“A complete company updates hub”

Pros

Having company updates collected in one dedicated place has been really helpful. I can quickly find the information that affects my day-to-day work without wasting time searching for it.

Cons

I haven't run into any negative experiences with Haystack up to this point.

“Perfect for our team”

Pros

Our company has been able to keep discussions org charts and product knowledge all in one place with this tool. It also does a nice job of keeping everyone informed about company communications and polls. The layout is clean, everything feels well organized and the platform runs really fast.

Cons

Not very familiar with programming so I can't speak to that side much but it looks like there are solid options for integrating widgets and other features. No specific cons to mention.

“love the groups and shoutouts”

Pros

So our team has gotten a lot out of the Groups, Shoutouts, Polls and the Guess Who game. The platform is very user-friendly especially with the AI assistance and integrations built in. Reactions are a nice touch and having custom emojis made specifically for us makes it feel more engaging. The bell notifications and post bookmarking are also really useful. It runs well, delivers strong ROI and I'm really happy with how smoothly our team was able to onboard it.

Cons

Honestly haven't run into anything I dislike about this platform.

“well-organized team events hub”

Pros

Haystack has been really helpful for staying organized with calendar items and social events and it cuts down on miscommunication. It's also very useful for tracking company events. I really appreciate the visual design because it's clear and simple to follow. The way photos, the organogram and the directory are laid out feels very organized so everything is easy to read and understand. It also gives me a better sense of the company's values and how to connect and integrate with the team. The initial setup was pretty simple too.

Cons

Nothing at the moment.

“keeps our teams connected”

Pros

It has become the hub for our company intranet and does a really good job keeping employees connected, informed and engaged by putting all the key information and resources in one place. Since it's group-based, content can be curated and targeted to the right audience so people get information that actually applies to them. The interface feels polished and welcoming and overall it's very user friendly. Cameron, Meghan and Alison have also been fantastic to work with and incredibly supportive throughout the process. I especially appreciated how simple the initial setup was with help from both the internal team and the outside consultant they recommended.

Cons

A few parts of it still feel a bit outdated especially when it comes to moving subpages which takes more effort than it should. It would also be much better if multiple employees could collaborate on a page more easily or work on drafts in a ghost mode before publishing. Also, I'd love to see stronger analytics included without needing to pay extra for an add-on.

The best parts of the software is the AI-powered search feature.

Cons

Commenting and social side isn't quite what I expected since I was hoping for something more similar to Facebook.

“organized hub for remote teams”

Pros

Right away, its clean, well-structured layout stood out to me. The support team has also been fast and attentive whenever needed which matters a lot. I really value being able to customize pages and posts, plus manage security settings for different group segments since that's essential for our business. It gives us a very organized way to surface the forms we use every day across our remote company and it's also been excellent for sharing kudos, birthday celebrations and company-wide announcements.

Cons

One thing that still needs work is keeping connected apps reliably linked. Google Drive disconnects fairly often and when that happens, documents and links stop working. The AI search could use some refinement too since it feels a little tiring right now. We also really needed the onboarding meetings to get our groups and content set up in a structured way.

“nice mental break at work”

Pros

Gives me a nice break from stressful company-related reading which I really appreciate during the day. It adds a bit of breathing room and the initial setup was simple and quick to get through.

Cons

Honestly the only problem I run into is when I'm not completely sure what the subject topic is.

“support is top notch here!”

Pros

Using it has been very simple and it really helps improve communication. It also makes company support much more effective and genuinely useful.

Cons

One downside is that it's a bit tucked away in the profile so it can be hard to find and access quickly.

“I loved it!”

Pros

It has been really helpful for keeping communication between coworkers organized and making sure everyone is seeing the same directions and updates. It keeps the whole team informed and on the same page. One thing I really appreciate is how user-friendly it is and how the site is structured since it makes important information much easier to locate. The option to create and post within separate groups has also been especially useful. As cooks, we don't need to see everything upper management is discussing in their group so it helps cut down on extra posts and keeps us focused on what matters to us. Compared to the previous platform we used, The Portal, it has been much simpler to navigate and much better for keeping track of information. The initial setup was also very quick and simple.

Cons

At first, figuring out how to make a post was a little confusing. The white-on-white contrast also made that part harder to spot.

“our company hub every day”

Pros

Turned into the place we rely on for pretty much everything, from company news to team resources. We don't have to waste time digging through emails, DMs, scattered messages or different tools anymore because everything we need is right there and only a click away. It's the first place I check for anything related to the company and I end up using it several times throughout the day.

Cons

The social side of it is a big benefit as well. It feels much more like a community space than a typical static intranet and that has made our team feel more connected especially those working remotely.

“Packed with useful features”

Pros

Comes with a lot of features I genuinely enjoy using especially being able to create posts or events and schedule them ahead of time, send notifications by email or text, use the shoutout feature and control who can see each post. The scheduling option is particularly helpful because it keeps me efficient and on track with everything on my timeline. I also appreciate the notifications since they let me check posts from my phone in real time. The shoutout feature is another favorite because it helps team members feel recognized and appreciated. Also, getting started with it was extremely simple.

Cons

Something missing is a reporting feature that shows who actually opened posts. I'd also really like to see some kind of training tool where we could upload training materials, whether in print or video format and track whether team members engaged with that training. It would be even better if there were an option to add a short quiz based on the material.

“Fast AI search”

Pros

AI it has really gets me to information much faster than I ever could on my own and that has been a huge help. I also really appreciate how clean and polished the pages look which makes the whole experience more visually appealing. Another thing that adds value is that the AI doesn't only give answers, it also shows the sources it pulled from so it's much easier to spot outdated information on the site. Also, it was priced much better than what we were previously using with NContracts.

Cons

So there's a lack of sorting options and it makes page design more tiring than it should be. For example, the birthdays card currently doesn't sort properly to show the team members with birthdays in the current month. That ended up being very time-consuming and dragged on for about two months.

“Clean design”

Pros

Right away, the variety of features makes the software simple to navigate and practical for everyday use. The interface also looks polished and visually appealing which makes spending time in it more enjoyable.

Cons

At times some links appear to send you back to the same place which can make parts of it feel repetitive though that may be more related to how it's being used than an issue with the program itself.

“all-in-one hub for updates”

Pros

Having this as one central place for HR information and company updates has been really useful. It does a nice job of keeping all our contact details organized for internal management and the interface is very simple to navigate. Another thing I appreciate is that older updates stay available for a certain period which is especially helpful when I've been away and need to catch up, before newer updates rotate in. It also looks polished and performs well. I work with a lot of different software and Haystack genuinely handles what I need. From what was shown to us, the setup also appeared simple and well put together.

Cons

Don't really have any complaints. I mainly use it for internal news updates and it does exactly what I need it to do.
