Cons

The system can be quite slow, and it takes a long time to load. It doesn't always accept changes made, and it would be much more efficient if I didn't have to manually approve every change. MPulse Review by Automotive plant
Pros

The mobile ability, which we utilized on tablets, was convenient. We haven't yet tried the mobile app. The software's ease of use and cost-effectiveness were significant factors during our purchase in 2018, although I've noticed a substantial cost increase for new users since then.

Cons

The inability to synchronize or integrate the inventory and purchasing modules with SAP is a significant drawback. The reorder list lacks flexibility and should allow sorting by bin location, as well as the option to export it to an Excel file.

Pros

Pros

Managing records and creating new ones is easy, thanks to the copy-paste feature. Scheduled maintenance records ensure work orders stay on track.

Cons

The Audit Trail function is limited to a 15-day timeframe and requires a request to extend it. The date formatting cannot be customized, which poses challenges for us as a GMP facility where compliant date formats must be used. The search function at the top of columns in list view is slow, and if the search term is not found, the system temporarily locks up. The search field at the top of the Asset Assigned to Task was removed in V9, but it was highly useful. Assigning labor to multiple assets in work orders is time-consuming. It would be helpful to have an option to split labor across all assigned assets. The view Media dialogue takes a long time to load when multiple pages are attached. The "reset" function within the search field at the top of list columns requires too many steps to complete. Opening the list view/settings and applying the change involves too many steps.

Pros

The ability to set up recurring work orders and track historical data and usage is valuable.

Pros

Setting up, servicing, and troubleshooting with MPulse has always been a qucik and stress free task. The staff's skills and support have been exceptional since I started using their various platforms back in June 2000.

Cons

Since we handled the in-house loading of assets and setting up preventative maintenance procedures, it would have been helpful to have pre-populated PM procedures available for commonly used equipment. The inventory process and managing parts/materials were somewhat cumbersome, as was the key management tab.

Very versatile and complete, but slow and buggy
Pros

This software is incredibly versatile and comprehensive, offering a wide range of options. It seems to have every feature one could possibly need. It provides numerous choices for personnel management, asset tracking, preventive maintenance, and more. Additionally, it offers convenient ways to export data for further analysis, such as in Excel.

Cons

Certain aspects of the user interface are not immediately intuitive and require some learning. For example, one would expect that double-clicking a link opens the selected element, but instead, you need to single-click and then utilize an arrow near the top of the screen to reveal the details. The system can be slow at times. It takes additional time, around 3 minutes, to fill in information for a ticket that could be resolved in just 5 minutes, due to sluggish screen navigation. Moreover, there are occasional bugs. Some bugs appear to be resolved at one point but resurface in subsequent updates. For instance, while filling in information for a ticket, the browser may refresh on its own, causing you to unintentionally fill a different ticket. Alternatively, you might get redirected to another screen, losing the ticket you were working on with no means of retrieving it.

Exactly What Our Company Was Looking For
Pros

MPulse has completely revolutionized our company's inventory management, work order processing, asset tracking, and preventive maintenance practices for the better. It has made it significantly easier for us to stay organized and stay on top of our maintenance tasks. Moreover, the best part is that it is available as a software purchase, allowing us to own it instead of subscribing to other software options. This has proven to be more cost-effective for us in the long run.

Cons

I must admit that getting everything into the system has been a bit tedious initially, but I've realized that the more effort invested upfront, the greater the long-term benefits.

Highly Customizeable
Pros

MPulse is highly customizable, down to the aesthetics of the interface, enabling it to reflect the unique identity of our company. However, its practicality shines through, especially in its specialized design for fleet management, which is essential for distribution centers like the one I work for.

Cons

Similar to other technical CMMSs, this software does have a steeper learning curve. While it can be customized to suit your specific requirements, the setup process must be done with the assistance of an mPulse representative rather than internally within your own company.

Pros

Personally, I am not fond of this system, but I must admit that the vendor provides excellent support and assistance.

Cons

Running the software is overly complex and time-consuming. It feels like it requires a dedicated secretary. As a small team consisting of myself and two maintenance personnel, this system seems more suited for larger corporations. It seems like the needs of smaller businesses have been overlooked. Excellent Vendor Relationship Helped Make MPulse Succeed for DISH!
Pros

One of the greatest aspects of working with MPulse is their exceptional team. While implementing the software in our company posed challenges, the resources provided by MPulse were indispensable in addressing our individual issues and finding solutions. They have always been supportive and never treated our questions or problems as burdensome. Their flexibility, honesty, and transparency throughout the process have been commendable. Thanks to their assistance, MPulse has become an integral part of our operations at DISH, and we continue to discover new ways to leverage it for the benefit of our business.
