“simple open source video meetings”
Pros
It's a easy open-source solution for video meetings. I like that platform is simple to use and doesn't make things complicated.
Cons
It does have limits when it comes to the number of participants. It's advertised as supporting up to 75 people but in reality it works better with fewer than that.

“Powerful conferencing alternative”
Pros
A really interesting alternative to the usual video conferencing and team meeting platforms. It works fully as expected and feels like a complete solution to me.
Cons
Setting it up for self-hosting isn't the most simple part but it's still a very great option. With a tool like this, it helps to already know exactly what you need.

“frequent bugs and connection errors made it frustrating”
Pros
It's a fairly basic video conferencing tool overall but it covers the essentials well. I can make video calls, share your screen and use the chat without any unnecessary extras.
Cons
Unfortunately, we ran into a lot of problems on our side, with frequent bugs such as connection errors for clients and cases where people either couldn't hear others or weren't heard themselves. Because of that, using it was often very frustrating and complicated.

“practical sharing and great privacy”
Pros
It's practical to use and the sharing feature is easy to understand. I do not mind that it usually has very few bugs with sharing or browser compatibility. On top of that, it's free and feels secure when it comes to data privacy.
Cons
There's really no need for the browser incompatibility message recommending Chrome since it works well with Firefox and Edge too.

“convenient screen sharing...”
Pros
One thing that really stands out is the screen sharing. It lets me share my screen conveniently and without any hassle or strain.

The screen recording feature could be better. It tends to glitch from time to time.

“reliable conferencing with rich features”
Pros
Having an open-source video conferencing tool is a big plus and I think this one delivers a secure, dependable and user-friendly platform. The interface looks good, feels simple and doesn't take me long to learn or move around in. It also comes packed with useful features like audio and video conferencing, file sharing, whiteboarding and even webinar support. Another strong point for me is its scalability since it can handle a large number of participants without being limited to smaller meetings.
Cons
One downside is that the software can be somewhat slow when loading. Setting it up can also be challenging especially without prior experience. On top of that, troubleshooting problems isn't always easy which can make issue resolution a bit frustrating.

“free calls without limits”
Pros
Honestly the biggest advantage for me is how incredibly simple it is to use and on top of that, it's free. Unlike Zoom, I don't have to worry about a time limit on meetings. I also don't have to download any software at all and I don't even need to create an account. It feels almost suspiciously simple, like there must be a catch but there really isn't.
Cons
It does come with fewer advanced features than some competing platforms. It also tends to slow down when a lot of people are connected at the same time. If you only need it for quick meetings or video calls with a small number of users though, it probably won't be an issue.

“perfect for daily standups”
Pros
We use it to communicate within our department especially for daily standups and I think it works really well for that. It's very simple to use and doesn't take much effort for me to handle.
Cons
When it comes to larger meetings or video calls with a lot of participants, the system starts to struggle and feels overwhelmed.

“Perfect tool”
Pros
I've been using it for quite a while now and I find it honestly excellent. It's very simple to use, even for people who aren't familiar with videoconferencing software.
Cons
The only downside is that even a small drop in bandwidth can make it freeze and then you have to log in again from the beginning.

“simple setup but occasional bugs”
Pros
Getting it up and running is easy since it always follows the same process to start and use. I find the settings are also simple to understand.
Cons
It does glitch from time to time. When that happens, you have to close and reopen it to get it working again or sometimes restart the computer.

“Polished interface with standard features”
Pros
It offers the same features I'd expect from other tools in this category but I think the interface felt a bit more polished than the alternatives.
Cons
When we started using it, scheduling meetings tied to tools like Google Calendar felt a little more complicated than it should have been.

“helpful video quality controls”
Pros
We've really liked the interface and I find the option to reduce video quality very useful. It makes connecting easier for me and helps avoid using too much data.
Cons
Like other apps in this category, it tends to run into connection issues when the groups are large.

“too many meeting bugs”
Pros
It's an open-source solution that covers almost everything I need, presentations, screen sharing, video meetings, audio calls and chat.
Cons
There are a lot of bugs though sometimes certain users can't hear others some people can't see us, screen sharing crashes and a few useful options are still missing, like being able to mute another participant.

“free and awesome for groups”
Pros
Being free is a huge plus and I think overall the platform is really impressive. It does go down now and then so I wouldn't rely on it as my only option for a very important meeting but for large group sessions in certain situations it works really well, totally free, dependable enough and simple to use.
Cons
Hosting controls are pretty limited. You can't really manage other participants properly in a room and once you leave, you also lose any control over your own room. On top of that, anyone can use your company name and open a public room which is definitely not something I'm comfortable with. Because of that, we only use it from time to time.

“Browser calls made simple”
Pros

“flexible meetings with handy features”
Pros
Getting started with it is very easy for me since the URL is simply the room name. The feature set is on par with other common video conferencing tools, including options like virtual backgrounds and breakout rooms. I don't need to install anything although smartphone and desktop apps are available if I use it more often.
Cons
Its development may have started in Europe but it was later acquired by 8x8 in the US and the service runs on AWS infrastructure. On top of that, external services such as Google Analytics and CallStats are enabled and process IP addresses. Because of this, the meet.jit.si service is not GDPR compliant.

“Fantastic free conferencing powerhouse”
Pros
Compared with most video conferencing platforms that charge a premium even for basic functions, I think this open-source option gives me a full set of advanced features completely free. Starting a meeting is quick for me since there's no need to create an account, I just enter a meeting name and it instantly generates a shareable link for everyone else to join. The audio and video quality are both high definition which makes calls feel polished and reliable. I also find it works well for embedding into different platforms or integrating with other software. The interface looks clean and the large community around it is reassuring whenever I find any issue. On top of that, it includes a strong list of features I use like live screen sharing, public and private chat, security settings, noise suppression, audio/video sharing, live streaming and more.
Cons
A few limitations do stand out though. There's a cap of 100 participants so it's not ideal for organizations that need to host conferences with more than 100 attendees. Since meetings can be started without requiring an account, random people can sometimes get in if the host forgets to add a password. Another issue is that when End-to-End Encryption is enabled, the voices of all participants can occasionally start breaking up.

“better data use but weak calls”
Pros
Other than doing a better job with data consumption, I really can't find much else to appreciate.
Cons
