awesome tool

Pros

Creating digital content for ads, along with designing websites and advertisements, is really simple with this software. It offers a lot for the price and feels like a strong value considering everything it lets you do.

Cons

One downside is that the site can be slow to load quite often which gets frustrating when you're juggling multiple projects. The logo design section can also be a bit tricky to navigate.

Has everything you need

Pros

Between the 500K+ ready-made templates for things like Instagram stories, resumes and logos, there's pretty much something for every project. The AI-powered tools especially Magic Resize and Brand Kit, make customization faster and more convenient without taking away the creative side.

Cons

It still doesn't offer true layer controls like Photoshop and the detailed adjustment options are limited, such as brush opacity and blend modes. I've also noticed some pixelation when zooming in on more complex designs.

signage made simple

Pros

Our signage work looks far more professional with this software and the interface is very simple to use.

Cons

I get why they do it but it was still frustrating to discover that the resize option is locked behind the premium subscription even though the feature itself is simple to use.

I recommend

Pros

Canva is simple to learn and makes it possible to create high-quality graphics without much trouble. They regularly roll out new features which keeps the platform feeling fresh and up to date. As an educator, having free access makes it an absolute must-have.

Cons

Even though I really enjoy the new updates, they can be a little disruptive at first since there's always something new to learn. Thankfully, it's usually fairly quick to pick up and get comfortable with. One issue I've noticed is that web links inside a Canva design can be a bit unreliable at times.

make designs in minutes

Pros

There's a really nice selection of free templates and the range of design options gives a lot of flexibility. Being able to add aesthetic symbols and images also makes a big difference and helps the document look much more polished and visually appealing.

Cons

A downside is that the better symbols and images are limited to users with a pro subscription. That does make sense to an extent but the subscription cost is fairly high which makes those features feel a bit out of reach.

simple interface

Pros

Right away, the simple layout made the tool feel approachable. I've been able to use a wide range of features that help me build my work brands and that has been really valuable. I usually don't spend much on software but Canva Pro is one I keep whenever my budget allows. The AI tools are a nice addition as well even though they still have a bit more room to improve. Overall, it's definitely a very user-friendly platform.

Cons

I'd appreciate a bit more flexibility when it comes to photo and video editing but aside from that, there really isn't much in it that I've been unhappy with.

Impressive results

Pros

This software makes it simple to create visuals with a drag-and-drop editor and it comes with a large template library for things like PDFs, presentations and logos which helps a lot with quick edits and high-resolution exports.

Cons

The con is that the logos and some other templates do not feel very eye-catching and can come across as too basic. It is also not usable offline even through the app.

gave us a creative boost

Pros

Putting together posters and similar materials with it feels really simple. I was the one who introduced Canva at my company and now we rely on it for all kinds of different projects.

Cons

My only real complaint is that some of the tools can be a bit tricky to locate. Thankfully, they offer help and training which makes that a lot easier to manage.

canva covers it all

Pros

Canva has been fantastic for everything I need, from making simple Instagram posts to using the templates and putting together presentations. It's very user-friendly and the newer AI features have been a nice addition too.

Cons

The mobile app doesn't let me do everything I'd want to do.

Incredible results

Pros

Super simple to use, with plenty of templates to choose from. Even without being a graphic designer, you can create professional-looking designs in just a few clicks. The real-time collaboration feature is a real bonus.

Cons

Some features are missing without a subscription and for more detailed projects, it reaches its limits pretty quickly compared with more advanced software.

Templates and fonts are great

Pros

There's a wide variety of templates to choose from and they can be resized to fit different social media post formats. It also comes with plenty of font choices which gives you more flexibility when designing.

Cons

To get access to all of the templates, you need to pay for a subscription. The basic account is more restricted so your design options are fairly limited unless you upgrade.

perfect for launching my brand

Pros

Starting out with a new business, the free version has been incredibly helpful for getting my marketing underway while I continue building my brand.

Cons

Designing in the Canva app can be a bit tricky at times although I know they also offer a desktop version that I've been meaning to test out. The app is just so convenient that I keep going back to it.

Perfect for us

Pros

Plenty of features here for anyone who doesn't have access to Adobe products and the customer panel feels fairly adaptive to use with a lot of genuinely useful tools. The biggest advantage for me is the preset sizing for social media posts especially since those dimensions keep changing all the time.

Cons

If you're coming from professional design software, this can feel a bit limited. The free version doesn't offer that much and it's not as flexible as more advanced professional tools.

all-in-one favorite

Pros

Using the program feels really convenient and getting around it is very adaptive. The whole platform has a friendly, modern, youthful vibe and everything is laid out in a way that makes it simple to locate what you need. It's especially useful being able to create everything in one place, whether it's a logo social post, thumbnail or postcard. There's also such a huge selection of designs, styles, fonts and other elements that it's hard to list everything available.

Cons

Canva is one of the most popular tools out there so it's genuinely difficult to point to something I disliked. It really includes everything an average person would need to build content for a business, blog or any other personal project.

I liked it

Pros

Having access to millions of templates for everyday use across different apps and platforms is what really sets Canva apart for me.

Cons

It felt perfect before the AI features were introduced. Every attempt I made to create sensible templates with the new AI Magic Creator ended up being disappointing and I'd still rather have the human touch of an expert designer instead.

your best pick

Pros

This software makes it really simple to put together clean, professional-looking designs in no time even if you don't have any design background. The templates are a huge time-saver and help me get things done much faster.

Cons

A few of the more advanced tools are only available with the Pro plan and the mobile app feels a little more restricted than the desktop version.

my experience with canva...

Pros

It has been fantastic for creating artwork, digital signage and even postage signs. It's become one of my go-to tools for putting together visuals that look polished and professional.

Cons

I don't have any complaints. It's been a perfect service for us and everyone at my company uses it to create signs that our clients can clearly see.

all has been great

Pros

Love it, it makes the design process quick and efficient. We use it for set menu designs and working from ready-made templates helps us turn things around much faster.

Cons

One challenge is making sure the file is saved in the right format depending on how it will be used, whether that's for digital viewing or printing.
