Update of previous review.

Pros

I've relied on Maintimizer for years to manage parts, and its search function remains unparalleled. Previously, I had issues with part deletion, but recent software updates have resolved this. Compared to other products, Maintimizer's search tool excels. Despite complaints about too many fields, I find it advantageous. Often, using just a portion of one field yields quick results. Precision during part entry pays off, especially when dealing with poorly labeled items.

Cons

I don't have any significant complaints except maybe about the manual, although I'm sure it's been updated since I last used it. This software offers extensive capabilities, and a more detailed manual would have expedited our utilization. From my experience with inventory management, any issues typically arise from user errors rather than flaws in the software. Consistency and thoroughness in data entry pay off in the long term.

Maintimizer Needs Better Flow

Pros

I value the equipment arrangement feature and the option to generate personalized inquiries.

Cons

There are several features that I find lacking, particularly the inability to detach rooms or areas from the system. Navigating through eight different pages to access a PM or a work order seems illogical, especially when other systems manage this on a single page. It's challenging to navigate and address issues like reprinting PMs if a batch is accidentally deleted before printing. Support hasn't been able to resolve these issues effectively.

Easy to use

Pros

Comprehensive training and ongoing support were pivotal to our successful adoption of the product. Having the trainer onsite for several days helped users become comfortable with the software, leading to widespread acceptance. The product facilitated cross-shift communication and allowed all users to track repair statuses, which was invaluable for our 24/7 facility.

Cons

The only issue we encountered was the inability to integrate MaintiMizer with our lockout tagout program.

MAINTIMIZER

Pros

It offers user-friendly options for training.

Cons

After updates, it seems to have numerous bugs. Features that previously worked now malfunction, while some don't work at all. Issues like the low stock report not capturing items not on order and limitations with the ABC report have been persistent. Custom reports are costly and come with uncertain delivery timelines.

Menasha Facility Usage of MaintiMizer in CMMS, replaces MP2 in 2019

Pros

Other users on our internal Ethernet network can easily access it. VPN works well with a stable connection.

Cons

Understanding PM tasks can be difficult. We've developed equipment numbers to track tasks, which works best for us. However, rescheduling or generating tasks at the beginning of each month has been a struggle.

Increased productivity

Pros

The software has significantly reduced the time I spend generating work orders. Batch printing or emailing streamlines the process, allowing me to move on to the next project quickly.

Cons

There are a few aspects I dislike, such as the complexity of the search feature and the learning curve associated with closing batches of work orders.

Too powerful for most

Pros

It has become increasingly user-friendly over the 13 years I've used it. It provides a wealth of information and functionality. The quality and speed of the generated reports have improved since it became web-based.

Cons

This software offers more functionality than most users require. While it doesn't cover everything, perhaps future versions or updates will address these shortcomings. It would be beneficial to scale the software based on the required features.

Maintimizer

Pros

Transitioning from the on-premises version to the cloud version has been satisfactory in terms of administration and availability.

Cons

The product feels cumbersome, especially considering our extensive parts inventory and processes. Implementing features like tagging parts as "favorites" for frequently used items would streamline operations. Additionally, an express version allowing default answers for common tasks could enhance efficiency.
