easier to learn and start using the tool.
Cons
Its complex and using it effectively requires a fairly strong technical background.

“Data sourcing simplified”
Pros
Pulling in data from different sources, whether it's another platform or just Excel files, is really simple. Within a few minutes, you can build strong visualizations with drag and drop and start getting useful insights from your data right away.
Cons
Advanced queries can get confusing at times since the tool uses two query languages side by side. On top of that customizing visuals to look polished and more client focused can be pretty tricky.
