Pros

Being able to jump into ad-hoc meetings and have face-to-face conversations without putting everything on the calendar is something I really enjoy. It helps bring people together across the company, no matter where in the world they are.

Cons

Can be pretty heavy on memory at times and using it on mobile devices has also been a bit challenging.

It comes about as close as possible to making remote work feel like being in a real office.

I'd love to see the mobile app continue to get better over time.

The platform is simple to use and has a polished, modern look. It makes it really clear what each team member is working on and being able to communicate without starting a call is a big plus.

A downside is that it does require a fair amount of PC resources to run properly.

It really captures the feel and camaraderie of being in an office while encouraging more spontaneous collaboration and better visibility across the organization. It's helpful to quickly see who's around, who's available, who's chatting with whom and who's free. Also, it makes meetings feel much more engaging and fun than standard video chat tools. At this point, I can't imagine working without it. And honestly it's fun to use too.

One thing that would make it even better is the option to call directly into a meeting room instead of relying on the mobile app. That would make joining meetings while driving a lot more practical. The mobile option does work for attending but it uses a lot of processing power and bandwidth.

Pros

It turned out to be something I didn't realize my team was missing until we actually started using it. For a remote team, it feels a lot like a virtual getaway and a real place to work and hang out with coworkers. It has genuine personality and instead of feeling like just another chat app such as Slack, it feels like a space you can truly shape and make your own.

Really wish the mobile app were stronger so I could use it properly while I'm on the go. Whenever someone on my team is traveling, we usually end up switching to Google Meet instead and that's definitely not the ideal experience.

Love that i can customize my own space and this is something I really enjoy. Since I work for a remote company, it gives me a way to show a bit of my personality and I also enjoy seeing that same personal touch from my coworkers.

The mobile features still need work. I've joined a few meetings on my phone and the experience wasn't very good because the audio quality was lacking and more importantly, there was noticeable lag whenever someone shared their screen.

What a fantastic tool to use. The support team responds quickly whenever I have questions or requests which I really appreciate. My favorite part is the pop-out feature because it lets me stay in it while working in a completely different tab at the same time.

Because there are so many creative possibilities, the platform sometimes struggles to keep up. There have also been times when guests got bounced out or people were unexpectedly kicked from the program. I've noticed occasional lag as well.

Pros

Every person who joins the space seems to feel more connected and it's been fantastic for team building and building stronger relationships. It's the best virtual experience platform I've used.

The technical issues are still being addressed although I've definitely noticed improvement this year. I'd also love to see a little more functionality for the elements, like adjusting angles, sizes and similar details.

The interface and overall design are phenomenal. I really love how it turns a Sims-like virtual workspace into something that still feels functional and user friendly to use.

Online collaboration feels a lot less awkward with this. Being able to virtually walk up to someone and ask a question makes conversations feel far more natural, almost like being together in the office or in person.

The mobile app is still working toward full feature parity but it's already useful that I can now join meetings while I'm on the move if I need to step away from my desk so credit to the team for rolling that out.

It does a really good job of creating that feeling of "being in the office together" for a fully remote team like ours. A lot of the game-style features are fun and some of them actually help us step away from work for a bit and recharge. We also really love the screen sharing feature.

Something we really wish it did better is integrate well with Slack.

Working with remote teammates feels way more entertaining with this and it adds a lot more energy to the overall atmosphere than you'd normally expect.

Setting up and running meetings in it has been really simple. Once the meeting is live, there are plenty of solid options for handling participants and keeping everyone engaged. The presentation features stood out to me especially screen sharing and annotations which made it much easier to walk the group through more difficult material. Overall, the platform feels user-friendly and includes all the features I need.

Jumping into it feels surprisingly natural and brings back that in-person office vibe while still keeping the best parts of remote work. I've really enjoyed being able to enter the virtual office, move into a room and collaborate with the team in a way that feels fluid and engaging. Having several people screen sharing at once helps keep everything moving without much friction. It's also the kind of platform I wish more teams would use,the decorations, virtual treats like donuts and built-in games seem perfect for building team culture during the workday in a spontaneous way.

One limitation comes up when my battery dies and I need to rejoin Kumospace from my phone to keep a conversation going. The mobile experience doesn't feel quite as full-featured or polished so I'm really hoping their planned phone app or mobile update comes out soon.
