“Real-time insights at a click”

Pros

With just a click, we were able to view our data in real time and it was also flexible enough to manipulate the information however we needed.

Cons

Getting proper training was a challenge so it often felt like we had to figure out the software ourselves and learn how to make it work correctly without much support.

“Uncomplicated system”

Pros

It felt very simple and uncomplicated. Even without much background in analytics, I was still able to pull meaningful insights from our data that my company hadn't been able to uncover before across our marketing and sales platforms.

Cons

There honestly wasn't much to complain about. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that the visual design could look a bit more modern and visually appealing.

“Excellent drag-and-drop designer”

Pros

Using the drag-and-drop designer, I can put together attractive graphs in just a few minutes. Being able to combine its built-in visuals with Python or R also makes storytelling much better and helps tailor the dashboards to what different stakeholders need.

Cons

There have been times when reports didn't refresh overnight so I ended up having to trigger the dataflows manually.

Pros

A really good way to turn raw data into clear visuals. It makes it much easier to see what's working and what isn't across different areas of the business.

Cons

A few chart types don't look quite right unless you spend a lot of time adjusting them. The formatting process can be slow especially when you need something ready to go without much setup.

“Generates spreadsheets easily”

Pros

There's a lot this platform can do and that's probably the part I appreciate most. My company uses it really well to pull together internal data and it makes getting the information I need much more manageable. In just a few steps, I can create spreadsheets with the exact data I'm looking for which helps me stay on top of my daily work efficiently.

Cons

Because it can be customized to handle such a large amount of information, processing can occasionally be slower than expected. For instance, when I need to run a report across 15 different entities with a high volume of data, I usually have to generate smaller reports for each one and combine them afterward instead of pulling everything into one report at the same time. It does add extra steps but even with that, it's still a very valuable tool to have.

Pros

Power BI comes with a very user-friendly drag-and-drop interface which makes building interactive reports and dashboards simple for users at any skill level.

Cons

The licensing structure can be somewhat confusing especially for new users who are trying to figure out the differences between Free, Pro and Premium.

“Works well with other programs”

Pros

It works smoothly with the rest of the Microsoft apps I already use but it's definitely not limited to the Microsoft ecosystem. There's also a pretty extensive library of prebuilt connectors available which makes it flexible for connecting to all kinds of other tools.

Cons

Most users usually need a Pro license to use it, including end users who are only viewing a dashboard or report that someone else created.

“Simple yet powerful”

Pros

Great how user-friendly it feels while still offering strong business analytics capabilities. It keeps getting better over time and the way it connects with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem adds a lot of value.

Cons

The DAX language can still be challenging to work with. There are also some limitations with certain visuals that are not fully editable and published reports do not always pick up backend Power BI Desktop changes automatically unless they are republished.

“Great at creating charts”

Pros

Creating charts and diagrams for presentations is where this software really shines. It's been very helpful for putting together visuals that look clear and professional.

Cons

One part that can be tricky is figuring out how to load the data properly and modify the pre-set formulas the way you need.

There's a huge range of ways to use it for reporting and tracking which makes it useful across all kinds of needs.

Cons

At times it can feel overwhelming and not the easiest to navigate and the UI could definitely use some refinement.

A few months into using it, we're already putting reports together pretty quickly and it's been really helpful for getting a clear view of what's happening across different teams.

Cons

Customizing visuals or positioning things exactly the way we want can be a bit frustrating. It feels somewhat limited at times although the core features we rely on do work well.

Pros

Once we linked it to a few of our sales tools, the dashboards started refreshing automatically which saves us from constantly checking everything by hand.

Cons

Getting the reports configured properly does take some time at first and every now and then the filters behave a little strangely.

“All in one solution”

Pros

Between cloud apps, on-premise databases and Excel files, everything connects really well in one place. It's also helped me create stronger dashboards that keep me updated with the actual state of operations across different departments at all times.

Cons

I've noticed that performance tends to slow down during peak usage periods, when reports can take longer to load and that gets in the way of timely analysis.

“Solid tool overall”

Pros

Once you get beyond the somewhat awkward interface, it's a really solid tool. I put together a dashboard to monitor job delays and keep an eye on how the budget is performing.

Cons

Takes time to get used to it. It took a few evenings to figure things out and I still haven't learned everything, just enough at this point to use it effectively.

Pros

The interface feels polished and the charts look visually appealing when presenting data analysis. It also does a really good job pulling in data from multiple sources and the project view stays well organized which makes it easier to structure everything clearly.

Cons

I'd still like to see more graph customization options and a wider variety of chart types. DAX can take some time to learn and it would be even better if there were more built-in predictive modeling and regression features to support deeper analysis and forecasting.

“Pulls data from a wide range of sources”

Pros

Something that really stands out is how fast and interactive the data visualizations are, along with the flexibility to pull data from a wide range of different sources.

Cons

At times it does lag especially while sharing the screen during an MS Teams call. Aside from that, I'm happy with the rest of the features.

Pros

Getting it up and running was one of the biggest advantages for me. It connects really well with multiple data sources like Excel, CRM systems and web analytics so pulling everything together and analyzing cross-platform data doesn't require a complicated setup. The interface looks polished and feels user-friendly which makes it simple to move around the platform and create interactive dashboards with real-time visualizations for tracking campaign results, sales patterns and customer behavior quickly. The reporting is also highly customizable which helps a lot when I need to adjust insights for different audiences, whether that's an internal strategy session with the team or a client presentation. On top of that, the AI-driven insights, strong analytics and forecasting features do a very good job of turning raw information into practical actions that support sales and marketing outcomes especially considering the price. Security is another strong point, with end-to-end encryption and role-based access controls that help keep sales, marketing, customer and other business data protected.

Cons

That said, there is a learning curve at the beginning especially when dealing with more complex datasets. A few of the more advanced features are locked behind the premium plan which can be expensive for smaller teams. I've also noticed that performance can dip and the platform may slow down when working with very large datasets or highly detailed visualizations.

Cons

Getting comfortable with DAX does take some time although tools like ChatGPT or Copilot can make that learning process much easier.

Right from the first look, the interface caught our attention. It feels very user-friendly and makes it simple for us to access and use all the other features without any hassle. The AI-powered data analytics tools help us uncover important insights from our data quickly and effectively. It also comes with collaboration features that let our team work together while exploring data. On top of that, the visualization tools make it possible to build clear dashboards with charts and graphs which helps a lot when presenting the insights we've gathered.

Things have been going really well with this software and at this point, we honestly do not have any downsides to mention.

The visualization capabilities have been outstanding, making it simple to explore the data and clearly understand the insights being generated. The reporting tools are just as impressive, giving us the flexibility to build customized reports based on those insights. Another big advantage is the advanced security features which let us handle business data with confidence without exposing it to potential threats. On top of that, its data analysis algorithms make deep analytics possible and very effective for our needs.

Up to this point, we really haven't run into any issues with it so there hasn't been anything to dislike.
