Creating interactive visualizations with it feels simple enough which makes putting together projects much more manageable.

Cons

I got confused several times trying to build charts correctly. They would get misaligned pretty easily and it took some effort to make all the data display properly.

Its server performance is strong enough to handle heavy data loads without lag or system slowdowns. On top of that the accuracy of the analytics really helps support better and more reliable business decision making.

Honestly, I have not run into any problems with it. It stands out as one of the best business intelligence and analytics tools available today. The platform is highly dynamic, packed with features and useful in many different ways. It is versatile and stable enough to work well in almost any business environment. Integration with other dashboards and IT platforms also works very well and data can be pushed and pulled through Power BI quickly and accurately. Overall, I have experienced no real issues with it.

Set up was very simple and there's a huge amount of support available to keep learning along the way. The community is also very active, constantly helping newcomers and contributing to the tool's ongoing improvement.

Cons

A lot of the features that could really help a company take things to the next level are locked behind the paid version. Even so, the free version still offers a lot of power.

It's very easy for end users to find exactly what they need. Access can be restricted based on what each person should be able to see and the scheduled refreshes with the visible last updated time make the data status clear.

Cons

Refresh process takes around 10 to 15 minutes and updates only run on an hourly schedule.

Pros

When it comes to analyzing spreadsheets, it has been very versatile. My goal was to work with large amounts of data and turn them into attractive, dynamic visualizations and it delivered exactly that. I was also able to pull up older data within minutes and keep everything consistent whenever the Excel spreadsheet was updated.

Cons

One challenge is that it uses its own language which is different from Excel so I had to learn that first before I could really start manipulating the data effectively. That said, the interface itself is very clear and user friendly.

Mircosoft Power BI Desktop has been the best business intelligence and data analytics tool I've used for getting accurate, data driven insights that support business decisions. It lets us work with data from many different formats, analyze it thoroughly and build dashboards with much stronger row and column handling than Excel. The visualizations are also far more polished and varied. Whenever I run into trouble with DAX, the Power BI community articles are very helpful and the language itself is fairly easy to work with. Overall, it feels very user friendly and I would absolutely recommend it to any organization looking for a BI solution.

Cons

Creating custom infographics is not as fast or flexible as it is in Tableau. While it can connect directly to a PostgreSQL database, the Power BI service still does not allow that same direct PostgreSQL connection. On top of that the pricing really should come down significantly so smaller or less-resourced businesses can also take advantage of the platform and make full use of its features.

One of the strongest things about this program is how fast it connects to so many different data sources, from Excel files and databases to cloud platforms and online services. It can bring all that data together, process it and turn it into different kinds of visuals like interactive charts, graphs and dashboards.

Has a learning curve and can feel pretty overwhelming at the beginning especially if you're new to data analysis or visualization. There are a lot of features and tools built into the platform so it takes time and effort to really get comfortable using everything well.
