“A complete multiplatform email app”
Pros
Getting my email accounts connected was easy and the overall quality has been excellent. It works across multiple platforms, includes all the features I was looking for and as far as I can tell it's a native desktop application rather than something built with Electron which I really appreciate.
Cons
The only thing missing for me is that Postbox doesn't include an integrated calendar.

“quick search”
Pros
Right away, I appreciated how quickly mail loads and how many inboxes I can add and organize into groups. The search feature is in a league of its own, no other email app I've used can find messages this well. I spent some time using Outlook but ended up returning to Postbox because Outlook feels much slower by comparison.
Cons
For me, whats missing is the ability to dictate directly with Dragon speech recognition.

“loving postbox on mac”
Pros
After keeping an eye on Postbox for years, I finally gave it a try and it's been a really good switch. I'd always heard it was one of the go-to mail apps for macOS and after spending a few years with Airmail, I got tired of how bloated that app had become. Postbox has been much more enjoyable to use. The interface looks good, the themes are a nice touch and the search works really well.
Cons
One thing I'd still like improved is the way unread messages and attachments are filtered. The "Attributes" feature kind of gets me part of the way there but I'd much rather have a dedicated folder I can click into or a keyboard shortcut to toggle those views more quickly.

“Smart folders are a lifesaver”
Pros
Handling a high volume of emails feels much more manageable thanks to the topic assignment feature and smart folders. They make organizing and keeping control of my inbox incredibly convenient and for anyone dealing with tons of emails every day, it's honestly a huge relief.
Cons
Every now and then, the app says my account password is wrong even when it isn't. I later realized this seems to happen when it falls out of sync with the IMAP server and the only fix is restarting the app. Hopefully the developers can sort this out.

“five stars”
Pros
Being able to find attachments quickly across multiple domains has been really useful. The setup was simple and the platform feels agile enough for day-to-day use.
Cons
Performance starts to slow down when the mailbox gets larger and the indexing process takes quite a while.

“powerful tools”
Pros
The design looks excellent and the interface feels clean and highly customizable. It's far less cluttered than the email software I used before and the toolset is very powerful.
Cons
Since I was coming from a different email platform, getting used to this one involved a fairly steep learning curve.

“easy to customize”
Pros
Right from day one, it was simple to tailor to what I needed. It keeps up with how I think so turning ideas into action feels very natural.
Cons
There's a small learning curve at the beginning, the first half hour can be a bit awkward but once that clicks, it's excellent.

“loved it!”
Pros
Postbox keeps things clean and easy which is a big plus. A lot of competing apps crowd the screen with too many ribbons and buttons but this one stays simple and well organized with the focus where it should be, on email. It also gives you plenty of ways to customize the experience, with options like themes, Quick Post and Focus Pane.
Cons
New swipe gestures in Postbox 7 on macOS feel a bit outdated and are harder to control than they should be. It takes too much effort to get the movement right for the function you want. Right now, a box appears without any kind of progress indicator so there's no clear sense of how far you need to swipe to trigger the gesture. In its current form, it also feels bulkier than the rest of the app's modern interface. I'd rather see a smaller swipe interaction, maybe attached to the selected email instead of covering the whole window, along with a much-needed progress bar.

“It has great potential”
Pros
Thanks for delivering such an amazing, great product.
Cons
Yearly subscription is the only downside for me since I'd much rather have a lifetime license option. A mobile app would also be fantastic. Another thing I really miss is a client that can display attachments directly in the message list the way Google Inbox used to, please bring that back and I'd be sold forever.

“Interface is good”
Pros
From the get go, the interface feels simple and clean, while still offering powerful search and organization features.
Cons
I do wish it connected with more tools although Outlook runs into the same limitation. Postbox does support add-ons but there just aren't many truly useful ones available. A lot of that depends on developers building add-ons through their API.

“convenient to use”
Pros
The speed, layout and overall usability stood out. It's a easy email client with plenty of useful features but it never feels bloated or cluttered.
Cons
Really need the ability to flag messages with different colours in here. If that were added, I'd move my largest client over to Postbox.

“brilliant folder filing”
Pros
Back when I began using Postbox in version 3.x, I didn't expect to still be relying on it all the way into v7.x but it has been an amazing product throughout. The standout feature for me is how it lets you file emails into folders without having to remember the whole folder path or layers. It simply searches for the folder and shows matching options in a drop-down list which makes organizing mail incredibly convenient. I only really noticed and appreciated that feature in v6, even though it had apparently been there before and I just overlooked it. Also, I manage around 15 email accounts through Postbox and having everything handled in one interface works perfectly for me.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any negatives to point out about this product. It's extremely well designed and when I say well made, I mean that in every possible sense.

“better handling for heavy inboxes”
Pros
Compared with the MacOS Mail client, Postbox has worked much better for us when dealing with multiple email accounts and high volumes of messages.
Cons
When there's a heavy stream of incoming email, indexing larger mail accounts can take a while.

“Interface is nice”
Pros
After trying a number of email apps on my Mac, I was glad to finally come across Postbox. I used the trial for a few days, then upgraded and I haven't regretted that decision at all. The interface looks excellent, it's very simple to use and it does a really good job of keeping everything organized.
Cons
Haven't run into any downsides yet. It has been a pleasure to use.

“reliable mac email companion”
Pros
It has been part of my workflow for years, starting around version 3 and now all the way to v7. It keeps improving over time and for anyone using a Mac as their main office setup, it feels like a really smart choice. I spend a lot of my day at the computer handling emails and this software has been hassle-free for me. The setup process is no more complicated than any other email client and when I moved over from Outlook back then, it felt much more user-friendly and didn't take long to get used to at all.
Cons
One thing I still haven't been able to sort out is how to import my settings and email onto a new computer and the online instructions don't seem very clear. Just this weekend I reset up my Mac twice and both times I tried to import everything instead of starting from scratch but I couldn't get it to work. Thankfully since my accounts are connected through IMAP, syncing the email itself was simple enough but the actual import never worked for me. I also had some problems when I moved from Mojave to Catalina which I believe were related to Catalina. After going back to Mojave, those issues disappeared.

“A complete messaging powerhouse”
Pros
Right away, the flexibility and capability stood out. It offers plenty of options to move through messages faster, along with solid formatting choices for both message content and message handling. The multi-account support is excellent as well.
Cons
A limitation is that it doesn't manage extremely large IMAP accounts particularly well especially when they're based on Gmail or G Suite.

“a good product!”
Pros
In this software, customization is a big plus for me. It lets me set up a workflow that fits the way I work best. I also really enjoy the Quick Post feature, it's incredibly convenient and very well done.
Cons
