I have had a good experience with Cartegraph.

One of the advantages of this software is its adaptability, letting users tailor it to their specific requirements. This customization feature is extremely beneficial.

Cons

Crafting reports can be daunting for beginners and might demand substantial programming knowledge, making the process difficult and not intuitive for novices.

Love Cartegraph. Easy to Use At All Levels!!!
Pros

I love being able to stay mobile at all times using any tablet or smartphone, whether Android or Apple. I can easily look up past jobs and find exact cost figures for future events, jobs, and contracts. It's a great tool for storing assets for inventory and historical values.

Cons

The software is straightforward for administrators but requires a team for operation. Initial setup is labor-intensive, but it runs smoothly afterward.

Cartegraph Review
Pros

Although the product is initially complex due to its many components, once you grasp them, it becomes easier and more advantageous. I appreciate the software's ability to set triggers through automations, although creating them can be tricky. The asset component is very useful for tracking tasks and maintenance.

Cons

The biggest frustration is the integration with our public-facing work order software, Accela. The programs don't communicate well, causing many glitches and data loss.

A place for everything
Pros

The ease of use in the field is fantastic. Being able to document work as it's done is great. Eliminating printed documents from the workflow has made record-keeping more accurate and accessible. Using Cartegraph, we've streamlined our workflows and reduced response times to citizen concerns.

Cons

As a Cartegraph Administrator in training, I found support emails to be helpful and accurate but slow. Additionally, using Cartegraph Campus only yields accurate results about half the time.

City of Helotes
Pros

I like the scenario builder add-on and the see-click-fix features. The asset management and workflow features have been extremely beneficial for the city.

Cons

Getting the scenario builder to work as desired can be tricky. Setting the different appreciation impacts correctly so the system can distinguish between maintenance activities is complicated.

I didn't start out with Cartegraph, but I got here as soon as I could!
Pros

I consistently value the broad utility of the Structure, Automation, and Asset Condition Managers. From defining our own effects on assets' depreciation curves to managing our attribute structures, every aspect of Cartegraph is tailored for optimum adaptability and effectiveness. Even basic functionalities like customizable asset detail layouts are carefully crafted and essential for maintaining data integrity and user experiences.

Cons

I don't have any major complaints. The only issue is that the Reporting module is somewhat complex and may not be fully utilized by all users. However, a skilled administrator can handle this, and the benefits of consistent data sharing between departments outweigh this drawback. Once created, comprehensive reports can serve various users and save significant time.

Flexible Software That Provides Thorough Data
Pros

Cartegraph has shown great flexibility in making the software work for our needs. Since not every company operates the same, it's helpful that Cartegraph allows us to discuss and implement other options that better meet our tracking needs. These options enable us to input more detailed data for reports.

Cons

Most of my users can't create their own reports due to the complexity involved.

Excellent GIS-integrated Work Management Platform
Pros

Cartegraph continually enhances its mobile and web-based software based on community feedback, and their support is excellent.

Cons

Cartegraph is integrated with GIS but isn't as GIS-centric as it could be. Storing more data directly in GIS and allowing collection and manipulation from the GIS side would be a useful enhancement.

CARTEGRAPH REVIEW
Pros

There are so many things I like about this software that it's hard to choose a favorite. If I had to pick, I'd say using tools like the record filter or automation manager to simplify data entry for field crews is my favorite.

Cons

Reporting can sometimes be somewhat intricate and feels like a "trial and error process," but it gets easier over time.

CG Review
Pros

Information is centralized and easy to access. The mobile platform is intuitive. Asset collection is straightforward and can be linked to GIS effortlessly. They release new versions with customer suggestions from the Ideas page about four times a year. The customer success team has been immensely helpful post-implementation. The support team is phenomenal, resolving cases quickly. The pre-built parks domain with playground inspections is very useful and easy to use out of the box. We heavily use the Trees domain for tracking and maintenance.

Cons

The system is customizable but can be overdone if not careful. It can't handle financials but can integrate with many systems.

Mobile platform is good, some features are missing
Pros

The software is accessible on the iPad and other mobile devices, which helps track all completed work from the field. Maintenance crew assignments are readily accessible in the field, and tasks are instantly received from supervisors and administrators. The dashboard and reports help us monitor our progress on short-term and long-term targets.

Cons

When selecting multiple tasks to review, each must be opened individually. It would be helpful to have forward/back buttons to move to the next/previous task on the same page. Not being able to switch asset types in a given task is problematic, especially when a task needs to be reassigned from a curb asset to a sidewalk asset.

Cartegraph Use at City of Pittsburgh
Pros

It's hard to pinpoint my favorite aspect of Cartegraph since we use it for so much at the City of Pittsburgh. As an administrator, one of the biggest benefits is the flexibility and customization that Cartegraph offers, allowing us to use the system to its full potential to meet our needs. Custom fields, automations, and data visualizations have been extremely helpful. The intuitive user interface for desktop and mobile users allows us to capture detailed information about costs, conditions, and work performed on our city's assets and amenities.

Cons

Cartegraph allows for extensive customization, and we've developed many custom processes and workflows, including a detailed inventory system. While it works well for standard inventory processes, with some adjustments, it could function more like a POS system, which would better suit our warehousing and supply request processes.

Decisions don't happen without good data
Pros

One of the main reasons we chose Cartegraph was its ease of use for field staff. Success with asset management starts with good data in the field, and clean data allows administrators to evaluate programs and changes successfully. Cartegraph has always been supportive, and their customer service is top-notch. Now that we've been using it for several years, the automations are proving extremely valuable as our next steps in the software environment.

Cons

Cartegraph can be adapted to any process, but this requires a lead admin to ensure consistency across departments. This is likely true for any asset management software, as it won't run itself.

Cartegraph Is The Best Asset Management Software
Pros

The features are customizable and easy to navigate. The software integrates seamlessly with existing systems. Automation allows us to streamline workflows. The Scenario Builder feature helps us create data-driven budgets and capital plans. The software effectively manages infrastructure assets, deploys resources efficiently, and increases productivity.

Cons

I appreciate everything about this software. There's nothing I dislike.

Asset & Operations Management made easy and, dare I say, fun
Pros

Cartegraph OMS comes with out-of-the-box setups for asset, task, request, and resource management, but it can also be easily customized. The software offers individualized or grouped format setups, custom asset degradation and MR&R protocols, data entry checks, and much more. The Automation Manager is my favorite feature, allowing us to set up automated workflow processes through triggers followed by actions to create a more effective, accurate, and efficient system.

Cons

The Cartegraph Team frequently takes suggestions through their Ideas Portal and works on system improvements. New updates are released at least twice a year, often quarterly.

Endless Possibilities
Pros

The software is easy to use. We built, managed, and tracked all work for Village-owned assets. The mobile solutions are straightforward and allow real-time data tracking. The reporting and dashboard features are excellent for transforming raw data into customizable and usable depictions of work performed. The numerous compatible integrations allow other software packages to work well within Cartegraph. The utility locating integration was a great example of this. The customer service is exceptional; the help center resolves problems via screen share or by building reports for us. Training is always available and well-done.

Cons

The Fleet module is limited out of the box. It required adjustments to meet our needs, and even then, it wasn't accessible through the mobile solutions.

Cartegraph and Trees
Pros

Quickly finding information is crucial in local governments. The report functions are highly customizable to specific needs. Collecting data for daily activities is straightforward. Integrating with our daily processes was not difficult, though we had to adapt to some new terminology. Using this as a tree inventory is outstanding and highly adaptable. We track inspections and Tree Risk Assessment information for each tree and plan future work for in-house and contracted staff with ease. The possibilities for data collection are endless.

Cons

The Fleet Management aspect of this program is challenging and differs from what Fleet technicians are used to. Reporting is highly customizable but can be cumbersome depending on the depth of information needed.

Easy to use, flexible and GIS based maintenance and operations management system
Pros

Cartegraph OMS is one of the most intuitive CMMS/Service request/work order systems available. Its seamless integration with GIS data is a huge advantage. The Cartegraph One app is easy to use in the field and now allows for offline editing where cell coverage is spotty. The support staff is very helpful and genuinely cares about solving problems. Overall, Cartegraph is a great company to work with, offering a system that's easy to administer, configure, and integrate with other systems.

Cons

If you're looking for a system that meets all asset management needs and primarily work with vertical assets in a 3D environment, you might not find everything you need. A new integration enhances vertical asset management, but it's not out-of-the-box.
