remote teamwork is manageable now

Pros

It has been very useful for sharing files both inside and outside the company especially with options like links, permissions, expiration dates and password protection. Real-time collaboration is also a big plus and tools such as Dropbox Paper, e-signatures and DocSend tracking make remote teamwork much more manageable which matters a lot for how we work.

Cons

One downside is the pricing which is noticeably higher compared to Google OneDrive. On top of that, anyone coming from Google Drive or OneDrive may need time to adjust to it and the learning curve can be pretty steep especially for older users.

frustrating interface and syncing

Pros

Honestly there wasn't much that worked for me here. I ended up giving up on it because the interface felt so confusing and the syncing process was way too complicated.

Cons

Right from the start, the interface felt difficult to deal with. I couldn't reliably find my files and I was never confident that everything was actually syncing. Setting it up and accessing my documents felt unnecessarily complicated.

handy sharing, difficult setup

Pros

Sharing files with coworkers is very convenient especially when it comes to more detailed documents like journal articles.

Cons

Getting it set up and used in that environment feels a little difficult. Because of that, I tend to prefer Google Docs over it when sharing is the priority.

reliable storage and support

Pros

It is pretty easy to use. It keeps all my files organized in one place, handles large file storage well, makes documents easy to access and the customer support has been excellent.

Cons

One issue we have run into is that there are times when we cannot access the account and we end up having to change the password repeatedly.

Great for document collection

Pros

Dropbox Business has been one of the better tools for collecting and organizing shared documents on commercial projects for contractors. It's easy to use and offers really good value for the cost.

Cons

Storage and functionality do have their limits so you may need to pay extra for additional features but the pricing is still reasonable.

Easy setup and plenty of file storage

Pros

It was easy to set up for business use and linking new accounts was very easy. Transferring files and storing them there has been a very pleasant experience overall.

Cons

The browser version gave me quite a few problems. At times it would work fine and other times it wouldn't especially when trying to log into the account.

charged for Free Trial

Pros

Honestly there was nothing worthwhile enough to keep us using it. Our company has now made it policy not to use this service, we deleted the account and we will not accept files sent this way anymore.

Cons

It kept asking for payment just to receive files shared by clients which was incredibly frustrating. Even when choosing the free trial, they still charged us anyway. On top of that, the whole service felt laggy and hard to navigate.

Syncs well across all devices

Pros

Across all my devices, file syncing works well and the interface is very easy to use. It also makes collaboration simple thanks to secure sharing options and strong integrations with other productivity tools.

Cons

Any small limitations are far outweighed by how reliable it is, how simple it is to use and how strong the collaboration features are.

worth every penny

Pros

I must say it has had a very polished interface. It's simple to use and I honestly haven't run into bugs or major issues. Sharing files is easy and I can upload pretty much any file type without trouble. It also works well with other apps which makes it even more useful. Overall it worth every penny.

Cons

The free version only comes with limited storage so if you need more space, you'll have to pay for it.

reliable file sharing across devices

Pros

It has been very practical and efficient for keeping documents organized across different devices. It works well on both desktop and mobile and it handles sharing different file types and file sizes especially well.

Cons

There can be a slight drop in performance when working with very large or heavy files or when using it on older hardware.

Has plenty of storage

Pros

Dropbox has really improved. It now offers plenty of storage, no real space limits and great connections with popular document management tools.

Cons

The history features are a bit hard to work with and it still falls short when it comes to file organization and version control.

amazing desktop app

Pros

The folder setup is well organized, the desktop app runs reliably and mobile uploads sync almost immediately without any issues.

Cons

This isn't really its problem but Microsoft Files doesn't support some advanced features for files saved in it, like auto-save and shared access.

file sharing made easy

Pros

This tool is user friendly and easy to use especially when it comes to sharing files with different users. I rely on it across several organizations I am involved with and it handles that very well.

Cons

One thing I still haven't been able to do is have multiple people edit the same document at once with changes saving in real time.

Safe for personal information storage

Pros

It has been very helpful for keeping my personal information stored safely and it made signing in and out of the service very convenient.

Cons

The only downside I ran into was that logging in could be a little difficult at times but aside from that, it was awesome.

file sharing options are the best

Pros

Dropbox has been the best option for sharing files across teams in a business setting. It plays a central role in keeping our work organized and helping everyone collaborate without friction. It even allows us to send documents back and forth for signatures which is very useful.

Cons

I notice that the Sign feature looks a bit separate from the main platform. I wish it were more tightly integrated with the core service.

makes cross department file search easy

Pros

Sharing and storing files across our teams is one of the most useful parts of this software and we rely on it every day. Searching for files between different departments is very easy which saves time. Organizing department folders inside the app is also simple and works very well.

Cons

Sending files to people outside the company can be a bit difficult especially when the files are large. On top of that, file syncing occasionally takes more time than I expect.

Works well across long distances

Pros

Having this one has made it possible to work closely with my business partner even though we're four hours apart. We can manage files, review documents and sign things quickly without any hassle.

Cons

At this point, I honestly don't have any complaints about it. It has consistently worked really well for us.

accessible storage and security

Pros

The thing I really like is the free storage it offers. It keeps my files very secure and I've never run into any issues with losing anything.

Cons

I do wish it worked a bit more like Microsoft Teams. It's definitely useful for storing files but it doesn't feel as interactive or as accommodating when it comes to collaboration.
