“Great mailbox organization”

Pros

It does a really nice job when it comes to handling multiple mailboxes especially when I want to organize them into groups like business and private. One of the biggest benefits is the very well-designed 3-pane view, along with the quick filters for unread messages, emails with attachments or VIP contacts. Another feature I really appreciate is how simple it is to forward received attachments in a new email using the sidebar in the compose window, where the most recent attachments are shown.

Cons

For business use, there are still two things I miss a lot. First, there is no CardDAV integration so I can't use the contacts stored in my private Nextcloud. Because of that, the contacts in Postbox are different from the ones on my smartphone and tablet. I also really miss CalDAV support with a built-in calendar. There used to be a calendar add-on some years ago and without that kind of integration it's hard to save or accept invitations directly into a calendar. Task management could also be a nice addition especially if it worked together with a Nextcloud server.

Pros

Right from the start, everything felt very user friendly. The feature set has been excellent and it has made handling my email much more efficient and productive. It even offers special functions that made me want to pay for it.

Cons

Haven't noticed any missing features.

“Impressive features”

Pros

From the get go, I loved how flexible the platform is, along with its polished design and strong feature set. It feels very modular and seems like it can adapt well to the way I specifically work.

Cons

Something I'd still like to see is more control over the icons themselves, even if it's just color customization and the option to remove the top toolbar completely. Still, I'm very satisfied with it overall.

“reliable email management”

Pros

Does exactly what an email client is supposed to do, manage accounts and handle sending and receiving emails without any hassle. Also, the UX is well designed and everything is simple to navigate and use.

Cons

Can't point to anything negative. There's nothing about it that I dislike.

“easy to handle”

Pros

The support team has been solid and absolutely worth the cost. The software itself runs well and does what I need it to do.

Cons

A few features that I've seen in other programs are still missing from PB. That said, I've already requested them and hope they'll be included in future upgrades.

“clean interface and one-time license”

Pros

Switching from Mac, I wanted a good, easy mail client for Windows. That turned out to be surprisingly difficult since so many options either look like they came straight out of the 90s or clutter the interface with integrations I never use. After trying quite a few, it was the one that stood out with the most beautiful, polished, simple and clean interface. I also really appreciate being able to purchase the license outright instead of having to rent the software.

Cons

The thing I miss most is a taskbar badge for unread emails on Windows.

“excellent for accessible productivity”

Pros

It has been an excellent choice for serious production work. As someone who is totally blind and has used it for more than a year, I can say it works very efficiently. The dashboard is easy to navigate, the layout is simple and the actions feel direct and smooth.

Cons

One issue is that the "Email Fields" are not labeled with alt text.

“user friendly interface”

Pros

Getting started with it was easy and keeping it running has been just as manageable. The interface feels clean and user friendly and the frequent updates help you stay current with new features and improvements. Also, customer support replies quickly whenever needed.

Cons

What could be improved is device synchronization since having a simpler syncing option would make it even better. Adding email senders to contacts could also be more convenient and it would help to have two separate contact groups, such as personal and general, when saving new contacts.

“10/10 product”

Pros

Love that it does exactly what I need, feels user friendly and stays out of the way when I don't need to think about it. The balance between customization and sensible defaults is spot on and everything is right where you'd expect it to be while doing exactly what it promises.

Cons

Honestly after using it heavily for more than a year, I still haven't come across anything that really holds it back.

“Layout and panes are nice”

Pros

Without any lag, it loads quickly and feels very user friendly to use. The way the window panes are designed also makes the interface pleasant and practical.

Cons

There are still some odd issues though. For example, when I check my sent emails, a lot of them are missing in Postbox, even though they are all clearly there in Gmail itself. For some reason, the app just does not pick them up. Also, even after paying for the app, there does not seem to be anyone at Postbox I can actually contact about the problem.

“easy to use”

Pros

This tool is part of my daily routine and I really appreciate the layout and how user friendly the interface feels. It doesn't come with all the extra bloat you get in Microsoft products which is a big plus. I'm also glad it avoids the Ribbon-style interface that has become standard in so many other programs.

Cons

Hyperlink feature automatically create a link whenever a URL is typed directly into the body of an email.

“blocked install and paid support”

Pros

Earlier versions were simple to use and came with plenty of features, at least the ones I was actually able to install.

Cons

Right away, Windows 10 blocks the installer and the guidance Postbox gives does not cover the newer way Windows handles that. After I manually unblock the file using Windows' current method, the installer then says the file is corrupt. Also, their support section has nothing that addresses this issue. To make it worse, the only way to contact support is by paying $8 which feels ridiculous especially since this is clearly something that could affect more than just me.

“Useful updates”

Pros

The interface is polished and user-friendly and the software keeps getting updated with features that are actually helpful for users, like frequently used responses and templates.

Cons

One thing that still feels outdated is the vertical lines in replies along with the old-style reply and forward headers. That part really should be modernized so emails look more professional, more in line with how Microsoft Outlook formats reply and forward headers.

“modern mail features i love”

Pros

Right away, the biggest win for me was how simple it is to use. I was able to move over my Eudora Mail after converting it to .MBOX and that process worked out well. Filing and searching are both really solid, the layout makes sense and the functionality feels modern instead of outdated. I also enjoy the daily tips, the option to group emails together and especially the folders, I absolutely love how folders are handled.

Cons

Honestly I've loved everything about it up to this point. It's put together so well that I didn't even mind paying for it.

“flexible inbox groups and ownership”

Pros

Having the option to organize email addresses into separate groups instead of keeping everything in one combined inbox is a big plus. Another thing I really appreciate is the one-time purchase license. I'm not a fan of monthly or yearly subscriptions at all. I prefer paying for an app once and continuing to use it, then deciding for myself later whether a major update is worth buying and if it is, choosing when to pay for it.

Cons

Just one addition that would be really useful is a small calendar in the right corner or along the right side. I'm not talking about a fully integrated calendar with Google Calendar, iCal or anything similar, just a simple monthly view for quickly checking dates. For example, while writing an email and needing to mention a date, it would help to click a button and instantly see things like what date next Friday falls on or what date last Monday was.

“Impressive!”

Pros

Right away, the platform feels very user-friendly and flexible enough to fit the needs of different users. The HTML messaging is a big plus as well especially because it makes working with HTML email templates very easy.

Cons

A downside is that extensions, such as translations, need to be downloaded separately and that setup can be misused quite easily.
