We've used this software since I started here in 2014. A couple of years later, we reviewed whether we needed a more sophisticated system and concluded that SS-CMMS offers everything a more expensive system would, so we didn't need to change. Customer support team is very responsive to any functionality requests and is great to work with.

Cons

Like with anything new, it takes a little time to get used to, but this system became intuitive fairly quickly.

The price is unbeatable! Simple to implement. Works well as a basic tool, or you can expand to scanners and inventory management with this software. Simple reporting and creating a PM schedule is effortless. The mobile app connects seamlessly.

The mobile app crashes occasionally. You need to redownload, but I think this issue has been resolved.

Unable to print the global statement on all work orders. As a food plant, it's essential to have the global statement on all work orders. PM tasks should have checkboxes for each line item.

Generating reports could be easier in terms of quantifying the desired data. Also, the load time increases with more information in the system.

My favorite feature is tracking recurring issues in our plant, which helps identify them and implement corrective actions.

I'd like SS-CMMS to have more fluid navigation. Navigation feels clunky and could be improved. You can't complete work orders from the dashboard, only edit them. After completing a work order, it keeps you on the same page instead of redirecting to all open work orders. The supplier tab should include full contact info. It would be nice to have emails, phone numbers, and addresses displayed. Lastly, it would be great if you could choose to show all entries under work orders or PMs permanently instead of selecting it every time.

It seems that staff can't load equipment or send work orders unless they are administrators.

Cloud-based for universal access, includes a PM system, and offers adequate options.

I would like it to return to the previous screen after giving a create or delete command. I also want to control what appears on reports, like not showing the priority on completed job reports. I'd like to enter the completion date if it was done on a previous day.

Easy to use, easy to adopt, web-based, affordable, and has good support. Although it's light on features, it's hard to find a better value if it meets your core needs.

Cons

The iPhone app still has some bugs. It's not a deal-breaker, but we frequently reinstall the app to fix issues. It's not very intuitive and doesn't easily communicate job details. A higher level of customization, like renaming fields and choosing displayed information, would be helpful, especially on the iPhone app. A more robust and flexible user portal would be ideal.

I wish we could install it on our local server. We do DoD work, and I want to load machine information into CMMS, but I'm not allowed to store it in the cloud.
