What Is Classroomscreen?

Classroomscreen is a cloud-based digital whiteboard designed to let teachers manage their classrooms from a single screen. It combines time-tracking tools such as the Stopwatch and Event countdown with games, surveys, and other engagement widgets to keep students actively engaged in classes. Teachers can create their own layout by combining backgrounds, themes, and widgets that suit their teaching style, then save it for use in future courses.

The software reduces the need to switch between several apps or slides by consolidating daily agendas, timings, and interactive activities into a single location, providing both teachers and students with a clear, constant reference point throughout the day.

What Is Classroomscreen Best For?

Classroomscreen stands out for its built-in Timer function, which allows teachers to keep track of time throughout class activities. Teachers can use timers on a loop for rotations, making it simple to handle repetitive chores or station-based teaching. The program also allows users to select and save a preset timer length, so it can be used again without needing to be reset each time. This allows teachers to adjust classroom pace and keep pupils on track throughout the day.

How Much Does Classroomscreen Cost?

Classroomscreen pricing starts at $3/month under the Pro plan which is suitable for individual teachers. It also offers an Organizational plan for schools and districts, and its price increases or decreases depending on the required number of licenses, so for 25 licenses it is priced at $525/year.

Apart from the base subscription cost, businesses should keep the following potential costs in mind:

  • Implementation: $500–$3,000 for schools and small deployments and $3,000–$10,000 for larger district-wide rollouts
  • Teacher Training And Onboarding: $500–$5,000
  • School And District Licensing: $1,000–$10,000+ annually
  • Integrations And Administrative Setup: $1,000–$10,000
  • Premium Support And Custom Services: $500–$5,000+ annually

Who Is Classroomscreen For?

Classroomscreen helps instructors across a variety of grade levels and educational roles, including:

  • Pre-K and elementary school teachers
  • Middle school teachers
  • High school teachers
  • Special education instructors
  • School librarians

Classroomscreen Use Cases

We analyzed Classroomscreen's features and how different educators use it to identify common ways special education teachers, high school teachers, school librarians, and Pre-K and elementary school teachers use the platform to manage routines, transitions, and classroom engagement:

Special Education Instructors Supporting Students Who Rely On Predictable Routines

For adolescents who require structure to feel safe, abrupt shifts in activity can be quite upsetting. A learner might not be aware that an activity is coming to an end until it has already ended if there is no visible cue. Students can clearly see how much time is left and what is anticipated thanks to Classroomscreen's Visual timer and Work symbols. Whether it's group time, quiet work, or discussion is shown by the Traffic light widget. This visual framework lessens anxiety during transitions and eliminates the need for frequent verbal reminders.

High School Teachers Running Multiple Activities Within One Long Block Period

A 90-minute block rarely covers a single activity, and repeating directions for each phase takes instructional time. Teachers can create a single screen for the entire time, utilizing the Timer for each segment, a QR code that links to an assignment, and the Hyperlink widget to access resources. Kids check the screen instead of asking what comes next, allowing professors to circulate and encourage kids individually rather than narrating the timetable.

School Librarians Managing Rotating Classes With Different Needs Each Period

Librarians frequently meet several different groups per day, each requiring a unique setup, and resetting instructions each time is easy to misunderstand. Classroomscreen allows librarians to save and reuse screens, thus creating a ‘Silent Reading’ screen with the Sound level widget or a "Book Club" screen with the Group creator widget takes only one click. The Sound level widget also provides students with real-time loudness feedback without the librarian's intervention.

Pre-K And Elementary Teachers Communicating With Students Who Can't Read Instructions Yet

Because young students cannot grasp written agendas, teachers are forced to repeat verbal directions all the time. Classroomscreen's image-based tools, such as Backgrounds, Stickers, and the Calendar widget, allow teachers to create displays that communicate with pictures rather than text. A picture of a book next to a timer instructs a five-year-old without using words, allowing them to develop independence before becoming excellent readers.

Is Classroomscreen Right For You?

Classroomscreen is great for teachers who want an easy way to administer their classroom from a single screen without having to switch between applications or create slides from scratch each day. It works particularly effectively when transitions, timing, or student involvement become difficult to control, and a teacher requires a visual aid that students may use independently.

Classroomscreen saves teachers' planning time and keeps students on track by merging widgets such as timers, group makers, and calendars into a single customized display that requires no technological setup. It also takes data protection seriously. Classroomscreen uses SSL technology to protect login information and data transmission, stores personal data only for as long as necessary, and processes data within the EU/EEA, with additional safeguards such as ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 certifications applied when data is transferred to other countries such as the United States.

With its browser-based, subscription-style approach that doesn't require installation or IT overhead, Classroomscreen fits in well with K–12 school districts' growing preference for cloud-based classroom platforms over on-premises or standalone software.

Super easy to use

Pros

I absolutely love how easy it is to use ClassroomScreen and all the options available at my fingertips. From the randomizer for discussions to the timer for work sessions and the daily schedule that helps my students stay on track, it's incredibly useful. I particularly appreciate the sound level indicator, it helps my students monitor their noise levels. The randomizer is a daily tool in my classroom to ensure every student gets called on. The timer keeps both me and the kids on schedule and honestly, I just enjoy the overall aesthetic of the platform.

Cons

The fact that it is an online tool can be a bit tricky sometimes especially compared to Google Slides, which I can use offline. The name randomizer needs a little tweak, the box it's in is too big compared to the name inside. It takes up too much space! Also the text size feature could use some work. When it's open it covers too much of the screen and it's hard to select or adjust the size. It would be great to have more stickers and background options, maybe some science-themed ones. Another improvement would be a "snap to position" feature to help line up the widgets more easily perhaps an option users could toggle on or off for more freedom with layout. It does feel a little expensive for what it offers but if the developers follow through with user feedback and make the necessary tweaks, it could definitely be worth it!

I'm a huge fan of this service!

Pros

I've been using the free version of ClassroomScreen for some time but recently upgraded to the teacher subscription. Now I'm setting up for next year with my daily check in screen, center rotation and weekly lesson plans. I'm already loving the service, it's a total game changer!

Cons

It would be great if I could share my screens publicly or with fellow teachers, this would be so helpful for collaboration.

A tool for daily use

Pros

What I really appreciate about this tool is the ability to save my frequently used tools. I could use other applications for these but having them all in one easy-to-use place is amazing. Even my students are loving it, they always ask to be the one running the board now! It's so simple to use that they are all experts in no time.

Cons

A quick way to clear data from widgets like the noise alarm or randomizer, would be a real time-saver. Right now it takes a little extra time to clear these and I'd love to see that streamlined. Also having the ability to save a list of students who have already been picked by the randomizer would be fantastic especially if I have two or more randomizers on the screen. It would make it easier to break up tasks like number corner, library basket and brain breaks all at once.
