Pros

Canva has been my go to for creating just about anything. The platform is very user friendly and editing both photos and videos feels simple to manage. Whenever I've had a question or run into an issue customer support has been really helpful. There always seems to be another feature to explore and I keep coming across new tools all the time.

Cons

I do wish the free version came with more features. It would be better if more elements were included without having to pay especially since a lot of icons still require an upgrade.

Pros

It feels really versatile since I can handle everything from design work to document management in one place. The AI feature is also useful because it lets me recreate a design from a poster and then modify specific elements the way I want.

Cons

The pricing feels a little expensive and it's getting harder to rely on the free version because fewer features and assets are available without paying. Like I mentioned in the pros, using it can also be frustrating at times.

Pros

Keeping all my designs organized in one place has been really convenient whether they're for personal use or work. Canva also comes with a wide range of features so I can use it for all kinds of projects without needing to switch between multiple apps.

Cons

It gets frustrating searching for elements because the paid options usually show up first. It takes extra time to sort through everything just to find the free elements.

In my experience it does a ton and editing or creating images is simple to do even if you're not very tech-savvy. It definitely feels worth the monthly cost.

The AI image generator is only decent. It has improved over the years but you still have to put in quite a bit of effort to get the results you want.

Getting things done takes almost no time. Whatever I need to create it usually only takes a few minutes and the interface is very simple. The features feel well built across both video and image editing and having offline access is a really nice bonus too.

Without the Premium plan which feels far too expensive for what you actually get Canva loses a lot of its appeal. Too many features are locked behind payment even fairly basic ones. The AI features also feel overly pushed and that can get irritating depending on the task.

These days we're putting together our own client presentations, settlement demand packages and even the occasional marketing material which means we no longer have to outsource that work. The template library has plenty of solid-looking layouts that feel polished instead of amateurish. I can put together a one-pager between calls, export it as a PDF and send it off by email before opposing counsel even replies.

Cons

Occassionally the search tool brings up totally unrelated templates when I'm trying to find something specific like timelines or comparison charts. I've also run into stock photos that feel a little too generic and corporate which doesn't always match legal work very well. They're minor annoyances though and not enough to keep me from using it every day.

Pros

Canva has become our team's go to tool for creating everything from presentations and videos to promotional graphics. It comes with a wide variety of rich templates, design elements and graphics which makes it simple to customize designs to fit our organization's needs. The image and video editing tools are also really useful and I've been happy with the generative AI features and the integrations with third-party apps as well.

Cons

Offline editing is fairly limited and the mobile app hasn't been very polished in my use. I definitely prefer working from the desktop version instead.

Working with my team in Canva feels really efficient since multiple people can edit presentations and brand kits at the same time in real time. The collaboration features are excellent and make shared design work much more convenient.

Some of the more advanced formatting options and fine alignment controls are still limited when compared with full-scale desktop publishing software.

There's a lot you can make which is fantastic if you enjoy being creative. For example I can design presentations, posters, flyers, business cards and plenty of other things all in one place.

I don't like that a lot of features now only work with the premium plan. Since the premium version is expensive, many of the options end up being unavailable.

Creating polished, professional-looking graphics with Canva feels very approachable to me even without advanced design skills. The drag-and-drop setup, huge template library and wide selection of fonts, photos and design elements make it fast and efficient to put together social media posts, presentations, marketing materials and other content. It also makes collaborating with team members really simple.

One thing to keep in mind with Canva is that some of its strongest templates, graphics and features are locked behind the paid subscription. The free version is still very capable but when it comes to more complex projects, the advanced customization options can feel a bit limited compared with professional design software.

What I appreciated most about Canva was the free trial along with all the tools and options it gave me to help with my schoolwork and homework.

Since the interface is quite simple and clear it doesn't take long to understand how the different tools work. There's also a huge selection of templates, images and graphic elements which makes it simple to find a solid starting point for any project. I also appreciate being able to access my designs from different devices and share them without any hassle.

When it comes to very detailed or complex creations thats where Canva can start to show its limitations. Some settings and customization options are not as advanced as what you get in professional graphic design software. It's also a bit disappointing that certain useful features are locked behind the Pro subscription.

Running a small side business in Johannesburg, I use Canva to create posters and price lists and it works really well on both my phone and laptop even when the internet is slow. The free templates for business posters and Instagram posts look polished and professional. It helps me cut costs since I don't have to hire a designer. The drag-and-drop layout and image editing features are also simple enough for beginners to use comfortably.

A lot of the nicest templates and design elements are locked behind Canva Pro and the price feels expensive in Rands. There are also times when the website takes a while to load and the video editing features are fairly limited compared with other tools. On top of that, offline access isn't very useful because you still need an internet connection.

Image editing can take quite a while especially when you need very precise or detailed adjustments since that part can be difficult to handle accurately.

Creating just about any kind of design or document I can think of is really simple with Canva. I've put together hundreds of labels, flyers, banners, postcards, signs and plenty of other materials with it.

The cost definitely started to add up over time. Even so, the Pro version still felt worth paying for because of all the extra features and content it unlocked.

When it comes to creating content or putting together presentations, this has been the simplest platform for us to work with. We upgraded to the Pro version so we could take advantage of the extra features especially the image and video editing tools.

I'd love to see a bigger selection of stock photos. The AI tools do help when we need to create something specific but adding tutorial links for newer features would also be really helpful.

I think that these days, no matter what kind of business you run, Canva feels like an essential tool for things like social media posts, posters and more. The value you get is hard to beat and it's very simple to work with whether you're just starting out or already experienced in creative design.

Creating professional-looking graphics with Canva doesn't require a design background which is a huge plus. It offers a massive selection of templates and tools and it really starts to shine once you get past the basics. I like that after learning some of the more advanced features, it becomes possible to put together genuinely impressive designs in a very short amount of time.

Because Canva is used by so many people, a lot of designs can end up feeling pretty similar. It's often easy to tell when something was made in Canva especially if someone leans too much on the default templates. If you want your work or brand to feel more distinctive, you have to spend extra time customizing everything.

Canva has been a really flexible tool for creating graphics and videos especially for my marketing work. It also comes with a huge library of stock photos and videos that are available to download and use which makes content creation much more convenient.

The only limitation is that you need to upgrade to the Pro plan if you want access to unlimited resources. That said, it's understandable and the pricing still feels pretty reasonable.

It has a free version that has been really useful and simple to work with. It feels like a much simpler take on InDesign or Photoshop (obviously without all the advanced tools) but it covers the basics well. I've used it for flyers printables mood boards photo grids and handouts.

Something that gets annoying is how the premium features are mixed right in with the free ones so with a free account you end up digging through a lot of options you can't actually use just to find the ones you can. They're also leaning way too heavily into AI like a lot of software platforms right now which is disappointing for something that's supposed to focus on design.
